Mr Am4zin's Attempt At Fluxing A Monster - And A Few Side Projects

I'm impressed as hell Mr Am4zin!!! I'm so sorry I've been such a stranger here, but you've no lack of companions. Brilliant work on her. I'm not sure I could survive the early stages but you're making it tempting for a future run. If I could I'd buy that fan you need.

I can't wait to see her burst into bloom. Interesting that you'll be using GLR for a week. Did you learn this somewhere else? Is there an advantage to stopping at one week? My plan is to run my Carnivals all the way through with GLR.

............. Forgot :hugs:  :hugs:

Your gonna be fine on vertical space I can assure ya! The width and length lol??? Remember your going to start opening her up some as we go through the first part of flower. All that's needed is the tethers get placed higher up the outer ring of cola sites then with a tie back down to the pot rim it levers out the outer circle giving more room per site and better light pen!
If she starts to become a problem to fit in, you just untie at night and she will just close up a touch for the fit! :)

Hi Sue :hugs:  :hugs:

Good to see you pop in, the early stages of this were quite slow and painstaking but nothing compared to waiting for her to get some vertical growth. It just seems to take ages. This is what got me reading about GLR and how growth has been described as explosive and how it charges the plant with flowering hormones. Knowing I only had a week or so before flower, As soon as I read that I switched her over. I'm going to use GLR on my next big project also as growth rates are somewhat quicker.
I got the fan I needed, just need the dehumidifiers now, they are cheap tho, just need to get to the store.

Thanks for coming by :circle-of-love:

See now I wanna flip her now. She is almost maxed out on width already, I have the fan and filter hanging in the back that takes away 6 inch of hight at the back. Spreading her out more is not an option.

Stick around folks it's gonna be a blast from here on in :)

I thought I remembered reading waaaay back in my recent past that the dehumidifying packs were problematic for grow spaces, but it had to do with transferring the smell, if memory serves. If this is what you're talking about, can you get them without scent? If she does half the potential she appears to have you might want to find a way to take this technique perpetual. With some careful planning that should be easier than it sounds. You barely need vertical space until flower. With CFLs you could get the light right down on top of the plants. Hmmmm......

This is really fascinating and shame on me for not paying better attention up to now. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Yes these are the packs I'm referring to, I can get them unscented from my local supermarket. I read about the smelly ones being an issue but I ran these last time I had issues without any problems.
Another space to go Perpetual is also a non starter for me. Mrs A is already on my case about the electricity bill. She got a comparison from last year to this and my new Mars Hydro light showed quite an increase over my last one. :passitleft:

A cardboard box and 2 low powered CFLs and your perpetual lol.

This is the whole point of a flux :) it ain't quick, yet in small spaces is hard to beat on yield. So I don't think of em as a normal plant. Just a cpl of CFLs and your entire veg is sorted. So they're a bonus plant to me, whenever my usual cycle permits I've a monster to chuck into flower! :)

If 2 x CFLs is still to much juice, then holla at me as I've got one of the BM quantum dot propagation lights you could borrow. Only like 7 watts or something and in a small space just to veg a flux no problem!

:laughtwo: When I came back from that two months in Phoenix and started the grow up my next bill came with a note that I'd exceeded my neighbors' usage by a significant amount. Lol!

Still cheaper than crappy street drugs.

Nah lol just checked the last pics and your fine! Its the middle that comes out the most and you've room to spread her some as she's on the diagonal :) so chill my friend :)

ok I chilled a little, an evening out celebrating mothers birthday helped

I may just take you up on that offer my friend, let me run it past the war department first

Haha yes it is cheaper but I don't do crappy street, my guy grows his own quality meds for himself and I'm the only one lucky enough to get in on his action.

This is beginning to sound like one of those sit-com plots where keep trying to fit one more thing in the closet until it explodes!

Mr. A, make sure you get video of that when it happens! :cheertwo::laughtwo:

Your girl is a biggun. Short and fat, just like I like em.

I see you will be tackling the stretch like I have to. I wish you nothing but huge buds my man.

Cheers

Yes she is. Im just gonna arrive at stretch and see where I end up. No plans in place just a couple of ideas. :thumb:

I'll be sure to get a video, I've been playing with the idea of video updates for a while but never managed to make one yet.

Looking at your space I'd be praying for good stretch! I'm greedy though :) every bit of vert counts and with you charging the girl via GLR I'd be thinking you'll get less than wanted? Well less than I'd want perhaps :)
I've not run GLR, all other sorts of time manipulations, just not that one so I could be wrong lol. :)

Growth under GLR has been good this week, appears to be quicker than 18/6 but it has been just 6 days. I'm gonna do another run at some point using just the GLR so u can compare the two. I do want a good stretch, just not too good, I like to leave a little room between tops and lights. Mars recommend 12 inches but that has never happened, I've noticed with some strains the buds close to light can be a bit airy and lower buds were a little more dense.

Great stuff Mr. Am4zing!
I had to subscribe to this, since I am back here and slurping all the info I can. I like the idea of flux, it is interesting to watch it take shape. Good luck, looks great so far! :thumb:

Welcome back Tomula, it's good to see you around again. It's been a good ride so far and I'm now looking to the finish line. Stick around, it's gonna get busy in here. :passitleft:

Thanks man, I sure will :) I have some manifolding (WW/AK again) started with my friend under the 300w LEDs from the start, in soil 10 gal pot full of awesome compost, without re-potting. It has 8 tops now, after just 3 weeks, I cut it first after 6 nodes at the 3rd one, making clone and not putting it into humid place, then one node apart after 3 grew up, again screwing the clones (lesson learned :D ). The progress it makes is incomparable to the first one under cheap T5. Like 2-3 times faster, simply amazing. We will put few worms into the pot soon. My plan is to make super bush from it. Should I make new journal or should I resurrect the old one? I only have 2 photos, but decent ones. I want to share the excitement. Hopefully tomorrow, so hyped now man!
