My Mystery Indica Reveg

The trichomes are definitely increasing, but are far more plentiful in the lower and sheltered buds. She is not what you would call a very pungent flowerer and the smell is subtle with sweet hash notes and faint citrus and pine.

This low odour further makes me think it could be Northern Lights, but I would expect more trichomes.

Some of my best plants have been very subtle on the smells, Atomic for example i could just about get away without running a filter through flower yet when smoked still packs more of a punch than most ive grown :)

So, I have made some cannabutter and my mother is now eager to try it however I'm still waiting for it to set and I definitely want to try it first so I can figure out an optimal dosage for her.

So, butter is ready and tested.

Some people don't like the taste of cannabutter, but I do! It's an earthy, nutty flavour!
As my mother is diabetic, I can't make the typical edibles for her, so I've suggested she try it plain with her regular evening snack of cracker bread.

She sounded disappointed that it wasn't ready for her to have earlier.

Just as a wee experiment, I've supercropped three of the bigger buds to see how she reacts to that.

So, the pistils are now about 80/90% amber, but the buds haven't really filled out at all. My magnifying glass is useless for seeing what the trichomes are truly like and I really need to invest in a 100X scope to really know what is going on at the micro level.

I have to admit it seems really precocious to have so many amber pistils at only 34 days since flip, though they list their Northern Lights at 38 -44 day flowering period.

My mother claimed her medicine made her float a bit this morning, which she further claimed she didn't like and was unenthusiastic about taking more. I reassured her that she was better taking it in the evening as it would help her relax and sleep better.

She was moaning like an unpaid prostitute at bed time - aches and pains and such like - so I convinced her to take her meds again and doubled her dose and told her it would help her sleep. Let's see what the morrow brings.

Wait, is that paranoid screaming I can hear? She'll be ok! :)

As this is my first indoor hydro grow, I have no idea whether the issues I've outlined are due entirely to my incompetence and mismanagement or are also genetically related. As such, I'm seriously considering whether to continue with my clones or go down a different route and introduce superior genes. I think I have now got a feel for this strain and know how I can improve her future performance (the list is long, but the steps to obviate the negative are few). Maybe I'll do both!

That being said, the rapid flowering is a trait well worth preserving and maybe I should do as Pennywise has done and masculinise a branch to breed from. Decisions, decisions ...

You have to spray them right from the flip, what were you thinking of using?

Keep em frosty ya'll

That I understand, and it is definitely a tad too late with this one, but I was thinking of the next gen. And colloidal silver was what first came to mind, unless you have a better option.
