Nematode's First Journal - LEDs & High Brix

Yep, I'm learning this through the fellow hb growers, and am very interested one growing a 100% sativa and 100% indica and sit down to really distinguish the difference, now how would strains like smokey's Pakistan kush x Malawi do, one of each crossed? I know smokey is killing everything in his tent so I'm sure his will be no different. Just curious if your gonna do crosses, seems those would be ideal.:)

At this time, I'm not set up to do crossing. Pollen slinging yes (but I don't do it) but actual stabilization of a cross I'm not set up for.

Honestly, I'm still learning to grow the stuff. Getting better all the time, but not as many earth shattering breakthroughs as 2 years ago.

When it seems like I've gotten to the end of the road with the soil tech (unforseeable when or if that will ever happen) there will already have been a ton of growers searching out the best pheno's and in time we'll all know what grows well and what isn't quite as stellar in HB.

As these pheno's are discovered and propagated, the quality is going to grow leaps and bounds. Seriously, go back and look at ANYONE's photo's from 4 years ago. Mine, anyone of the best growers on the site back then.

No one had anything like what we're doing right now. We're all improving, the soil is getting better, our understanding of it is growing and becoming more clear, and we've got the resin to prove it. Also some pretty damn impressive test results from some growers who've had it tested.

So, once I reach my maximum potential on the soil, I'll probably turn my attention to breeding...if I'm not stoned and BBQing too often.

I vote green crack. I used to get it from the dispensary and it always had a really unique taste unlike anything else. I would love to see how it does in HB.

Here is a thread with a ton of links on breeding. I have been working my way through them the last week or so.

List of Breeding and Seed Links - Index

With crosses you have to look below the surface, what were the parent lines, how many generations has it been being developed for and what kind of medium was it developed in. TGA strains always do really well in HB soil and my theory is its because he uses super soil to create them with. The Ace crosses should do fantastic in HB soil also since they are mostly two landraces crossed together :thumb: Something that has spent 20 generations being forced to love traditional nutes or get culled is a different story and thats where the OG drench and other things come into try and keep those happy :passitleft:

try to go right down the side of the pot. Doesn't hurt a thing.

i had to use a thick garden stake 1"+ thick to help support my Panama. I had to put it deep in the soil not near the softest edge...i was wondering if that may stressed it...it may be coincidental but the Panama slowed its completing blossoming, still waiting to finish..at same time.

If you scrape the side of the pot, it's almost as if you scored the roots again, like when transplanting. (not that you transplant or anything)

Shoving a stake right into the soil could disrupt an important root or two.

PICS!! My Choco is just now stretching and throwing out pistols, unless they really start stretching they are going to be a lot shorter than I thought. Yours looked like it really took off. How tall is it now?

Hey neiko, just measured her she is only 28inches from the soil now.....22 days after flip, gonna do the first CD on Thursday, but man she already is showing trichs since fri or sat.......can't wait, I'll get some daylight pics tomm for ya.....

But yeah it doesn't sound like either of our chocos are gonna catch your true sativas.....:cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey guys here is the choco, 23 days from flip....going to do the CD on Thursday, now are you guys give two full strength CD back to back when she needs water or should I give water until the next week and then do the CD? One other question if you do the CD drench back to back is tea served at full strength with both feedings?

Thanks all, here are a few pics for neiko.......

Thanks Nate! She's starting to get a shine to her now and I see resin too. Wait till you hit with the CAT drench. Mine have a whole bunch of little buds starting now. I think I'll CAT drench them Monday, that will be day 22. I hit the tangerine and tikal with the 1st CAT on day 15 then 22. They weren't drinking as much then so I was able to go back to back with just about a 1/2 gallon of pure water split between the 2 on like Thursday just to tie them over. At this point you will need to give them some water in between. Doc will probably chime in on this but I don't think you need to wait a full week between CAT drenches but you don't want to go 3 days in between. I gave tea with both CAT drenches too.
:high-five:

The end of 8 weeks = 56 days (plus a week or two). :cheesygrinsmiley:

Alright guys, here are some pics, of the JH......52days......she really didn't take to her new pot, I believe she was too root bound and I didn't wanna cut up the roots that far along in bloom, it was like week 5. Anyway so I am back to feeding her like she is root bound, small drenches more often......

Anyway you can see the top buds foxtailing, but a lot of the colas have a lot of Amber trichs on the leaves........I guess I'm still so new at this I don't know when she's done......lol, seed bank says 8weeks which would b wed.

Well here she is a lot of pics none very good, lol, hey duggs I'm gonna work on those leaves on the next plant......:):)
