My Room - Perpetual LED Soil

I really must have pissed off Our Lady of Cannabis... bud rot on the big girl. I came in to get stronger glasses, a couple hits and my sharp knife. Dang

the buds look great mate, shame about the rot,

if i grew outdoors it would have to be a guerilla type grow well away from where i live so id need to grow in pots and allow the roots to grow out the bottom into the ground, so id start the plants indoors and transport big pots to a grow location and possible use grow cloth bags and grow in them and just cut a big hole in the bottom so the roots can grow down into the soil, id need to let it grow on its own with very little help from me, maybe the odd boost of nutrients every couple of weeks or some water if it was to hot,

Well yesterday it turns out it is worms... that one was right in the cola munching away and causing bud rot. More serious measures today.

Hi Buckshot. Worms for goodness sake. I should have thought of that. There was another grower a few years ago that had the same thing happen in a climate like yours. Little buggers. Munching on and in your stems.

Nice, disgusting pictures as usual, Partner.

Those last outdoor shots were the popcorn buds from S Girl that are still juicing. These two are the last girl to be harvested.

I am going to take guesses on how LITTLE this flow plant gave me... I even kept in the stems on the big tops

Well I got exactly 0 guesses so I will tell you... 53g

Buck I feel badly you are having so much trouble with bud rot. I do hope things get better for you.

Thanks Harley... I have plans to make it better next year

It sounds very dangerous and you have your freedom (what little we have) to loose... I have found it needs a lot of care or you have to have a lot of it both of those scenarios are scary to keep safe.

stay safe dp

Thank you OMM

I don't mind the ones that live in the stems, they don't seem to be hurting, it's the ones that decided a fat bud is the place to be!!!

Hey Bukshot, long nice journal I skipped most and just read last 4-5 pages. Looks like having bud rot issues on outdoor plants. I live in Southern WA state with its crappy weather, just rained like ALL weekend and a few extra days. So far no signs of bud rot though :wood:, but I grow in a green house. Maybe get a greenhouse for next year, can grow plants as tall but it saves them from the wet(and prying eyes). I bought a 10'X10' and 10 feet high in middle (8 on sides) for about 200 bucks and it seems to have held up well.

Thanks CD, yes I am planning cover for next year. Good luck and I hope you never have any rot!!

outdoor girls are looking nice buck! Summer turned out to be pretty good after a bad start :cheertwo:

Thank you NHG, it has been quite a nice stretch!!

Well, since you were in the navy.....

:cheesygrinsmiley: believe it or not I have never been on a navy ship!!!

That's it! This winter...ya gotta finish the story. Mumble, mumble, not on a ship......

:cheesygrinsmiley: Yes! I am almost out of the busy time, I have been giving it a lot of thought. Screw big, grey and underway, this was my style

Hey folks

Sorry I have been quiet. I have been busy. If he is still sick this will make day 4 of the stomach flu for my grandson but seeing as he made it through the night and is still sleeping... fingers crossed.

I have done a lot though. We have the gulf storm headed our way and I am not letting the last girl go down. I went out and got 4 10' pieces of rebar and wired them into a teepee I will will finish wiring today. One piece I have attached poly and will wrap her up for the worst of the storm.

I threw the last flow that just started blooming out in the garden :cheesygrinsmiley: I know it is too late but I am not loving flo, her last chance would be to surprise me now.

I got a portable clothes washer on order, after seeing Jon's posts I am going to give it a literal whirl.

What else? 12.5 wet zips of haze dried to a tiny 2.45 zips and after the cure it will be just over two :cheesygrinsmiley: in all this plant will give maybe another half in decent buds and a couple zips of popcorn. Not bad for the rot it suffered. Oh Wally world has a 10' x 10' x 8' greenhouse for a couple hundred. Its Mine!!!... I hope :cheesygrinsmiley: (I have to get this shit past the ganja widow!) < she see's me suffering less and being WAY less fucked up, she knows our insurance won't cover it and I would never be able to afford it so she tolerates it, to a point.

More work done

chopped a lot a broccoli yesterday, the haze and choc mint s girl are now in the bag.

I found I have been half assed watering and feeding. I am not sure how I am going to control my loss of continuity. I can see this will be a challenge but it is threatening my girls so I will have to overcome...myself.

I did something I don't usually do yesterday. I was having a close look at the two new hybrids. I was noticing these two were blocking all their sub branches with giant fan leaves. :hmmm: so I... I ... :shhh: defoliated them They needed it, I also pinched the top on the durple pream cause it is going to get big :cheesygrinsmiley:

The flo I chucked outside is loving it but it has a short time to produce.

I am proud of the hybrid still left outside. I have learned a lot. I am still out on buying a greenhouse. This will limit my plant size substantially... I am at 9' with this plant and next year I am going for 15' so that has to be one hell of a greenhouse :cheesygrinsmiley: I found this hybrid is susceptible to the worms because of its less woody and hollow stalks but it does really well in this climate. I just had a eureka moment... I can put the indica plants in the greenhouse and put the sativas right in the sun, duh.

Why am I babbling on? cause I gotta remember some of this later

I got some pics, soon

Botrytis is getting a lot of us this season damnit.
Even with my girls under cover, they still got it.
From now on stretchy Sativa's seem like the only way to go for me outdoors in B.C.
Hope you manage to keep yours safe from that storm coming brudda.

Hey Vick

Thanks for stopping in! I think the reason the sativas are avoiding rot (at least mine) is that they are blooming after that last muggy stretch of the late summer and are now into the drier air. I got my teepee up around my last girl and can't wait for Tuesday!

bud rot sucks but even with a severe loss I have more, better quality bud than I would have running the same plant inside so it was a win :cheesygrinsmiley: I still have the last girl to go and I can't wait for her YUM!

I gotta look at some pics and maybe post some

Thanks again!

A blast for ya
