it's spider mites. Not many though. But enough to wreak my day.
Van - everyone said you had a fix for this?
Would the vacuum work? Like happy said???
I'm not sitting on stacks like mayweather. I'm sitting on 0.55cents! I'm upset to wake up to this.
I really thought it was left over drywall from when I took a fall in my grow room.
I got into a stressful mode and removed 5 leafs. I was in a panic and thankfully FunGoo caught me stressing and pulled me to be occupied by him or I might of took every leaf off.
Right now I have a glue trap sitting under the plant and have my fan blasting the nuke. I moved the VTF 10 inches away from the nuke since there are NO mites on her.
I'm doing this all on pills and have no more to Smoke
there are several things you can do Jay. You will most likely not get rid of them completely so it will be more about managing and controlling them. First off, start preparing yourself for a bit of a battle. These bugs are resilient. They breed fast so constant treatments are the key. You can't treat once and think its going to be done. You will need to treat them often to wear them down.
First off....water and soap or water and rubbing alcohol are your friend. You can spray with either of those daily if you want. The water and alcohol should be mixed at a 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol. Basically I mix about 2 cups of water with a little less than 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol. The alcohol won't hurt the plant at that ratio.
You want a sprayer that has some pressure to it if possible. And spray them often. I like to take the plant into the bathroom to do the spraying. I angle the plant so that as I spray it, the drops drip into the tub and when I finish, I turn on the shower and let it run and get rid of any of them that dripped into the tub (make sure you take the plant out of the tub before turning the water on).
You can also spray with Neem oil once every few days as well. There are other things such as Azamax, or SM-90, SNS-217 that you can spray every 3-4 days as well but those tend to be pricier. The thing with mites is they can develop a tolerance to what you are treating with (which is another reason I like a high pressure sprayer that will knock them off even if it doesn't kill them).
Soap and water and alcohol and water are free and you can use almost daily (I would alternate each day between the two....and maybe add an additional water only spray in the tub as well) The more often you spray, the more you will wash them off the underside of your leaves and it will also wash the eggs off as well.
Also, one of the easiest things to do is to trim off the leaves that are more infected and get them out of your house. That eliminates the breeding capacity of a lot of the bugs. Try vacuuming the underside of the leaves as well......but make sure you get ride of what you vacuumed off the leaves. You are going to have to get creative with your lack of funding jay. It will require more sprayings but you can do it brother. I had a horrible infestation that I fought for months.
When you finish this harvest, don't start any new seeds until you can sterilize your house. You don't want to keep fighting these things brother.
