This morning we had to be up at 545 to drive my stepson halfway to his girlfriends.....thats a 2 hour drive into what turned out to be "whiteout conditions" .....not a fan! Back safe and sound!
Today I am pulling the old wire from the breaker panel in the house. When we purchased this home last year.....their was existing wiring going through the wall to the outside for patio lighting and plugs. Those plugs never worked and Those wires still exist, but not for long. The wiring will be removed from the existing conduit, and my new 12/4 installed. I've got the advice of an electrician on how and where to hook up. I'll be doing that next.....but World Junior Hockey (a boxing day tradition) is on this afternoon.
I'll post some pics of the girls once it's lights off and I can safely use my flash.

The Czech's beat the Ivans already today. Canada and the U.S. square off on Friday.

So obviously nobody on this forum knows this, but just over 3 years ago my girlfriend and I took in a scared teenager whose sole caregiver had passed away and whose mother was suffering from drug addiction. To make a long story short, is teenager is an incredible young woman......... And an incredible soul. It's taken the better part of three years to see her come out of her shell, but look at what she produced for us for Christmas this year....... She never ceases to amaze me. Yup, this painting took her the better part of 8 months........and I'm fkng astonished. She's now received early acceptance to 2 of her 3 choices for university as she's also on her high school honour roll.... so with everything else going on in my life, our lives....... This beautiful young lady is emerging. I love her to bits.

My stepson, well I love him to bits too and I guess it's not worth hiding the weed from him anymore as he bought me this for Christmas LOL........ I swear to God these kids lol.

Thanks GM, I lucked into this lol. Honestly, we just try our best. Since ive been around, we've never hidden anything from these kids, and they respect us both for that. We have a completely (I think,lol) open relationship with them. They know what they mean to us (me), and they know I've always got their back if push comes to shove. I love them like no other....

Woah, Thats not even 2.0 or 3.0... This woman needs to be recognized as a artist! Its really really beautifull!
Your story touched me Guy. Its so hard to find the right People for guidance... bad examples are everywhere around us but This brave and big-hearted Things like you and ms Did is just amazing!
I have been thinking about Maybe help out Some kids that have been in trouble because of drugs. Lots of kids,Young adults and Ofcourse adults are addicted to so much bad stuff.. since I have a history in Those types of drugs(No not the big stuff like needle stuff or anything like that) I think I can actually help them. The problem is that I do smoke mj and drink the mj tea... so not Sure If they would let a stoner in to help addicts...
Anyway that was just in my mind I guess Hehe.

Thanks NS. I'm so incredibly proud of her and who she's becoming.
You have big heart my friend....although some kids have a tough exterior, theyre still just kids inside. Like us.....dont take no for an answer and you could have the rare opportunity to unlock something very very special. So where do you plan on lending a hand? I'm not religious but a church is where our kid went when she was scared.....in fact when we first met her she tried to shock us by saying she worshipped "the darklord" lol. What surprised her was when we said yes to buying her a copy of the satanic bible. Which we did, and she never opened it......kid.......i was a kid, they seem to forget that. Well, they remember, but they always comment on me being born in the 40s.....Im 45 lol. I thought we an honour roll student .....do the math kid lol.
I'm just lucky......the luckiest in fact. 5 years ago I had no kids. Now I have 2 of the most wonderful kids in the world. They look up to me and I embrace it.
She's super talented NS. I wish I had a photo of all of the art she's done. She did
a painting for another family member & brought her to tears.....clearly it's her outlet. She's actually going into chemical engineering. My daughter used to hide her 90lb body inside XL sweaters as she hid in the corner, now she's going on road trips with her best friend. Just goes to show........never give up on a child. I can't imagine life without either of them . My son is taking his welding apprenticeship, different works if art he creates, of which I'm equally proud.
As far as the room goes, I was wiring yesterday when I had time before the hockey game. Made some room in the panel. Thanks to my good friend 425jesse who pointed out via PM, that something about my plan sounded funny. I touched base with my electrician, he swung by and layed out a solid plan. A dedicated 20A circuit.....nice huh Jesse....lol. Today I should have the room hooked up to the house permanently. Cross your fingers that everything goes as planned!
