Mr Am4zin's Attempt At Fluxing A Monster - And A Few Side Projects

OK so with the defol firstly your wanting to build them colas from the bottom up! So the very lowest set of leaves on each site get left alone. This obviously gives a a base platform of foliage to drive lower sites!
Then for the rest its quite simple, if the node is developed enough to have its own growing tip and that's got enough leafage to drive it's own development, then the corresponding fan leaf can be removed.
I start at one end and generally take one fan per node alternating from one side to the other, down each site. I remove slightly more foliage towards the tops of sites to clear a path to that bottom layer of fans! Also on the two dominant ends, I always clear a touch more than the other limbs. This keeps a bit more balance! Then I also remove all leaves that sit pointing back into the heart of the plant and leave the outer lower ring of fans all pointing away from the heart.

Hope that makes sense! Also from experience, don't leave any small stump from the fan leaves removal. This if left will dieslowly and invite mould into your colas later on! :)

I was curious about this also. I'm just glad Am4zin is 10 days in front of us so I can learn here first. Awesome. :thanks:

LA

That make sense to me, I went ahead last night and cleared a few, I went with the theory of "if it's blocking light to lower areas and had enough growth to support itself, it comes off" so I wasn't far wrong. Thanks for your input buddy and congrats again on NoTM win.

Full of good info that man :passitleft:

Ohioboy

Im gonna pick up the ones you don't plug in, Mrs A is already on the war path with regards to the electricity bill. 2 of those and I should be golden.

Nismo12

She has shot up half inch or so since Sunday and her fluid intake appears to have increased also. She was fed on Saturday and is nearly dry already. Happy to be your measuring stick my friend. :passitleft:

Howdy brother Mr A ya know I was just fondling my girls and I had a moment.... To my right I'm looking at my pretenda flux experiment that's still in veg and doing well and on my left is a photo bubblegum that is getting flushed for harvest that I had fim'd and at that moment I saw it. The fim cuts I did was a flux cut. Now I went back through your journal to look at how your shaky big hands cut that little node growth to form your manifold and it all came together. In fim'ing your actually doing an uncontrolled flux if the fim cut is correct. My camera is fuzzy it's broke but

i know u can't c right? Idk maybe u can a little. But what I'm getting at is I think if you top the plant first and get that "y" for 3-4 nodes then flux. You would yes have more height so it would take up more room but you would have 2 manifolds instead of 1. It wouldn't add much more time all though it would add some but I bet it would increase yield.
