MSquared's - Indoor - Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Looking great bro! Your IDK1 has that awesome sheen I'm looking for! :thumb:

Yeah I know what you mean! The funny part is that I don't even know what strain it really is LOL. I know it is an indica, but that is about it so far. She sure is a beauty though! :thumb:
I like your idea of a bonsai mom journal, good luck with that and you can count me in if you decide to start one :thumb:

:peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Lookin great bud and I take it that you know for sure you got all ladies. I would hope that you wouldn't want to take a male that long and get him that big unless you plan to seed all and keep yourself supplied with beans

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

WOW! That's quite a crop you have there my friend! Very nice looking plants indeed! Hope that sick one pulls through! I had one myself last year and after a good flush and a transplant into a much bigger pot, she came back in about two weeks. :)

You got room for all those little ones when they get 4 feet tall? LOL! :partyboy:

:thankyou: for stopping by Toker! I have 3 Fem JHs in there and 2 Fem SSH, so I at least know that those 5 are females. I had taken snipits (clones) from each of the IDK1, IDK2 & RB2 and put them into the flower room for about 7 - 9 days a while back and two of them showed female and the other didn't show female, but didn't show male either which was RB2 (left side top in most of the photos). So if anything I will be shocked if any of them turn out male. Either way it will be an interesting switch to flower. :thumb: If it is a dude he will get chopped. I have no place for males in my garden, other than me LOL.

Thanks for stopping by & :peace:

Hey Thanks Goose! I am sure it will, I had a couple of others that fell ill and I transplanted them to my new high brix style soil and they perked up and starting growing really well again. :thumb:
I took 22 clones last night from 4 plants. They were from SSH2, IDK1, RB2 & JH3, they had a lot more to give, but I should be able to get at least a few moms from those clones. I will be flipping this weekend so it is a good thing my ceiling is tall, but I will have to watch them some, may have to tie a few down in a few places. So we shall see. They have another 4 days of MH goodness before I switch on the 1800 watts of HPS for them. I am really curious to see how these strains stretch at the beginning of flower as I have not grown all but one of them (RB). I know what she is going to do, but the rest I have no idea. :)

Thanks for stopping by and I will have a full pre flip update in the next couple of days :thumb:

I still have a bunch of transplanting to do on the 14 STs and I also dropped 20 more seeds, I know crazy huh? So I will be busy to say the least.

:peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Hi MS! Man I'm just watching the show. I think Goose is right, IDK2 will bounce back with a re-potting. More power to you Buddy....that's enough to keep 3 people busy! :high-five:

Thanks and it is so fun this time around. That is for sure! I think we are both having a really good time on our grows :high-five:
She is recovering wonderfully after her transplant into the high brix soil. Out of the 8 I have transplanted 5 into the new high brix soil and all of them are just loving it! I have transd an IDK, SSH, RB & (2) Jacks. So I think this is showing up to be a really BIG step in the right direction :thumb:
I have slightly amended my HB soil recipe since I posted it so I may post the new one later on.
The one thing I might do is pull the IDK2 out of the flower chamber to let her completely heal before flipping this weekend. The others will be rockin the buds soon enough.

:peace:

Understand that for sure but you have to admit that your own seed supply would benefit greatly.

Thanks and I hear you loud and clear. I have thought this over quite a bit and yes on one hand I would love to do that, but on the other is quite a bit of work that I don't want to take away to much time. If in fact IDK1 is a male I will probably keep him. If any of the others are male I will not. Honestly of the 3 I am not 100% sure of, I think that the only one that could be a male might be RB2. So we shall see in the next week how this unfolds.

Thanks for stopping by!

~ VEG info Update/Pics ~

So I was quite busy last night. I transplanted my new STs into some HB soil and 1/2g pots. I only did 9 of the 14. The others are looking quite sad, but they are still alive as of this morning. So that is a good sign. The remaining 5 were transd into new soil but same size container.

These are the 6 older seedlings to the left and the new 9 transd last night.

I have to feed the tea to all the plants tonight which I enjoy. I love feeding the micro herds! I think that about does it for is going here.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Hey everyone. All of veg had a good tea feeding last night and I think the micro herds really enjoyed it!
Tomorrow will be the last update for the 8 (possibly 7) in veg as they get flipped to flower this weekend.
I am going to photo each plant on its own and then compare as they go through their flower cycle. :thumb:
I am still unsure if I am going to flower IDK2 as it is still recovering, but currently in no shape to flower. So I think as of now that I am going to pull her out and let her continue to veg for a while longer (maybe 3 -4 weeks).

:thanks: and :peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Hey MS! Everything's looking great to me! :)

You might want to think about separating all those older plants that are clustered together. They are at the point that if they are too close to another plant, those sides in contact will STOP developing and you will end up with lopsided plants.

That's what happened to my four mother plants over the winter. I had no choice due to space constraints, and they remained as close as those in your photos. Any side with direct contact with another plant was noticably devoid of any significant growth. Just tiny little leaves that clustered around the main branches like fur, but nothing more.

When they get to be 3 feet tall or more, you need to give each plant at least 2-3 feet of space between it and the next plant. :)

That's what I was referring to in my previous question of whether you had the room to raise that huge crop of yours! :)

:thumb: Thanks for the heads up Goose! Truly appreciated the advice and I was looking at them last night and thinking the same thing :high-five:

In the current configuration I am running I have a 600w MH on the left, a 600w HPS in the middle and a 600w MH on the right. I was trying to keep them mostly under the MH bulbs, but now I will be switching this weekend to all HPS bulbs and be able to spread them throughout the whole room which should give them ample space to grow.

Thanks as always for stopping by! :peace:

Happy Friday :420: and TGIF! {warning} This is going to be a long update, but chocked full of info. {End warning}

~ Veg Update Pics/Info ~

Dim the lights and here we go... :) This is the last VEG update for the 8! As they finish their light cycle on Saturday around 11am (lights come on at 7pm tonight and shut off at 11am on Saturday) I will pull the proverbial plug and not have the lights come back on until 7pm Sunday night. I always like giving them more than 24hrs darkness before switching to flower if at all possible. This time around I can as they are the only ones in the flower room at the moment.

So I am going to focus on a few of the girls. First up we have JH3 (Jack Herrer). I also want to add that the 3 Jack seeds I had gotten were all freebies :thumb: You have got truly love a quality freebie! Hell if I knew beforehand how good these grow and what a quality genetic line these are I would have easily paid for them. All of the Jacks I have are growing out of the roof. I many have to tie down a few of these as we get into flower. I did not transplant JH3 into the HB soil (as I did with her sisters), but I did remove several cups of soil and add the azomite and the 6/5/3 rock powders into her soil and then put the soil I removed back on top of the powders. Ok enough of me gushy over these and on to the pics:

First up is a photo from 4/6 so 3 weeks ago. I could have easily flipped this plant to flower, but just look at the comparison of just that amount of time.

This is from this morning

Next up we have IDK2. I sure wish I knew what she is other than indica dominant, but we may find out soon enough. I will be watching her bud formation very closely, color size, bud to leaf ratio and what not. She is such a gorgeous plant, period. I also did not transplant her into the HB soil, but amended her soil the same as I did JH3. I do think that both of them really benefited from the amendments.
If you guys notice and I know that someone will she has one leaf that has some damage on it, it was from early on when I had her under cfls and a she grew up into them one day before I caught it. I just haven't removed it yet, its like a scar you get and each time you look at it, it reminds you of the event that took place. I want to leave this as a reminder of fast a HB plant can grow in a day. I will be staking her so I can manipulate her later on, but that will come in a week or two.

IDK2

Lastly is RB2, she had some issues early on and I transplanted her into the new HB soil. What a recovery she made and then some! I really love the resin bomb strain which funny enough was a freebie from a year ago. I just can't say it enough that had I known what her genetic line was and her growing style I would have easily paid for them. this time I topped and lstd her to create the bush that she is today. She of course is fully recovered now and looking better than ever.

Here is a pic of RB2 from 4/12

So that wraps up this update and I will have another update today covering clones and little veg. I am really digging this HB soil and I will explain more in the next update. As I have some comparisons to show regarding HB soil vs. what I was using before. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

I love me some sexy ladies to gaze at on Friday mornings. Looks like you about to see some very fine nugs develop and I can't wait to see the updates. Stay lifted and have a kick ass weekend. Peace

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Love the before and after pictures Buddy. What a difference.
Your information is top notch too! Totally interested in what and how you are doing things.
Your right up there with top growers on
:420:

I'll be looking for your next update! Don't have to say keep em green....You are! :bravo:

:thumb: Me to brother! I sure hope so, I mean most of these I haven't grown before and I haven't used this HB soil before, so we shall see. However based on the preliminary results so far I couldn't be happier or more excited for this flower cycle.
you have a great weekend yourself and stay positive!

:thanks: I have seen others do it on their journals and I loved it so much. Most of us on here see so many pictures of so many strains on so many journals that it is really nice to see the comparo pics together. Well that is my 2 cents on that.
I was actually surprised myself to see the comparison pics. I see them everyday and sometimes forget where they were to where they are now.
You are truly to kind! I just couldn't resist trying docs and vape's methods for high brix. It really is simple to boot. I make a tea every other week with the recipe that I came up with and in between I feed just water and organic blackstrap molasses. The soil recipe I have built is pretty simple as well and so far it is proving to be worth its weight in gold. I build 2 bins full and let them cook which lasts me quite a while. Then to change the mindset of not feeding the plants but feeding the microherd is a bit harder for me to wrap my head around at times, but I am getting there. Slowly but surely LOL :high-five:

Truly appreciate it OMM, I just hope at least 1 person is able to use just 1 thing from my grow or style I will be a happy camper! Have a great weekend and :peace: be with you and yours!

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

I have completed the big veg girls update so now it is time for the others.
What I want is to get at least 8 or 9 of these large enough to go into flower in a month. I am not sure if I will make it but I am sure going to try and armed with High Brix soil and a good environment I just might get there.

I have been adding seeds and clones to my mix in the hopes of finding 4 or so really great moms and to keep my perpetual going on a monthly rotation. It takes time to get there I know, but I am fastly approaching that goal. :thumb:

So here we have my veg bench. I have the oldest 6 which are 2 IDKs, 2 TBs, RB & VK and none of them are in the HB soil. I then transplanted 9 of the 14 STs (Strike Twos ~ thanks smokz for the name) in HB soil. I then have the 5 worst looking STs in HB soil, but in solo cups. I have 4 IDKs getting ready to pop out of the soil and 6 TMs (Tasty Meds, from some really good bag stuff a buddy had). I then have 22 clones. (7) of JH3, (7) of SSH2 (Critical Super Silver Haze), (4) IDK1 & (4) RB2. The clones are 4 days old and are looking really good. So I just may find a couple of moms out of those too.

2012-04-27_08-10-24_195.jpg

So here is the 6 oldest along with a few of the STs. This is the compare I was talking about from my last veg update. The 6 are about 5 weeks old and are doing well, but the 3 to right which I found outside on 4/20 :yahoo: are only 10 days old. The STs have been transd into my HB soil. You have can the difference for yourselves. Now I thought I had a great growing medium before using a supersoilesk type medium using mostly pro mix, but this new and less expensive HB soil is kickin its butt! I am going to transplant the 6 this weekend into the HB soil.

2012-04-27_08-10-36_645.jpg

This is a middle shot of the bench where the other 6 of the STs are. They all look really healthy and I really didn't give more than 3 of them a chance when I first found them, but they have certainly proven me wrong. LOL :)

2012-04-27_08-10-45_16.jpg

Lastly here are the last 5 of the 14 STs when I transd them into the HB soil I didn't give any of them a chance... Dumb Dumb Dumb. I guess I am really beginning to see the HB soil do its magic. 2 of the 5 look great. The cups at the top have HB soil and TM seeds in them. I wanted to see if there were any negative effects to germ seeds in the HB soil. We shall see. At the bottom there are 4 cups with IDKs in them. The same seeds that grew my beautiful IDK1 that is in the flower room. So I can only hope to get that pheno one more time.

The Clone Section:
I have already written what is in there above so this is the dome unit I got. I decided to upgrade my cloning equipment this time. I wanted a high dome with vent and a seedling heat mat. This one is 7 inches tall and has 3 vents. I taped the 2 end ones shut and I just use the large top one to vent excess humidity. I also bought for I think $9 at the HD was a self-watering tray. I thought maybe this will take the guess work out of keeping the soil at just the right moisture content. If it works I am going to get the larger 72 space one. I bought the 36 slot one for starters. It comes with 5 pieces. The bottom tray that holds the water. A platform to sit in the water. A water mat that folds over the platform. The 36 space tray that has a hole for each of the 36 spots and a short dome which I do not use. I take the bigger 1020 tray that came with the dome and heat mat (that’s 10 x 20 inches) and put the heat mat in it and then put the self-watering unit on top of the heat mat so the mat can warm the water that is absorbed by my clones.

For some reason I have been very wordy today and I apologize for that. I just have a lot I wanted to get into the journal.
I hope everyone has a great :420: weekend and :peace: be with you all.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Damn M,

you have some grow goin on the brother! Very nice looking plants and ALL of them look very very healthy.
Wish my plants in soil looked that good. I just don't understand soil. I guess I need to get a learning!

:thankyou: A1! They are all doing well. I just flipped this cycle over to flower this weekend, so it is going to get pretty exciting.
There are plenty of journals that go into such great detail on here and provide a great avenue for learning. I am sure you will find a sytle that suits your needs and growing style :thumb:
Nice to see you stop by and thanks again.

:peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Alright :420: Here is a little pre flower update for everyone.

So this weekend I transitioned them to flower. Saturday am the lights went out and I did not turn them on until Sunday at 7pm.
I think they all grew during their rest period. I did end up taking out IDK2, I was in no rush to flower her so she went out into the veg area.

So here they are as of this morning.
A group shot of the left side with an SSH, RB, JH and a couple of others.

A group shot of the right side with an IDK, JH, these are both pretty big and take up their own 600.

I will have more pics in a few days as they start to flower, I am hoping they show in the next few days. They were ready and some of them started pre flowering while in veg.

Thanks everyone and have a great day!
