Trying to decide a fun project, experiment, comparison, or review to do for the community with the extra funds (about 200) and can't seem to make up my mind. Couple good ideas suggested so far but they're ex$pen$ive ones lol

it almost sounds to good to be true but ive been reading up on some of it and theres even government grants available to help get you started if you get aprroved. talk about a dream bissness,it would probably be the first time in my life that I would look forward to going to work everyday lol...my wife would have the dispensiary all to herself and the growing would be all mine:)

definetly bro! fack..could you imagine! theres alot of card holders around here. with the way things seem to be going in North America I think now would be a good time to try something like this, get a foothold before eveybody else wants to give it a try.Im sure there will be limits to how many dispensiaries there can be in one area.

Yep, the wiring on the controller bucket is too short to relocate the electronics. Having the brains on the side of the bucket is one of the biggest design flaws all of these systems share IMHO. It's very likely I will modify mine in the future. I'll attach a plug to a 6' cable that will connect the brain to the control bucket's floats.

Anything with a float valve controlling water has the potential to flood. I second X's warning. I got the drain pump cord hooked on the upper float in my controller bucket recently. That meant it could not tell when the controller was full, so it just kept pumping away. I think it was only like that for a single flood cycle. Luckily, my basement is a concrete floor, so there was no damage. My biggest concern was that controller bucket being right there where the water was spilling out of the bucket.

fyi, that controller isn't a C.A.P. product. It's from Aquahub.

I do a LOT of DIY. In general, I find that DIY does not end up saving much money. Usually I do it for a couple reasons. First, I enjoy making things. Second, a DIY solution will allow you to combine the best attributes of all the retail products offered and/or customize the solution to your particular circumstance. I've made a large portion of the hiking gear I use. I make my own shelters and cooksets for the reasons I just outlined. The features and design elements I put into my gear are not available in the marketplace. That's when I think DIY is really worthwhile. This may be another one of those cases. Assuming I can find the time, I hope to DIY the bucket system I use in the second flowering room.

huh... I wonder if Mrs Hiker would like to run a dispensary/store/ I'm really only interested in being on the supply/production side, but I think she likes retail. That division of labor had never occurred to me.

my sister works at the cancer treatment center and she has seen what MMJ can do, and has changed her mind about what I do .
I spent hours showing her all the important stuff on it and now she wants to grow too, or at least support the cost of equip any way

And my wife has been looking at the buisiness end of this.
I want to be a micro grower, limited production, high quality

Jon, I was thinking about your problem with ordering the Titan system in Canada. If the shipping will be hundreds of dollars, is that less than the cost of a road trip? What if you and the Mrs took a little drive south, came into the US to buy the Titan system, then drove back? I'm not expert, so there are likely several reasons why this isn't a good idea. I just don't know what they are. Make a little holiday out of it.

If you can get the Aquahub controller though, that's probably a better option, but who doesn't like road trips! :)

Yes, this is goin to be GREAT fun (DIY) !!! I m thinking to get one and build a small veg system that will go on the bottom of the tent, in case I can't fit all pots+mums in the same level and use gravity fittings !!! (4x4 tent)

Just trying to brainstorm ideas. If you have the time, motivation, and abilities, a DIY solution will probably provide the best result. After revisiting the Aquahub site, I want to start building my new system too! I'll have to live vicariously through you. It will be 9-12 moths before I start building the second flower room.

Hmmm that plan might be harder than anticipated bro

28,000 PPL/DPL(Personal/Designated) licenses are about to be revoked on March 31st, 2014. Taking place will be a mail order/pharma dispensaries only for supply. Canadian MMJ is only grown in the PPS (PlantPrarieSystems) in Manitoba currently and they do wish to expand, but their requirements for growers are fucked. Harper is retarted, and only wants "certified scientists/gardners for production" so we're all guessing it will be near impossible to get a job their without the requirements or even know someone in the system. You never know though, it could happen if they are completely short staffed for the high demand? You should check out some of Jason Wilcox's most recent videos on youtube, they cover the whole ordeal of what's going on. Sorry for rambling, just pisses me off that their making old, sick, disabled, suffering, poor people not only pay for their meds....but going from $1.5 a gram to $8!!!
