My First Journal, Kanno 26: I Will Grow 6 Critical Plants From Royal Queen Seeds

Definitely not @Jon, this is only my second real growth and I would definitely not pull someone here for fusekli:D. But thanks to the fact that it looks like I think it's good that I'm a beginner, but it's a fact that I've read a lot about growing for the last time;). But I have to say that you amused me by Jon lol.
As long as I can keep you laughing I'm happy Kanno.

In this theory the flower will be provided the essential energies and resources required to fulfill its reproductive responsibilities thru a localized network of synthesizers.
I think that's like almost literally word for word what I said.. :laughtwo: Maybe not...
It is way too early in the day for this deep stuff. if there is interest in what I am saying we can revisit this tonight when I can put on the straw hat and get into the grn some more. Azimuth let me know cuz it gets deep quick.
I would like to continue this deeper discussion, but Kanno got the anser to his question of whether or not to defoliate when already well into flower and no sense clogging this thread.

BUT, I do think it worthy of more in depth discussion even though I may not fully understand it all. Maybe you can post a response in your Straw Hats thread and we can link it back here in case anyone wants to follow us over?
To your question about defoliation during flower, it is my opinion the practice of cutting foliage during flower is unnecessary, and probably counterproductive. Apart from initial pruning that we here call Quad-lining, in early veg mode, the scissors can be stored until harvest.
There you go Kanno, 2 against, one(@Jon) in favor. Sorry, Jon. Majority rules. :cheesygrinsmiley:

?? I told him I wouldn't offer an opinion. How can it be two to one? More like two to no opinion. But for the record, the only leaves I take in flower are for air flow when I see moisture. If pressed I would have said exactly as you and Maritimer did just without the science.

Well, that is true. It's just funner poking you a bit. Given your grow chops it's hard to find stuff to disagree with you on, so sometimes manufacturing a fued is the best I can do. :laughtwo:

And, yes, I know funner is not actually a real word...

Greetings to you all, we have a 35 day flowering here for my critical plants:D. Since I was finding out last time if it was appropriate to cut them at this time, I found out that it is better to let it be. So today I went to check the tent thoroughly I inspected the girls and came out all the leaves and I have to say that there were enough when I was in the leaf, so I thought that I could spray them on the net.
IMG_20220503_145237.jpg
And that's how I did it and I got a hole in the middle for better air circulation;)

And when I was already raking in the branches, I came across such a surprise there:D

And here are some more critical plants.

Phew! I'm practically jealous, @Kanno26. This tent is just beautiful, and in this grower's opinion, you did an amazing job on opening up the air flow and removing garbage. That should help significantly and may give you the added benefit of creating, via the improved air flow upwards, a more even overall environment in the tent. With what you have here (me too in mine) there are two distinctly different climate zones, one where you have your yellow thing and one below all those buds underneath the canopy. That's how it always is, which is why I provide a solid concentration of air from underneath blowing upwards, as you also are doing here (of COURSE I love this!). The health of your plants is off the charts, so you are obviously hitting all the right watering and feeding notes. Btw - the dehumidifier I got takes up approximately the same amount of space as that tiny thing on the box you have in play at the moment, if that same volume of stuff you have there were shaped like a rectangle tall side up. Glorious work, Kanno, very impressive.

Thank you very much @Jon, I must say that I am proud of myself, the only thing that spoils me is the little completely useless dehumidifier who does nothing at all and it was wasted money:D. That's why I picked up in your thread about that dehumidifier because to look pretty good I'll have to look after some;).

Looking good there Kanno!

I was going to make a joke about how those buds are getting too big and you better watch out, but wasn't sure how it would translate through to your side. :laughtwo:

Also here is the link to @Maritimer 's continued comments in his thread if anyone is interested in the further discussion that was started in an earlier post in your thread.

Thanks a lot @Azimuth, already looking forward to them a lot;) thread I started to draw and I read it and it sounds interesting just a shame that do not understand but in time to definitely get;).

Ha, ha. Me too. I try to rephrase some of the stuff he is saying to see if I am getting his concepts and then he can further explain. It's like I need a translator as well with some of that science talk. :laughtwo:

No sweat @Kanno26, I gave you everything I have on the dehumidifier so far, lol. I hope it's as good as I hope.

I greet you all gardeners, today I decided to get a better dehumidifier because the one I have is useless and at night I still flourish from moisture around 60%, as I have about 4 weeks to complete and I do not want to risk those beautiful critical plants: D. After consulting @Jon, @Rexer, whom I want to thank for the consultation, I decided to get this one. Thanks to everyone for your insight;). The price is around $ 180 so I opted for this one.

Congratulations on your new toy @Kanno26! I love new toys. That thing will do just fine and man, is it sleek and cool looking. Make sure if you use it in the flower tent to cover the indicator lights on the display. They will screw up your grow if you don't, I promise, I lost an entire 5x5 scrog to that exact thing cuz I made the HUGE mistake of thinking that much light couldn't possibly do anything. I was wrong. It will. Lol. I actually use a piece of dark construction paper for this so I can remove it easily in the morning and retape in place at night. Make sure you stay on this, it's important.

Thanks @Jon, I'm looking forward to the toy tomorrow, so I'll show you here when I install it;). I'm counting on sticking lights now I have everything stuck there to avoid all problems, but thanks for the warning, I'll take care of it. At this stage, the ideal humidity is about 40%? I mean the report?

Hi @Kanno26 - that's what I'm setting mine at as soon as it arrives. 40%. And then when the buds get big for the last three weeks I'm going to go down to 35%. Several folks, including @Rexer most recently, have indicated to me that getting the RH that low for the final fattening up period yields excellent results.

So as soon as it arrives I will set it at 40% RH and as they will deal with it two to three weeks until the end so I will pull it down to 35% RH it sounds good I have never had such low humidity and I am already looking forward to it. After a few days we can compare findings about our new dehumidifier;).

Perfect! You're ahead of me, but same RH levels in play. That will be good.

Hi everyone, it's not over when a courier wakes you up in the morning and brings you a new toy .
IMG_20220506_094752.jpg
Here's a comparison to my old and useless dehumidifier. The difference is huge and terribly funny .
IMG_20220506_094737.jpg
I plugged it in right away and the dehumidifier showed a humidity of 70% after the lights came on! So I set it to 40% and we will see how long it takes me to reduce the humidity, how it achieves this, so it should stop itself and only the fan will run and continuously check the humidity and keep it at the set values. I'm really curious about how long it will take her;).

When I reach the required humidity, I have to seal the display with some cardboard or paperboard so that the diodes do not disturb my girl's night;).

Hi again and one more update to my critical plants that have 38 days in bloom today. Today is the second day without watering and I think tomorrow will be time for another 15 liters of watering. Here are some photos and also some close-ups;).

I have a portable air conditioner for the bedroom with super bright indicator lights. I just laid a small towel over the indicator panel and it did the job. For yours though you'll probably want to find a way to attach it so you don't accidentally you bump it off without noticing.
