I agree that u should get into hydro when ever you feel like it grogreen. It aint that hard if u are methodical and care about what u doin.
By the way i repped you the other day jon705 after our discussion on your ph and ppm stuff. Nice to not be dealin with a bunch of nubs on this site.

Hey everyone:)
Ive been doing utube vids of the current grow in the flower room.I started this journal on :420: to see if I would get more feedback and pointers here and 420 magazine wins by a landslide:bravo: I really appreciate all the good vibes here:thanks: Im confident with all the good advice and new training tecniques im learning here that this will be my best grow to date with this system.

So...I wasnt going to add any pics for a few days because I didnt think much would happen because of the defoliation. This is the reason I havent switched to organics, imo the recovery time and growth rate u can get with a dialed in hydro system cannot be beat.The girls have already started to fill back in after just under 24hrs.

You asked about the height of the lights, I have no experience of LED so I googled and the majority of advice was along the lines of ‘as close as you can without burning’ & ‘yes, really that close!’, I would just ensure the canopy is within the footprint of light!

Love the light movers, never seen them before, tremendous bit of kit!

:) glad to hear your girls like their hair cuts, and your flowering plants look great too! I cam across a bit of info a while back about how far to keep your light from your plants, I think it was on the actual website where I was looking to purchase the light from, but I do remember there is a trick to how high you should have them, something to do with if you have them too close they won't "work" to get to the light....i'll see if i can find the info and pass it on, for now the height looks good, could probly even go a couple inches lower, wouldnt hurt nothing, but they are also fine where they are right now, let me find that info before you make any adjustments based on my advice, dont wanna steer you in the wrong direction

the recomendations are start the clones/seedlings 48 inchs from the lights and let them grow up into them.These lights are freakin powerful!I could'nt get them high enough because of the stools under the buckets,the girls were already well into the screen when I got the lights.for the hgk/pk round im removing the buckets and that gives me the 48 inches im looking for not to mention another 8 inches before they get to the screen.Because the lights are on movers I will probably start the girls at 40 inches and slowly lower the lights as they get used to them.Im hoping to find they're happy place this way:)

Good news! I got my hydro bill today.Never thought I would ever say that lol.this is the first bill I have recieved that is all led. its down over $200 from the hps bills.this is with the led's running on alll switches,2 dehumidifiers and 10 000 btu a/c running 24/7.Its still a huge bill to pay but alot better than it was!I love these lights.:circle-of-love:

ya thats what I read, you want your plants to grow into them not have your lights move up as they grow as you would with HPS. Something to do with they should reach for the light, i dont remember, i got the brain of an 80 yeard old man :rofl:
