My 1st Medical Grow - Thanks To NukeHeads

It's not your fault lol I just know this is my luck in life. Nothing goes as planned with me as you have been seeing!
My lights just flipped so I'm going to wonder until tomorrow.

Stay optimistic it does reassemble mites but hopefully it's a nutrient issue or something it the nature.

it's spider mites. Not many though. But enough to wreak my day.

Van - everyone said you had a fix for this?

Would the vacuum work? Like happy said???
I'm not sitting on stacks like mayweather. I'm sitting on 0.55cents! I'm upset to wake up to this.

I really thought it was left over drywall from when I took a fall in my grow room.

I got into a stressful mode and removed 5 leafs. I was in a panic and thankfully FunGoo caught me stressing and pulled me to be occupied by him or I might of took every leaf off.
Right now I have a glue trap sitting under the plant and have my fan blasting the nuke. I moved the VTF 10 inches away from the nuke since there are NO mites on her.
I'm doing this all on pills and have no more to Smoke

Maybe someone has a insecticide soap recipe, I'm not sure how effective it is on spitermites but it might slow them down until you can get something better. I'm sure someone will chime in and help. Hopefully you can get it taken care of...️

Thanks for responding. I'm a wreak over here. I had to take a Xanax stick just to calm down before I ripped off every leaf lol I do have a vacuum that I got from the thrift shop and it has major suction. So if that would work without me sucking up the plant I will try it if everyone gives me the green light.

I have heard of that but I couldn't give the green light cause I can't say for sure. I bought this stuff from Amazon and it killed them no problem.

I know treat once a month with it. You can Google homade insecure soap and it will give you a recipe. Soap and vegetable oil is one I believe...️

Spider mites aren't real hard to kill, soap water or some isopropyl alcohol in water should knock them down. Keep the fan going and raise your humidity if at all possible. Knock them down in numbers and you'll make it to harvest.

Worst thing you can do is pluck those leaves off that's what I did to cause my harvest to go to shit. Stunted everything mid flower and they quit bulking when they were supposed to put on the most weight. Definitely suck up as many as you can and also keep a lot of airflow on the plants and make sure there aren't many leaves overlapping or allowing stagnant air to sit between leaves. Also what are your temps? Keeping it at around the high 60's would really be best if possible and try to avoid anything over 80 also they like lower humidity so if humidity is low you could try raising it... None of that stuff will get rid of them but could slow breeding.

I would personally treat every plant like they have mites on them... Chances are there are a couple here and there you can't see... They can travel via wind after all (lol we are all fucked) can hitch a ride on you or the dog. So treat everything like it's infected and clean everything thoroughly. When my harvest came I only lost a few grams to spider mites themselves but I lost probably close to 80-100 grams in all from what I personally did to the plants when I stressed out. When you dry the plants just be sure to let them fully dry I'd even venture on the a bit to over dry side because they'll leave the buds and hopefully relocate to the top of the stem where you chopped since it would dry last. Just from now on use preventative measurements which is what a lot of good growers recommend anyhow because stuff like mites are just to damn small and easy to travel if you don't shower and change before going into the grow room same with the dog unfortunately.

Also if you can take the girls into the shower turn them upside down and spray the shit out of the undersides of the leaves with water. Thats better than the vacuum imo because they get flushed instead of all in your vacuum that will now probably need to be taken apart and cleaned.

The most important thing though is after the harvest. You don't want this to happen again so you will probably want to clean everything with a mild bleach solution and may even want to take a peak inside your lights just in case you have some hitch hikers. But most importantly I'd say from now on use neem oil every 2-3 waterings up until mid mid to earlyish flower. You may want to look into bud washing too for when it's time to harvest the plants may get rid of any left over critters if done right.

they also hate hate hate spike lavenda the eggs will die on contact. also if you wish you can use a flea bomb to kill the fuckers then steam in all the seams and nooks then vacume to kill the lil shits lol.

Which is a good point to keep in mind... Some products kill the eggs while others kill the mites themselves. So that's a big thing to consider when treating you want to make sure you are doing something to combat both. That away they can be hit hard at once without a chance to adapt to the treatment.

there are several things you can do Jay. You will most likely not get rid of them completely so it will be more about managing and controlling them. First off, start preparing yourself for a bit of a battle. These bugs are resilient. They breed fast so constant treatments are the key. You can't treat once and think its going to be done. You will need to treat them often to wear them down.

First off....water and soap or water and rubbing alcohol are your friend. You can spray with either of those daily if you want. The water and alcohol should be mixed at a 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol. Basically I mix about 2 cups of water with a little less than 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol. The alcohol won't hurt the plant at that ratio.

You want a sprayer that has some pressure to it if possible. And spray them often. I like to take the plant into the bathroom to do the spraying. I angle the plant so that as I spray it, the drops drip into the tub and when I finish, I turn on the shower and let it run and get rid of any of them that dripped into the tub (make sure you take the plant out of the tub before turning the water on).

You can also spray with Neem oil once every few days as well. There are other things such as Azamax, or SM-90, SNS-217 that you can spray every 3-4 days as well but those tend to be pricier. The thing with mites is they can develop a tolerance to what you are treating with (which is another reason I like a high pressure sprayer that will knock them off even if it doesn't kill them).

Soap and water and alcohol and water are free and you can use almost daily (I would alternate each day between the two....and maybe add an additional water only spray in the tub as well) The more often you spray, the more you will wash them off the underside of your leaves and it will also wash the eggs off as well.

Also, one of the easiest things to do is to trim off the leaves that are more infected and get them out of your house. That eliminates the breeding capacity of a lot of the bugs. Try vacuuming the underside of the leaves as well......but make sure you get ride of what you vacuumed off the leaves. You are going to have to get creative with your lack of funding jay. It will require more sprayings but you can do it brother. I had a horrible infestation that I fought for months.

When you finish this harvest, don't start any new seeds until you can sterilize your house. You don't want to keep fighting these things brother.

You will definitely need to bud wash when you harvest Jay!!! Its easy and we will walk you through it when it gets to that point.

Looks like van stank has some good answers. Do you have alcohol currently? That and the shower would be a good combo. If you are working on them, then you will make it to harvest. If it is only a few then you caught it early and have a great chance to get rid of hem 100% and if not you can at least keep them at bay.

Van is the man! I do not have any alcohol right now.. I'm waiting on feb 1st to get my SSD so I may buy what I need. For not I'm hitting the nuke hard with a fan and I also sucked with a vacuum
