ive heard you can but I dont use it who knows whats in it.Besides I dont really have room for another res and humidity is a constant battle as it is

For sure, I hope to get a RDWC setup running before the year is out. Until then I think I'm switching to coco...
It's hard to make the move, I can grow healthy plants in soil. It's just too messy and dirty... I don't like pitching spent soil or having dirt all over the place. I would really like the growth rate and yield you hydro guys achieve. I find it very hard to sit still and do only what I know. I'm tryin' to learn new things and soak up all this plant has to offer. In the words of Tyrese: "We Hooongry".

Check these waterfarms out Dread,I have 2 of them and I got exellent results with them.they are about as easy as it gets for hydro and if you shop around on fleebay you can get them for 70-90 bucks.Grab one or two and give it a try,this way your not taking up all your space with a system you could still do some in soil until you get the hang of it.they come with everything you need,hydroton and 1 litre of each of they're 3 part system.they run off of a 3 watt pump.im going to fire mine back up soon and stop using soil all together for the same reasons as you bro,the mess and the bugs.

Word bro, thanks. I see those at the local shops and they seem pretty easy. I'll keep them in mind. I think if I go for it I'm going to use a remote reservoir. Should be much easier to keep res temps in check if the res is outside of the grow room...

just ordered myself another 400w hps with cooltube and ballast to put into my outdoor grow when the weather is no good.. thats 800w total now that wont make a big diff in power bill will it??

I see you are right . you are payin almost double for elec bill. I would be putin some solar panale and wind mil on top of my house.

its no better here in Canada bro my bill is around 900-1000 a month.Im putting a seperate service in the new space so I will know exactly how much it cost to run my set-up.
