How strong is the string?
I’d shove a steak down the middle and wire up that center stalk. :Namaste:
I’m using 6 foot long steel rods and I’m still having trouble.
Just be as diligent as you can.
She is beautiful and vulnerable.

Stay strong

She’s got a nice mix of trichomes now and 90% of the pistils are orange. Any advice?
Any sign of amber yet? If you're seeing lots of milky, and some amber in the buds themselves, not just the sugar leaves, then you are getting into the range of personal preference. Some like lots of amber, while some like not as much.

In my case here in mold central, I keep an eye on the dead stigmas (the hairs, what you are calling the pistils). If you start to see any fungus developing on them (grey filaments), that's not a good sign, because it could herald the onset of bud rot. Fungus likes to get started on dead material, and that's what those brown/orange stigmas are... they're dead. In order to see fungus starting on dead stigmas, you need some solid magnification. A little hand-held microscope works well, with an LED light on it. For example, a Carson MicroBrite Plus, $15. Also great for viewing trichomes of course. You can also clip a bud and bring it in for close table-top examination, where you have good lighting and steady magnification. With good light, I think you could easily see fungus with some strong reading glasses.

I do appreciate this information 🙏 I have a couple of jeweler's loupes and I am constantly looking for any signs of mould or bud rot. Thank you for correcting my terminology as well. I will be referring to them as stigmas from now on. I’m keeping an eye on her for sure. Thank you again for your help 😊

Good day everyone. Sorry I’ve been off a few days. Family business calls. Anyway I’m back. And my plant has taken on this beautiful purple hue which comes in the form of her flowers and some leaves that are now turning a shade of purple. The trichomes have purple stalks which is neat. I’m seeing a big difference between this week and last. The colour changes and bud size are consistent in growing. I’m so excited for harvest

Good day everyone! Sorry for not being active this week. It’s been busy. So I had to cut my plant down after a terrible storm last week. She’s currently drying out with a fan for circulation. I believe she’s at peak ripeness and my decision to cut her was made at the right time! I’m really excited to smoke her. It was really difficult for me to get her upstairs to her room. The plant was still a foot taller than myself and carrying her was comical as I was trying not to bump or fall down the stairs haha. 😂 we made it though. I was wondering if anyone in Ontario/Canada would like a little sample of budzilla to try and give me feedback. I say Ontario/Canada because of the legality of mailing grass. Let me know if you’re interested my Canadian friends. I’ll choose just one. I’m looking for a connoisseur who can taste and smell things that I can’t. What’s your opinion y’all?
