New Aquaponic System: First Timer

Thanks all. I sure appreciate all the input. And know that I'm taking it all in. I have live plants in my fish tank. I dont know what my levels are. If you could pk tell me what the deal is called and I'll buy one tomorrow so I can stay on top of it. I'm working right now so I can't talk to much but ill be back.

So I've done some rearranging. I took my oldest biggest baby and pulled her from the fish tank and put her into her own plot with her own res. Also she has her own light. My ph in the new res is
ph 5.8
water temp 67 f
Nutes: Alaskan moorbloom 0-10-10
Fish Shit
Kelp
Epsom salt
H2o2
Ppm is at 680

I'm 35 days above ground with my oldest girl and we've come this far. im trying to do what I believe to he the best for her so she can do her best.
 
I have a few in some dirt as well and a clone in dirt as well. All seem to be doing well. My soul is fox farm salamander that hold water so I dont have to water but once a week or week and a half. All my lights are anywhere from 15 to 20 inches away from my children. I only have so much to invest so my nutes are the same as the aquaponic system.
 
Hey Josh, save yourself a world of trouble and never plant two seeds in the same container. Their roots can become intertwined and be damaged when transplanting.
 
Clone. This clone is a photo red dragon that didnt like my light schedule and started to die so I chopped the top off it and stuck the cut down into a dirt mix. She's been in the dirt mix for over a week now and is still looking good. So we'll see.

The 2 that are growing together are just random seed from smoke sacks. So I'm pretty excited to see the out come there.

This was my intention Rexter. I want to try to interweave the two and come out with a super plant. lol. I've read about weaving plants together so I figured I'd try it. The seed come out of some reggie brick that was hella stems. So I am at no loss if it dont work out. But for real Rexter I'm just happy they shot out so fast. all I did was throw the 2 seed in the dirt before work one morning and when I came home that night both had broke the surface already. I was in complete shock for it to have happened so fast

Oh yeah I'm excited. The dirt project is just messing around. My full attention is with the aquaponics system. I'm really trying to learn everything. I'm reading like 2 hours every night after work now. Lol. Work 10 hours in construction and then read for 2 hours after I get home. Long days and short night for me here.

Ahhh but that is the spark of joy in finding a hobby you love. The learning is part of the fun, trying all the wacky ideas that pour through your head after....now that is fun!
Aquaponics is something that greatly interests me, I dream of a aquaponic greenhouse for veggies with a corner set aside for medication grows.

Oh man I see that we could me good friends. it seem that we share the same view in a lot of ways. I'm having a blast with my new found hobby. I have tried so many things and do them my way to where they work best for me. I want to get to a point one day where I can not only keep my medication straight without any help from a pharmacy and keep me away from the produce section at the super market. Just for my family nothing on a scale of selling and produce just using it for our needs.

Self sufficiency- an old dream that many are dusting off in these times. And I'm counting myself in that.

Oh yeah. I've been doing it for a long time with our meat. but I want to be well rounded ya know. Lol
