OK I'd adjust your canes and just use them like I did in my last monster. I had em through the cloth pot at dirt level and wider apart. There's a cpl of reasons for this. If you set them apart now and use garden wire to train each limb to them, then you've got total control and can lower or heighten an individual limb as required This as said is how we control growth rates of a flux, using the plants own system that recognises the higher points as dominant etc. So at the moment you don't have much control and will have to keep adjusting the canes instead of each limb. Also the canes like that will hinder your flux ends turning up to the light for best fit for tip opening!
As for stripping secondary limbs yep just the growing tip is left alone! Again if one limb is longer then lower it and remove more foliage than the others and vice versa!

I will top no more than 3 times as this is required for a flux. If I was to leave 18 inches for my lights I'd only have 2" to grow plants in. My box is 30" total height. Pot is about 10". I regularly run plants within a couple of inches of the lights. The joys of growing in a tiny space

Each limb now has its own tie down, all fully adjustable and independent. (Must buy some more rubber coated training wire)

Autos are doing well both at Day 26 and both thirsty and a little droopy.

Cheers buddy. No plans for auto watering, I'll be doing it all by hand, probably 3 times a day as she gets older.

At first I thought there were stems and stalk everywhere. The green wire threw me off. I just smoked a couple of bowls too so it could be that. It is just so fascinating that we can manipulate nature the way we do. Can't wait to see what kind of monster you can make.
