My 2nd 1st Attempt - Bubble Bucket Grow

Thanks for looking here they are best I can tell the LSD is not growing any new leaves in 4 days now!

Ya Im looking back at my nut schedule and I see that I only gave 8ml of aquashield. I guess I was afraid to burn it. I'll up it to 10ml per gallon as the middle strength suggested on the bottle(over the next 2 days).

Aquashield wont harm your plant in any way. It wont "burn" your plant. I would suggest the maximum does as per the bottle depending on your use. For me, i use the highest, so i can battle high water temps as well when i use it to brew tea with, i use a high dose.

Thanks for the advice I'll go close to the max maybe 13ml per gallon. I went ahead an added another 10 ml to each bucket just before lights out. Still can't see any grow from that stupid LSD seedling its just got 2 leaves for like a week. I see roots growing and they are wet not actually in the water but still water drops all over them. Seems my water temp went down to 77F when I covered the entire surface of bucket#1 with mylar. That's down from the 79f I get when not using a frozen water bottle. Still using bottle in bucket#2 water temp is 74f.

I have a question if I may..

What ppm is you water because if it's above 100 ppm the ph perfect nutes don't work outside that range also can you use organic nutes with synthetic nutes as aincent earth is organic and the 3 part is synth I thought, I maybe wrong..

I'm using sensi 2 part ph perfect and it works great I only ph my water first before adding nutes then leave it alone for a week till next res change and it stays in range. Check my link :)

Good luck with your ladies :peace:

Those are good questions. I really don't know if Using ancient earth with the 3 part AN synthetic will work but I don't know. I was thinking it may work. Seems people use aquashield and great white I figured they are organic and well... maybe ancient earth will be fine as well since its kinda just a root enhancement. Please correct me as I am just guessing on this part. It seems to not cause a problem. As far as the PPM my water is like 300-350 ppm so ya that explains why my PH perfect isn't working. I usually just bubble some water and mix my nutes then correct ph. So far this week ph is stable #1 at PH 5.7 #2 at PH 5.8. Ya ill check yours out I'm just trying to figure it out based on looking at other grows and trying to make the most of my amount of lights and space. Hopefully I'll be adding another 100W of light in a few weeks. Any thoughts on the LSD sprout being so small at 2 weeks from seed?

I really couldn't tell your more about the aqua shield or great white as I don't use them I have only used h202 because I had abit of root rot in my first few weeks.. As for the LSD sprout maybe it has been stunted by too much nutes at a young age compared to the other plant that is on a stronger feeding schedule in the dwc..I'm still a newbie myself and always learning new things everyday.. For all I know it could work out for you and you could have monsters on your hands in a few weeks :)

Ya I waited for 2 weeks before adding nuts to the DWC that let the LSD reach 10 days before it got anything but super low dose of aquashield and rapidroot and great white. Had no choice but goto just under 1/4 strength on nuts or the older 1 will die its screaming for nuts well both are I went so low at 1/8 nuts on #1 everyone says they newb out and overfeed so I guess I got to careful.

Next time, dont grow two plants in such close proximity to one another if you are going to use the same container. use something like a Rubbermaid tote and drill holes for net pots and then you can have multiple plants per container, just remember, that some strains are heavier feeders than others, and will suck all the nutrients up before the other plant can get a drink.

if you want a solution to your PH issues, just use the GH 3 part flora series and manage your PH with GH Florablend for down and GH ArmorSi for up. Both are beneficial to your plant and gives you the desired up and down without having to add PH buffers which raise your PPMs unnecessarily

IMO I think you have to many nutes but not enough... if you go advance nutrients ph perfect on one plant then you would need to get your tap water under 100 ppm by either filtering or buying an R/O system then running g.m.b carboload for flower with big bud and final phase ( blood bud does the same as carb) and on the other you could go the gh route.. I don't use any benificals because I believe that tap water has enough to get a plant going but if I had root rot then I'd add h202.. If was running a R/O then I would use some.. It would be best to split the plants up and you could always rotate every day till your light arrives.. Just my 2 cents.. Laters :)

I would avoid using H2O2 or Dutch Master Zone for treating Pythium. Aquashield is a much better, long lasting solution.

H2O2 just breaks down into water, thus you have to add more in a day or two to see any results. And then your Pythium just comes back again. DM Zone doesn't seem to work for the price tag.

Aquashield not only obliterates Pythium, but also protects and prevents against it.

The only way to avoid Pythium, in Hydroponics, is to use beneficial bacteria. A sterile environment is a breeding zone for Pythium and other bad pathogens

And why pay more for the AN "PH perfect"? its not even PH perfect unless you are using RO or distilled water.

Like i suggested.. Gen Hydro's FloraBlend (Vegan Plant booster) and ArmorSi (Silicate supplement) can easily manage your PH while keeping your PPM's in check and also adding beneficial minerals to your plants.

Also, I highly recommend using Florablend when you germinate seeds along with Aquashield and any other Beneficial bacteria you may have or want to use (Gen Hydro's Subculture-M, Plant Success' Great White...etc)

You will see amazing germination rates, and vigorous sprouts!

I stand corrected ;)

I have to disagree about your comments on advance nutrients ph perfect.. I don't use either distilled or R/O water, just regular tap water under 100 ppm and my ph stays in check every week and never goes higher than 6.

Well, you want your PH to go higher than 6, so i think thats kind of useless then. you want fluctuation in your PH, because certain elements are only available at certain PH levels. In hydroponics you want a PH range of 5.5-6.5 with 5.8 being the optimal level for nutrient uptake. Fluctuation is good tho because it allows the proper intake of nutrients you are feeding your plants. It ensures they use up everything. Elements like Phosphorous which are more readily available at a PH level of ABOVE 5.8 same as Magnesium, which is very important to your plants health and vigor, whereas Manganese is more readily available below 5.6

Here's a nutrient availability chart to reference

as long as you stay within the range you are good. If your PH perfect keeps it there for you, then great! I have not used AN nutes as of yet, only GH's 3 part flora series and Future Harvest 3 Part Hollands Secret.

Both i have had great results with, and wish i could get more of the Future Harvests Plantlife series nutrients without having to pay a shit ton of money!! Expensive, but very good stuff!
