My First Time Growing

There were a LOT of men in my family. My uncles started me out hunting small game with them at around 6 years old. We fished and hunted damn near every day depending on what season it was.

Before I got hurt I was a huge fisherman, but when my older brother (15 years older) tried numerous times to take me hunting when I was a teenager, but I could never shoot an animal. Even when I fished, It was strictly catch and release. I'm better at helping than hunting, but I respect the skill of being able to hunt for yourself. Just not something I was ever able to do myself. I am impressed, Gotta admit it, you surprised me with that one. I've seen how you fix and take care of all your stuff, grow like a champion not counting all your hybrids and stuff. Dang, you've got some talent Canna!

I decided to try getting off my butt and getting some pics for you guys. The first is the 4 girls in flower. The pics aren't great, but the best I can do for now. From the left is the 707 Truthband, The Amnesia, DCSSH and the amnesia clone.

So it looks like 707 Truthband and Amnesia will be your next harvest. They look good :high-five:

in veg I have the Truthband Clone

Last pic is the DCSSH Clone

I forgot to snap the New York Power Diesel (NYPD) but I'll get it later.

Truthband clone looks like she will step into the 707 & Amnesia slot after the next harvest.
How is her height compared to the flower tent? From where I sit, it seems like you might want to train her a little lower and wider, especially if she gets half the tent to herself after your next harvest.

If the New York Power Diesel and DCSSH clone can wait until the DCSSH and Amnesia clone now in flower finish, you will have timed this very, very well. :)

Thanks for the photographs :)

Personally, I have only done 4 and 5 generations of clones, but some folks have cloned for decades by taking clones .. of clones .. of clones ...

The key seems to be to choose strong, happy branches as the next clones. Weak branches seem to make weak clones which grow up to be weaker plants.. This theory is more of a personal opinion than fact.

(The theory is somewhat supported by the theories of RNA methylation and epigentic inheritance - some relatively new science that flies in the face of conventional wisdom - yet explains some flaws in conventional DNA inheritance theory. )

Fortuitously the stongest of the weakest , followed by the strongest of the strongest, can reverse the initial choice of a weak clone.

(Epigentic theories support the concept that environmentally stimulated epigenetic change can be reversed by reversing the environmental change.)

- - - - Bottom line - - - -

I suggest you clone your best branches on your best plants to get the best results.

p.s. Sorry if I am repeating myself here. I don't usually remember what I have posted when and where. I don't remember sharing this theory/observation in the last few months .

No your not repeating yourself, Thank you for the info. The Amnesia clone #2 was a small but sturdy branch. She is developing roots slower than the others, but it's still going strong. From now on I'll use a bigger branch though to be sure. Thanks Rad, Your advise always helps me out!

Good Morning Smokey :)

Thought just occurred to me, you have a WW x MK germing right? Were those marked "regular" on the bag?
If so, we will have to watch for possible male as it grows.

:circle-of-love:

Thanks Canna, Yes I have 2 WW x MK germinating (planted the newest one the 9th) but have almost given up hope on the first one but am going to give it 20 days. But they were labeled as regular. That's the biggest reason I hadn't used them before, I wanted to build up my plants that I knew were feminized first, But I also have some others labeled as regular too and I'm going to start using them after I get a few indica's going (Being as new as I was, I had no idea that all the plants I was growing were sativa dominant until I was told by PJ). I just wanted to plant the first ones knowing they were female considering I'm cutting back the narcs now on my own and the plan is to quit them completely, I was just worried I would end up with more males at the start and not have enough to take care of the pain. I'm going to start an Indica either today or tomorrow depending on my back (It's just sorer than normal at the beginning of the day from stiffness) I'm just waiting to be sure that the one I just planted sprouts to be sure I fixed the problem, then I'm starting the indica's that the seed fairy just brought me.

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, had a problem with my blood pressure early yesterday afternoon and ended up spending the night at the hospital (They call it a 23 hour stay, Must be because I'm on medicare). This morning my Doc at the hospital told me to take it easy today and I have been, But I looked at the Amnesia clone #2 and saw it was time to transplant and figured I could do that (working on the plants helps relax me, I love the way they look, grow and watching something grow that I planted, Just relaxes me). Anyways I took a few pics and thought I'd post them for you guys to see. The first pic is how the roots looked when I checked them but I also noticed that the roots came out of the side of the stalk in the cloner, My cloner is a little different than what Canna has, the way I understand it hers has bubbles the water to hit the bottom of the stalk, Mine has a submersible pump and you fill the bucket, submerse the pump (per the instructions) attach a PVC water sprayer to the top that comes out of the water and it shoots about 6 - 8 sprays at the side of the bucket, when you put the clone in, you have to get it lined up just right so a sprayer is hitting it, It works great unless you want to do multiple clone, after 2 you cant look thru the top whole to line up the water hitting the clone, But I have only cloned 1 at a time, so I still really like this cloner!. On this one, it seems to have slid down a little and the water ended up hitting the stalk and that's where most of the roots seem to be coming from.

The next pic is of the clone transplanted: It was really droopy and looks crooked now (She's planted straight up) but I'm hoping she'll stand back up as she acclimates to the soil.

Amnesia_clone_2.jpg

Next pic is of the New York Power Diesel I promised a pic of a couple days ago. She's getting close to moving to the big pot soon if not already. BTW, She was topped, but one side grew straight while the other side went sideways and looks like it wasn't topped until you closely, It's stalk and 2 long branches growing above it, Not real sure what happened with her (grown from seed).

Last pic is of the Truthband clone, She is 45 days old now and getting close to be moved to flower in
2 - 3 weeks I think:

Truthband_Clone.jpg

I'm hoping the Truthband clone gets bushier before I put her in flower, but she looks pretty good now. Also, I'm feeling fine now since my Doc put me on a new medicine today. I feel fine now, just have to monitor my B/P from now on.
I hope all of you have a great day!

Glad they let ya come home... I take 6 B/P meds a day... it sucks...:thedoubletake: but when I consider the alternative... I get over it...:biglaugh::biglaugh: Hope you feel better soon and listen to what your doctor tells you... I agree with ya on the calming of the garden... it works better than any of it on some days... Hope you are having a blessed and green day my friend.....:circle-of-love:

Glad your bp is better Smoke. Mine leans toward the high side - I'm always glad to see a normal reading.

Your cloner makes great roots! How long was that cutting in the cloner to get roots like that?

She was in the cloner for 13 days, I usually monitor them closer, but the BP problem started a few days ago (I didn't realize what it was at the time, just thought it was a migraine, But I have to admit, I pretty much had the grow on auto pilot a little while except for waterings) I usually only have them in the cloner 6-10 days max and get great roots.
