Mouser's Perpetual Grow

My EWC, perlite and coco blend is a pain in my butt. If my pH is not on point at all times my plants show calcium and magnesium deficiency in hours. I'll go to bed and they'll be fine. I wake up and they're complaining. They eat calcium and magnesium like an unsupervised kid would eat candy. I also can't seem to let the pots dry out as much as others in peat/soil mixes do or the growth slows noticeably and the plants complain. Even with additional amendments the soil is definitely not feeding my plants the way I see peat soils work for others. They need fed additional nute teas and such with every watering. I've never had so many issues so early on as I've had with this coco mix. It is a finicky beast, and I don't think it's for me. I sure hope it works better for you.

So far its doing...ok? My plants are smaller than I would like, but the end result is tasty. With so many different strains going I have to feed them individually anyway, and using coco with LEDs I use calmag every water.

Are you seeing any of these problems? Maybe it's just me with issues. :loopy: :laughtwo: I'm sorry I don't remember, what nutes are you using?

Im using both Alaskan fish stuff, and the AN Sensi bloom line. If the plant needs a small nudge I go with organic, if it looks like more drastic measures are needed I go with AN. Both feeds get CalMagand Liquid Karma added. LK is sort of a miracle food...so far its the one nute Ive used that I will swear by. It can fix most issues all by itself.

Subbed in mouser, all caught up, looking awesome :)
just realized its 4am lol oops

Wecome Feral :) Grab one of the beanbags in the corner and take a nap. Dont mind the cat, he doesnt bite...usually. :)

I really wanted a natural organic grow, but... *Eyeballs the GH Flora nutes* It sure would be easier...

I'm gonna have to think on this.

I just got back from your journal because I couldnt remember any plants that looked like they needed a kick in the ass. They are gorgeous! In all honesty, Im only using the chems because I have them. Im nealy certain I could do as well or even maybe better using only the Fish stuff I got at Wally World. I think they have a Kelp one too.

I checked the able on the Liquid Karma, and its based on fish, kelp, and sea bird guano. Using that, the Alaskan Fish Emulsion, and Alaskan More Boom Im pretty sure you could stay organic and have happy plants

Thank you. I try to watch them very closely and address the issues quick before they get out of control. That said, the camera hides little things. Just because you don't see it well in the pics, trust me, a battle rages on! I'm winning for the moment, but we're duking it out on a regular basis.

In my first ever grow many years ago I had a significantly easier time with Miracle Gro soil and cheap liquid nutes than I'm having with this better made coir soil mix. The blame is not on organic, I truly believe it's on the coir. If I could rewind, I'd use peat instead of coir for organic. No question. That coir just doesn't want to play the organic soil game as well. Maybe it's hindering microbial growth or something, because coir obviously works in bottled nute setups and organic obviously works with peat soil mixes. I don't know.

Regarding sleep times...What's important is that the cat is sleeping well. It's all about him...lol.

Mini harvest UPDATE

Hello everyone. Ive been seeing some stellar plants as I browse the threads. Some excellent work being done out there! :thumb:

Today, after sleeping off all the turkey I ate yesterday, I took down Cross-Eyed Mary, The AK47 reveg clone. Only 6 weeks in the flower tent, but she was done. Wasnt really drinking and minimal new pistle formation. She may net me 17g or so. Not really disappointed, she had been intended as a mother and just never came around. She's frosty and a pretty decent smoke...or at least her mother was.

I also took the Panama out for a looksie. Id love some opinions here. I think I can push her at least another week. The buds are starting to foxtail a bit, but they are hard as rocks.

Cool, thanks Griz. I'll head on over to take a look. :)

Hey. I haven't read back here yet- but you're mistaken Grizz I haven't harvested my Panama yet. She's still in veg. Another day or two and I'll be able to take some clone cuttings off of her - then I'll be looking for (imaginary) space in flowering.
Anyway- I'm sure I won't be able to help much. I'll read back in a while though- just have my hands full right now.

Oh whoops... got the golden Tigre and Panama mixed up I think.. Well at least you have a Panama, so I'm not a total stoner :rofl:l

Pretty close mate :thumb:

Without knowing any details cause I'm too busy and lazy to read back- but just to glance at it- I'd leave it up to another week on water only and try to get the leaves to yellow up a bit more.
The problem is - that what I always say. It just feels right to me when I see the plant look colorful like a tree in the fall. The bud gets extremely ripe and sticky and smelly. I know what succulent ripe fruit looks like and this is what I aim for in bud. To me this seems like the time to harvest- even though most people harvest earlier.

How long has your Panama been in flower? Mine finished in about 9 weeks of 10.5/13.5. I have to ask.. What does she smell like?

Agreed it can probably go a bit longer. Looking good!

Welcome Spitz, thanks for taking a look. She is 10 weeks today. She smells like lemon ceaner...like a Mr Clean stink.

Thanks Weaselcracker. Thats pretty much what I was thinking. Her leaves are getting crispy
, and as far as i can tell, trichomes are stil pretty mush clear. I'll give her a good bath today and keep an eye on her this week
