Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - LED - Grow

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

Hiya Dirty Dreamz hope you are well. Awesome updates and sincere thanks for the public service announcements. You are doing your fellow colleagues a tremendous service :) Great pictures sir. Your setup looks really good and your plants look even better. Congrats and well done to their keeper! Especially love and am intrigued by your NL Auto - she looks fantastik! Forgive me for asking a question that is likely answerable in your journal (although I haven't been able to pin point it yet) but could you summarize for me the light cycle you implemented from start to now? I really appreciate it, and thank you for sharing. All the best to you sir!

:Namaste: :high-five:

Wish this place was around when I started growing, I learned by the fck it up real good method.

you and me both! My very first go around Im surprised I made it two weeks, miracle grow nutrient sticks, sand, and styrofoam cups, it's a little shameful thinking back on it.
I'm glad its here for the next generations though!

GD, happy skunkday buddy, your girls look gorgeous!

Welcome to my madness Colorfuldayze:):welcome: Thank you for the very kind words my friend and never apologize for asking me a question....no need.....i dont mind aswering at all as you would have to sift through a lot of BS to find what you want:lot-o-toke:The auto NL actually was stunted when she was about 2 1/2 weeks old as i didnt know she was an auto and was a bit abusive to her:)lol....so i am not sure how big she woud have gotten had i known and not messed around with her.....but the buddage is pretty even though very little of it:)
She started out in the veg room that i use the GLR(gas light routine)....which is 12hours on, 5.5 hours off, 1 hour on, 5.5 hours off and repeat.......keep in mind that is when i thought she was an auto......to make room in the veg room i moved her to the flower room not long after i realized she was an auto......flower room is standard 12/12.......been in there since and will start dark period tomorrow......i have 3 auto short ryders that i am trying 12/12 from seed in 1 gallon airpots to see how they do compared to one i did in a larger airpot and on an 18/6 light schedule.......if i was just growing autos then i personally would use 18/6 as i felt like there was more growth each day.....and that was under two 300watt top leds at the time.....the 3 autos in 12/12 now are under a 400watt marsll......maybe they will surprise me in the end but for right now imo i say 18/6 is better then the 12/12 i am using now:).....hope this answers your question.....if not i may be a little to stoned at the moment:)lol......anything else just ask and i shall answer to the best i can:):volcano-smiley:

Lmao.....the very first time i tried was in strofoam cups as well ...miracle grow too, but the timme release granules....bagseed and a 100 watt incandescent bulb with a reflector.......i had like 10 of them bad boys under that light.....they actually popped but never got any taller than maybe 2 inches.....pitifull.....put them in the sunlight thinking that was the only problem:)lol......yep....glad them days are gone.....

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

Yes sir......tracking says so:)......i still havent cleared a spot for it...lol.....if i end up doing the concentrate oil tomorrow with everything else that has stacked up its gonna be a long day:)....but should be productive....its been cool that i havent been able to make the oil yet as his father is still in the hospital for another couple days......plus he has cookies waiting on him too:)

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

I find that the days where everything is piled on, are often the most rewarding when you finish.
I hope those cookies, and your oil help him ease his pain.
I watched my great grandpa die of lung cancer, a WWII vet who made his jumps in Normandy. He was 6'1 200lbs, when it was over he was 97lbs... That man taught me everything I know about hunting, skinning, and farming; I would have given anything to have the knowledge then, that I do now.

Keep up the good work man.

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

I know what your feeling brother....i wish i had known for my father as well.....now i am just happy that i am able to help someone:)

On a brighter note....Lady Bud is the best wife ever.....always has been but tonight she just reminded me of how much i love this woman:)....so she asked me what i was going to use for lighting in the new tent and i told her the only lights i had extra were not really adequate for the tent.....i want to move the 400mars into the new tent but i would need another light to replace the mars....so she offered to go in with me on a new light and didn't flinch a bit..well maybe a tiny bit...but not much when i told her how much:)lol......i have decided on Advanced Leds XTE 300.......i like everything i am seeing with it, the shape suits my needs, the adjustablility, the price is definately higher than i paid for my mars 700 but not nearly as high as some of the other companies, it is a US based company and when i feel i need to i like to help support our economy:).....and something else that i really like is if i dont see a substantial difference between it and my mars then the folks at Advanced Led gives me or anybody 12 weeks to try it and if you dont like it then return it for a full refund.....i am pretty sure i would have to cover return shipping but not a bad deal to take it for a test run:)........so its ordered and hopefully tomorrow on the way:) crazy how things can get out of hand quickly.....first a tent, then exhaust and speed controller and now a light:)lol.....i can gaurantee you all one thing......it will be a good minute before we are making any more purchases for our girls.....but thats ok cause i got new toys comming and i dont have to wait till christmas:)lol

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

Hi Green. Thanks a lot for your summary of your light plan for the NLauto. That is an interesting journey/story for sure. I agree with you re: the 18/6. I am still trying to dial it in for my auto strain that I've been self seeding for about 7 generations. It is definitely finicky. I really confused my current plants with my light schedule changeups I gave them the first half of flowering and I finally gave in to gradual reductions from 18/6 to 12/12 the past 4 weeks. There is definitely a positive response, and considering that I about killed this crop at least 30 + times over by botching every single parameter about twice, I would have to say this is my most robust grow yet. Thanks again for your reply and info. I look forward to watching NL finish and how she harvests and smokes; as well as you future autos. All the best to you GD! Cheers

re: Green Dreamz - Multi-Strain - Multi-Media - Multi-LED - Grow

GD just putting it out there, I have found that autos do not like air pots. I have tried a few in air pots and each time they have stayed small and had crap yields. Hope this info helps a bit mate
