My 1st Attempt At AutoFlowers!

That would make one lucky; getting their ladies drunk first! racecar

Hello everyone!

I hope the day has brought you DANKY, frosty nuggets !

BIG UPDATE !!! ... And everything above will be covered so thanks to all that commented.

Hope everyone is well. How has all of your day's been?

Today's update.

So ... Guess who went shopping today! :) ... OHHHHH YEHHHHH !

I have been a very busy man today indeed! Not only have I bought the ladies some goodies, I've placed them in their new home!

YAY !

I have transplanted all 3 of the Auto's, leaving the Berry Delights in the 1 pint cups to mature a little more. The transplants into the 10 litre pots went VERY well, damaging no roots and not disturbing them at all. So fingers crossed they shall only stunt for minimal time until they begin to thrive in their new environment.

I have also moved all except one 'Berry Delight' into my bathroom and inside the shower cubical. It's a PERFECT location for my ladies as it is very cool and easily ventilated. I shall explain about the Berry Delight further along in this post. All the ladies seem to be loving their new home!

Ok, so here we go.

I know how you guys and gals like pictures so once again, here's some snaps of the quickly growing ladies in their new habitat.

Also I'll be showing you my method of temporarily supporting newly sprouted plants, in the case of stretching or if they are too delicate to be placed next to a fan, etc ... I hope it helps!

ENJOY :)

The ladies getting packed up and ready to move to their new home!

Here's the nutrients and medium I decided to go with. The shop owner recommended them to me as they are perfect for soil grows and within my budget! Sugar Royal (Plagron) has been ordered and delivered within the next week. The shop didn't have any in stock but it's no biggie because I'm not going to start feeding the ladies for atleast another 2 weeks anyway. The soil is just a basic soil mix with about 15-20% perlite and basic/minimal nutrients that feed the plant for about 3 weeks.

Ok for the left out Berry Delight. The "runt" as I now call her is now in it's own environment under my gas boiler. The other is with the Auto's and she seems to be doing fine, showing her 2nd node and vibrant green like the rest.

I found this in my local 'ardware store also and for a bargain of only £2.99 I didn't hesitate. I decided to try the "runt" under a high powered LED. (This thing can almost blind you!) It's mid blue/white spectrum so it's perfect for growing/vegging. Lets hope she reacts to this a bit better :)

That's all the pictures I have to show for now.

I hope everyone is enjoying my journal so far and once again, it wouldn't be possible without ALL of you guys and 420.

So THANK YOU ! :)

:thanks:

Green wishes to all !

SWEET mate.....loving the wire supports...VERY CLEVER :) :bravo: just watch they dont go tight on those girls. Shower, nice idea but, dude, hope you've stocked up on Lynx???? Looking forward to seeing the LED effect too. Heard a lot of conflicting info on them. I think once they bring out a bigger wattage unit then they'll be the way forward :) Plagron........if it's good enough for LA...nuff said! :thumb: All in all, a VERY good day me thinks. Have some reps from me :)

LOL lynx !!! HAHAHAHAHAHA !!! I've done most of my grows in there. It does 'pong' a bit but I've got my ways of keeping the smells at bay :)

The supports are no longer on them mate, it was just to keep them steady from the fan. To be honest I only planned to do it to the one that stretched (Kannabia Special) but thought I'd do another to get used to the technique. It's new to me I just made it up lol. So thanks anyway :)

Yeh I read up on the alga series of plagron and all in all seemed to be pretty much what I needed !

Thanks mate :)

Just had a read through this and thought it was brilliant mate. The little ladies are looking very fine indeed :)
Subbed and will be keeping an eye on this. I'm hoping to start my very own grow similar to this soon. Big ups man :goodjob:

That was a well organized & descriptive update Soda Pop. :welldone:

very nice, all your plants look happy but I wouldn't feed them for some time. that soil looks like it's providing them with tons of food.

how far away from that light did the position themselves? do you mind measuring?

Good day everyone, hope all is well and green !

Thank you Reg, glad to be of service :)

Hi b.real and thank you. I'm constantly keeping them about 2 inches away from the lights at all times. Checking them twice a day making sure none of them get too close. Usually when I wake up in the mornings they have grown about 1cm and rather than stretching they seem to be leaning towards the source of the light. So all in all things are alot better for them now.

I'm using the heavy duty garden wire to hang my light and it's super easy to adjust the height whenever I need to.

I'm now watering once every 2 days. I will begin to feed them in about 2 weeks or when I think the soil is lacking with the nutrients it already has in it. I shall begin to feed them with 2ml alga grow per 1 litre of distilled water (grow room temperature). As soon as they show signs of pre-flowering, I shall introduce them to their alga bloom supplement. Again with 2ml per 1 litre water.

Any suggestions on when I should up the dosage? They are both 2-5ml per litre strengths.

Thanks for the support guys. :thanks:

Even auto flowering plants? 5 gallon will be 20 litre pots?

I have never flowered an auto flower cannabis plant. I would not want to restrict the roots of a flowering cannabis plant to a smaller container then what its roots need.

5 gallons should be a 19 litre pot.

Well the Auto's seem happy in their new habitat so we'll see the outcome of using different sized pots :)

I'm hoping 10 litres will be enough for them considering I've done normal strands in 10 litre pots and most have been pretty impressive. So fingers crossed I guess.

Also, since I transplanted them, I don't think they stunted or stressed at all. They seem to be growing faster than before now too but I think that's the food in the soil. Greedy little buggers !

From what I've read the roots of an auto flowering plant don't fill out as much. Thus no need for pots over say 10 litres. No experience with it though lol
