Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

Hey 7 , Neiko and friends,...ya 7 , Neiko is most correct in his practice of giving them lots of GE toward the end. With my BT's , they got two or three GE Drenches during the last couple weeks. Always finish up with GE. Helps to sweeten the produce as opposed to Transplant.
cheers eh!....BTW ...very tasty looking buds sir! love me some good HB Panama! prolly my fav. ..next to Doc's Lemon Paki..of course!:grinjoint:

Well I feel like the are really near the end but they sure are drinking water still. All the petoles are now red and less than 1% are white. Gave then GE Drench yesterday. They look great to me, just waiting for them to stop drinking.
Yep they look good. Staying on growth will bulk and sweeten. Transplant may cause them to start blooming again. I always run only growth the last few weeks.

Good to know, for how long would you say??

my Panamas ranged mostly from 9+ to 10, 11 weeks, with reduced light schedules..
I experienced fades too. I attribute it to now mostly to smaller than suggested pots, and experimenting. :)

How long do you reduce for/ to?

my last several indoor grows have been run on just a set light schedule...no flipping, etc...from seed to herb.

i ran perpetual..same 4x 4 x almost 7ft tent ..using a metal shelve rack against back, on top a 200 Mars LED for seeds--> seedlings, a shelf or 2 lower with 450 LED for plants 2-3' tall, then would move to floor being lit with in middle of tent a 600 W LED on monkey cables for the front 1/2 of the tent. 5-6 ft plants in that space.

..then added another tent for larger plants and more grow space :)

That's what I had wanted to do at one time. I then came to a conclusion that it was not very optimal for me as a newbie to be trying all that just yet and the space seemed very cramped at the time.

I can now see in my head how to maybe do a few things to make it all work well. ..

i had same thought! i then said what do I have to lose in trying new stuff? i do that now sometimes..

...

i ran mostly Sativas too..:)

I had an IBM 286DX, then a 486... Good times, good times .
I understand man's inherent nature of trying to bend nature to suit his will, but ye gads! Flowering landrace sats in tents, is just masochism . I saw some poor bastard here was attempting Neville's Haze in a reconfigured mini refrigerator & I almost spit my covfefe all over my screen! .
Un-hybridized, landrace sativa gear does best outdoors, or greenhouse-d. Everything else [IMO] is sort of a shadow of the true beast. Which is why SSH has been such a historically superb, very much sativa dominant, hybrid. All the high, sans most of the landrace aggravations that indoor brings. The tl;dr: It's fun to watch other people run landrace indoors under HIDs, but not for this guy, personally.
What I haven't seen much of, are legit, practical Haze hybrids where the Haze isn't watered the fuck down & diluted too much. I see the name "Haze" used a lot, but I don't see too much in the way of it showing through in the hybrids. Probably just a reflection of all the shitty green rush "breeders" clogging the market. .
Looking awesome as always Niko, btw! .

Ok, ☕

There are many skilled growers here, who make it with sativas indoor, but I have to agree on principle, these plants show their best outdoor in equatorial or sub-equatorial climates. I manage to bring home many on 45 N, but only cause my climate is dominated by African anticyclones and I have a long growing season. I'd say sun dep is the way to go with sativas on northern latitudes.

I'll run GE....H20.....GE......H20.....GE and so on for about the last 2 weeks.

Welcome Skunkworkz, I agree about the landraces but when I started high brix, pure strains were recommended for the kit without having to give special attention to them. I was learning how to grow and how to use the kit so I picked landrace or close to it strains. I found I can control them pretty good now and I have no way of knowing what they are like in their natural environment but I do know they are special highs and tastes compared to the new hybrids. I like them all, including the new hybrids. The hybrids are definitely easier to manage and some have melt your face potency but I'm not really into that. I like the unique highs and tastes.

In other words, you've become a connoisseur. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I took your advice and flipped her as soon as I upcanned. Thanks for everything. :hugs: :green_heart:

Late to the party but sub'd! Will do a catch up read in the next few days.

Welcome aboard! I will be getting this thing going again soon. I have some plants that are almost pic worthy. Honestly gang I can't seem to get a pic worth sharing with this new phone. They all come out blurred for some reason and the color is not even close. I'm going to snag the wife's iphone and try it.

I did get a nice surprise yesterday....I had the Jamaican tested and Jamaican 2 is 2:1 cbd:thc. It tested 4.74 thc and 7.12 cbd and almost 14% overall. I was completely surprised by this result. This is a plant that puts me in a very different place. Don't discount what cbd can do for your overall experience. Not all plants need to be melt your face thc to be enjoyable. This plant is a Keeper for effect alone. Terps were 1.3 with equal parts caryophylene and Myrecene with the next major terp being pinene.

Keep it, CBD phenos like that are rare and if it produces nice terpenes it's even rarer!

What do you use to run your test? I have been wanting to get something to run tests on the crops I grow.

He send them to a lab to get tested. I found out there is one within my state and is only about an hour a way and plan to get a couple of strains tested when I can. Neiko how large of samples do you have to give. The lab here says .5 grams for potency and then it does not list how big of a sample they need to test terpenes but allude to there being a difference in the amount needed for different tests
