Hey mate, the seed shell, cota...something can't remember anywho, the most stunted of my first lot of girls was because the seed coat wouldn't come unstuck and let both one of the seed leaves and also the start of the next leaf before it finally came off, but it stunted her growth compared to the others and made her lop sided.

In the end I kept it wet with a spray bottle, slowly tugging a little each time with tweezers, and I think keeping it moist was what finally did it...though come to think about it, naturally, the coat dries out which is how it detaches.....oh I don't know :scratchinghead:


I agree it's a poo poo head :)

Thank you Tassie.....i am very fortunate to have what i have.....sometimes i look back and say maybe i went overboard with some of this stuff, but at some point it all gets used so i am happy i have them but everything is definately not nescessary as many growers like yourself do jsut fine with the basics.....a lot of it was bought before i made it here and i was doing a lot of guessing.....so happy i found this forumn and alll you cool people out there:)

Ok so a mini update......my Blue Dream had a little tap root coming out after about 12 hours in the wet paper towel.....so she has been placed into an aerogarden plug and then into the aerogarden......she will stay there for a week or two until shes ready for the waterfarm:)
Oh....and also the auto Northern lights finished dry weight of 31 grams.....little over an ounce.....not exactly happy with the number, but for being abused and stunted i was surprised i got that much......there is not a pretty shaped bud in the lot......too much foxtailing went on, but it is frosty and sticky like crazy........

damn nice harvest there - ahhhhhh ur making my my last week take soooo long - I want some of my own smoke so bad!!

i have not grown from seed yet...... this will be my next adventure...... there are so many clinics around to get clones..........

Thank you B and Robert........man i wish i could go to a store and buy clones.....just so i can say that i went to a store and bought clones:)lol

Ok i took this pic for Mr Skunny but was so happy with what i seen i thought i would share....and for those of you that think you need a water chiller to keep the roots happy i say think about it before making your purchase....at least with dwc buckets...now of course my temps in the room average low 80s now.....res temp has to be in the mid to high 70s....i never checked the actual temp as there hasnt been a need to:)

Why thank you Welshy:).......i have it bottled up but open sitting next to me and whoever says that NL is not a smelly strain i beg to differ.......just that one bottle has the entire room smelling like fresh weed:).....it does have a different smell than previous strains but it is hard to pin point.....and i am trying to be good and not taste it for a week or two, but the smell is so intriguing ......its like she is calling.......come on baby....just a little taste never hurt anyone.....i wont tell a soul.........ahh crap....just noticed my bowl is empty......ok you talked me into it.......packing now.....let you know how it is in a little bit:)....dammmit.....i have no restraint:) or will power:)lol

1) the NL Auto you cleared an oz, thats very respectable for an auto that you abused.
2)The mods here are some of the best I've seen, and I think they'd shoot us a message if we were on thin ice, as opposed to the ban hammer
3) MrRobert, Growing straight from seed in my opinion, is a blast because of hybrid vigor and all of the different phenotypes that emerge.
4) Jesus That rootball looks like you've been storing ramen in there =p

1)....Thank you Jinn.....i am happy with it....could have been a lot worse and after smoking it....well i will get to that in a moment:)lol
2)....I dont know any except King John...well i think he is a mod.....but i woulld hope your right.....please give a warning:), but that being said i really think we keep it in bounds so that hopefully no one gets offended....not what its about......just cracking up with some like minded growers that like to take it off topic a little to keep it more interesting and its a blast reading most of it:)
3).....not enough experience to chime in on it so i will keep my mouth shut on this one:)lol
4)......you know that is a good description.....a big ass bowl of ramen:)LOL

Ok so for some thoughts on the boiling water method as opposed to regular flushing..........i chopped her on friday and she was ready for bottle today so 4 days to dry.....normally with a regular flush they take any where from 5 days to a week and a half in my experience........i packed a bowl a little while ago and the first hit went in very smooth, but when i have flushed properly the smoke was also very smooth.....i should digress....when i chopped her she was noticealby lighter than what i would have expected, but still had quite a bit of moisture as she went from 130 something to 31grams which is pretty close to the normal for me as in percentage of weight lost.....when looking at the roots they were a funky brown and had gone anerobic.....as in smelled like poo:)lol.....the trim and harvest went the samme as usual.......my opinion on the boiling water method for myself and with a dwc bucket is that it creates more work to maybe save a day or two on drying, but everything else is basically the same to me.....maybe i did something incorrect, but i think it is easier to do a regular flush and come out with the same tasty bud.....not taking anything away from those of you that use it and like it.....this is just my personal opinion and what i observed as oppose to the way i normally do it:)......i hope this is helpfull and if i missed something in particular that you would like to know.....you know where to find me:)lol
