Mr Teddy's Greek Indoor Grow - Indicas - Soil - LEDs

Love your updates! Must admit they dont look too different between the before and after - but they do look really healthy :peace:

:thanks: nhteatime. Still got to get used to defoliating. :)

:laughtwo: "I really did!" :laughtwo:

Well lets hope a little goes a long way haha. I do see that you helped expose a few mid/upper nodes, but the defol is more for the benefit of the low,low ones. Oh well, I applaud the effort hahaha. I don't blame you not wanting to bother the leaves too much, they're gorgeous :) do you ever keep some leaves in a cup of water? Whenever I remove big beautiful fans I do, sometimes they keep their vibrance for 4-5 weeks, lmao we eat with pot leaves on our dining room table. Christmas in Colorado! :laughtwo:

Doing it fully is my next step in the programme. :) Happy Christmas!

defoliation decreases yield so you should be careful. it's a good technique to prevent mold from colonizing and to limit the stretch/overall size of your plants.

bollix ...for me it increases yield, if done right. More light to the right places.

Lol lol lol..... There's things in life that are certain, death and taxes.... Then there's things your not allowed to talk about, religion politics and defoliation, lol...

I'd welcome a discussion on defoliation. Please feel free to thrash it out here. But right now it's late on Christmas Eve so I'm with Grizz. ;)

Have a wonderful happy Christmas Mr & Mr Teddy :thanks:

Hullo Playmates. :ciao:

Thank you so much for your good wishes and kind comments. If I haven't got to your journal to say Happy Christmas please forgive me. I'm feeling a little shall we say fuzzy today after a rollicking Christmas day with our friends who own the local hotel. The rooms are full - good news for them in these difficult economic days here and their car park (patch of scrub) and the village is full of wealthy Athenians' huge 4x4s.

So a couple of hours ago I took a look at the three girls beginning their second day in the flowering cycle. Would you like to see? Stretchy stretchy.

Everyone looks fit and well. And I'm still taking off the odd leaf where it's shading a bud site. I love these girls. Mrs Teddy now refers to the tent as Cambodia.

Thanks for dropping by. Pip Pip with a paper hat on the side of my head and a hair of the dog in my hand.....

Oh and Merry Christmas :laughtwo: sorry for the delay

Good morning daTenshi. :circle-of-love: Thanks for the support. :thanks: Hope you're having a good Christmas.

Yes, they are looking fine as far as I can tell. Really pushing up now. I'm having some minor issues with temp and humidity - the former is proving a little difficult to keep constant, fluctuating from 20 to 29C (68 - 84F) and the humidity in this beautiful, dry, cold, sunny weather is right down into the low 20s at times, despite as many bowls of water and damp towels as I can fit in the tent. :) All I can do is regular monitoring - but that's a pleasure and I read that a lower humidity is good for flowering so I'm pleased to have switched. I'm looking forward to getting some more interesting photos over the next few weeks. I keep checking for those pre-flowers and, when I spot them, 420 will be the first to know. :laughtwo:
:cheer:

Good day Mr Teddy :ciao:

Loved the updates ,, New year soon :partyboy:Have a great day my Teddy friend:circle-of-love:

And Good Day to you too, friend jaga. *raises top hat in greeting* Didn't someone on OMM's thread advise you to clean your ball? :cheesygrinsmiley: (oo, er, misses) Glad to have you fully back. About time for an update from you, eh?

Yes, another year flown by. In May 2015 Mrs Teddy and I will have been married 15 years. It's incredible. Especially since everyone at our wedding secretly said we wouldn't last. And every couple that were there are now divorced (except for my gay mate Tom, who is still with his partner). Ha! We showed 'em.

All the very, very to you, jaga, as always.:circle-of-love:

.....

Watering this afternoon at lights on. Maybe I'll take some snaps of Saint Harlambros' spring where I get the water from for those of you that didn't see it on my outdoor journal. I think we could do with some refreshing outdoor pictures. Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday. :circle-of-love:

Well I guess I should stop looking then... She's already spoken for :)

FLOWERING - DAY 4. DO YOU SEE PISTILS?

An afternoon spent watering. I get my water from the spring of St. Haralambros which is at the bottom of our drive. It's regarded as the water of life here in the village because he lived for 600-700 years, (who's counting at that age?), was horribly tortured by the Turks and the Romans but only gave up the ghost when God spoke from the Heavens and said "Your soul belongs to me." He lived right on this spot from where I'm writing. I took my 2 35 litre containers down - with my leaky leather bucket I get through four of these for the three girls - and one at a time I wheel them back up the 100 yard hill. The things we do for our babies, eh? Here is the spring:

I had a bit of a shock last night. When I checked on them just before lights out last night at 1am, MasterKush was wilting badly. She was nearest the heater (not directly on her of course) and that combined with the low humidity I'm struggling with I think did the damage. I immediately gave her a quick water (tap - I love 'em but I'm not going to the spring in the freezing night) and a water spritz and today she had recovered completely.

So this afternoon each was dunked for 15 minutes in spring water then watered gently from the top and finally - because I'm seeing a little cal/mag deficiency in a few leaves - given a teaspoon per gallon of my Cal/Mag crystals. I was going to start them on the Grow/Bloom nutes, but I don't want to overdo the extras so that can wait for next time. They'll get the magic kelp spray just before lights out tonight which will help them take up the nutrients.

I think I'm seeing early pre-flowers. Or is that just wistful of me?

Here's Blueberry, smelling super, looking dandy:

And MasterKush, quite recovered and quite pungent:

And Mazar, the least successful in training. She just wants to go one way. But it's actually made it easier to get all three fully under the Platinum P450 LED.
