Hey man have u been in contact with health Canada or read that whole linkÉ Anyway i have my partner in contact with health Canada they have exchanged probably 100 emails. So what he is trying to tell me is there will be no dispenserys. It will be all secured deliveries. I highly dought the government will be handing out grants either. If u read into the security measures the safe alone U will be required to have. Im just estimating but it will probably cost 100K

U will need investors with big pokets!

it sounds to me like anybody can apply"What you should know:

To obtain a producer's licence from Health Canada, interested individuals or corporations would have to demonstrate compliance with the requirements outlined in the proposed Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations."

theres probably a ton of bs to deal with but who knows bro I think it cant hurt to try. either way I ll be growing some dank:tokin:

100k for the safe? I guess it all depends on if they will actually give out licenses bro. if this does actually happen bissness loans are not that hard to get.My wife is going to apply, I guess we will find out lol...it doesnt hurt to apply either way I ll still be growing:)

My partner briefly was explained to me the way the safe has to be set up. The safe has to be Enclosed in some sort of cement room! Also the safe will have primary access your your employees. There will be different levels of security clearance. So the way he made me understand it. Will be once get into the first part of the safe thats will be the area all regular employees can access. So on top of that inside this safe u will be required to have another safe. This safe will have the highest security access.

So basically u will need a huge ass safe inside of some sort cement enclosing what ever that means. In witch there is a safe in side the safe omg im confusising myself already.

Also he said security measure will be based on the area u live and will be catagoyed in 3 zones I guess. SO u will will need crazy security measures if u are in a major city and it will get more relaxed as u move father out of town. So be prepared to move to the country lolz.

All let u know any more useful info that I think might be good to know. Also if I were U I would a apply right now for a research and development license seems like people wanting to be a part the new system should be starting there witch U can do now!

I used to think the MMJ laws in Canada sounded better than those in the US. Nevermind. :laughtwo:

So legalization is going to make the cost of MMJ go up!?!?! WTF? If that isn't a huge flashing red warning sign that the system is fucked, I don't know what is.

Combine that with your new mandatory minimums, I'm sure glad I moved to WA last year. :)

And here I was worried that our new law would make the prices drop too low to make growing worthwhile. I expect a short term rise in prices in response to the bump in demand when a lot of new folks try MJ. Obviously the market will adjust (ie grow more) eventually and prices will fall, but my concern is how far.

So many things are changing on the legalization front it's exciting to see how it will all play out.

There not legalizing this in Canada (yet) sounds to me like there just trying to make medical use more wide spread. Nurses and dentist will be writing prescripts from what I understand.

Its a step in the right direction. Rember in Canada not more than a few years ago they for a short period decriminalized marijuana so everyone could carry an ounce this was short lived but in 5 years I expect this to return

They are not legalizing cannabis in Canada. Quite the opposite.


They are making medical patients not able to grow, or have growers for them, and have to buy from a mail service of a "pharma" dispensary. I don't want to apply because if I don't get accepted, there is no way I would grow again. I would not call it a step in the right direction at all. It will cost us (mmj growers) 250-500K for lawyers to fight for this constitutional right. I believe within 5 years it will come back too, but a lot of lives will be lost during that time that might have not been able to afford their meds. Don't know if that's irreplaceable

agreed with urban farmer, in a way it does sound like applying for a permit could send a red flag up then they might investigate your own grow. maybe just a paranoid response by me but you might wonder

your probably right guys its probably just a pipe dream or wishfull thinking, I have never once in my entire life had a pleasant experience dealing with the government and I doubt that will ever change. We got exited when we read up on it, my wife and I both tried to become card holders a couple years ago and we both got shot down in flames even though according to the guidelines we both qualify. so fuck em! I ll still keep doing what I love to do and maybe one day they will pull they're heads out of they're overpaid pompous asses and admit that they have been lying to us and that this is all about money for them and not well being for us... another pipe dream lol...sorry for ranting guys I used to be really patriotic when I was younger, and then I woke up...

I love my country bro dont get me wrong, I think once the baby boomer generation is out of office and into retirement homes things will be alot better for us.The current administration is so brainwashed by they're own propaganda its going to take a younger generation of more openminded leaders to actually listen to the proven scienentific facts that cannabis is natures remedie for alot of our ailments, until then we will still be here in the shadows doing what we know in our hearts is the right thing:)

God blessed American, but he missed the so called leaders...it's all about money...always has been and will be long after we are all gone...but what we are doing will become a "natural" thing for a lot of households stuck with doctors who get kick-backs from big pharma for prescribing their addictive and sometimes deadly drugs. The decisions being made by Washington are embarrassing ! :peace:
