I cant seem to find a free download for it Hoz and its not a cheap program any idea where I can get it?

get Paint.NET

It's free and has many of the important features that Photoshop has, such as a history list, layers, smart selection tools, etc. Layers and the history being the most useful. A lot of folks recommend GIMP. I don't recommend it all. I've tried it, twice, but they use a logic that I just can't get used to. I tried 2 very different version #s and I still didn't like it. Paint.NET is a standard install for any machine I use often.

I'm using an older version I have had for years, still works good. Not sure any more, I knew there were wares sites in the day, but that was long ago and far away....Good way to get a virus now days.

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

arnt all fans attached to the buds?? im not sure what i should be trimming at this stage, anything further would be greatly appreciated

Large fans are will develop at nodes on you plant. Remove these. You will also get small leaves which will develop as if they are literally coming out of the buds. Leave these alone. If in doubt just look right to the base of the buds and you will see where the large fans start. These bigger leaves can have petiole or stems on them inches long on a decent size plant. If you start with those leaves that would be a good intro to defoliation and will certainly give more light to lower bud sites.

Hope you dont mind me jumping in here Jon! :peace:

hey tony thanks for the input, do you have a picture on hand or a link to one, i no how to defoliate during veg but ive never done it before in flower and since my scrog is fairly large i would like to get some light to the lower sites, but i dont want to harm the plant. thanks for helping!

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

I personally dont have any pics (google may help but plenty of other growers will chime in i am sure) but some growers basically take any leaf they can get there fingers to. I think a cautious aproach is the safest as not all strains like defoliation. If you doing a scrog i would just take all leaves under the screen and anything up top which is casting shade on a bud. As i said maybe lean towards the lighter side to begin with and just take a few every day to see how your girl responds. As you get more confident with your strain and conditions you will get a better idea of how your plants respond to the plucking :peace:

Re: My First Grow Journal-Holy Grail Kush- Purple Kush 6x12 Scrog 4 x 600W LEDs On Mo

you dont really need pics D, I personally remove just about any "fan leaf not to be confused with sugar leaf) at or around day 45 of flower. fan leaves will have a stalk and alot less trychs than sugar leaf which is directly attached to the nugs and covered in trychs.I keep my fan leaves seperate from the sugar leaf.I use the fan leaves to make green oil for some reason people around here like it(probably because its cheap) and I use all the sugar leaf and unsellable popcorn or fluff for bubble hash. The better the bubble hash material the better chance you have of making full melt bubble which is my favorite:)
