Mini Harvest Update​

Hello all. Sorry Ive been lax with updates lately. Pre-holiday time it always a bit busier at work and with life in general. Still no full update, plants are looking good and Im playing with TOAST's cloning technique. :thumb:

Blueberry and ICE got chopped, so that leaves me with Panama, Harlequin, and Royal Medic in 5s, Shark Shock CBD in a 3, and Quick One and Cross-eyed Mary in the 2.5g air pots...In the flower tent. I will try to get pics of all tomorrow after dropping off the boy.

In the mean time, we have pre-harvest pics of the BLUEBERRY





And the ICE

Nice chunky buds mate
 
Dry weight for the Blueberry was 31g Not too bad considering how stunted she was. The smell is straight up blueberry though. Its a very mellow stone, with heavy eyes and a silly grin. Taste is very mild...demon drags with no cough at all. Not sure how long it lasts, since I always sleep before bed. Nothing over the top, but I think her clones will be better.

LOL I just noticed that reading back through :D smoke, not sleep :) Though in all honesty I can sleep anywhere at any time. Makes those mandatory meetings at work go by faster...unless they ask me direct questions...that can get awkward :)

LOL. My husband is like that. I swear we kiss goodnight, roll over, and before I even have my sleep cap adjusted he'll be sawing logs. I have no idea how something like this is done. First, my environment has to be perfect. Perfect darkness. Perfect white noise. Perfect temperature. Then it still takes anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour on a good night to fall asleep. Apparently, my sleep switch is broken. I'm so jealous. :sleep:
 
It does come in handy...on the other hand, I cant sleep for more than 4 hours at a shot..usually. I wake up at 1am EVERY day...even weekends. One day I would love to get a full, uninterrupted 8 hours of dream time :)
 
I can't imagine anything more than 4 uninterupted hours..... Getting up early for work over the years has the body adjusted. I haven't had an alarm clock coming up to 20 years. I got sick of waking up 10 minutes before it and hearing that sound... I can barely watch a movie anymore.. Half hour in and I'll just rest my eyes, lol..

Hey man, the buds are looking great! Congratulations! Lil bit on the leafy side but nice colors nevertheless. Very good! I did my harvest too! As for your waking up at 1am. This can be your liver speaking to you. It's body's way of communication and should not be overlooked. I wish you best of luck and happy growing! :Love: :Namaste:

Thanks Tom :) Since Im not a huge drinker, I would prefer it if my damn liver shut the fu*k up until a reasonable hour....dammit!

Im going to take a couple more from her when I do my clone run this week...looking for 3 from Carnival, 2 from Blueberry, and 2 from that Panama. Two of the Carnivals and the Blueberries are going to a friend. The Carnival is for me, and the Panama are being taken for another friend who hasnt asked yet, but will. I also need to slow down the veg closet. Blue Venom is a focus for the flower tent next, and Id like to throw in a Carnival...but not until I have a decent clone.

Current feeding schedule for the brood alternates between Alaskan Fish emulsion (10m/g) with More Bloom 10m/g and AN Sensi nutes 5ml/g. Both feeds include 3ml/g CalMag and 10ml/g Liquid Karma.

I read that using the fishy stuff late into flower will effect taste. So far I have not experienced this at all. I think the extra N helps through flower. Tom thinks they are a bit leafy...maybe. Im sorta on the edge between organic and hydro. Trying to blend the 2 together using a soil/coco mix.
 
Todays project will be to hang a few low wattage UVB bulbs in the flower tent to see if I can give trichome production a kick in the ass...my buds have frost, but not the crustiness I see elsewhere. With the heat of summer behind me, I think the added light wont raise temps too much. Looking to add 4 23w UVB CFLs, and Im planning to move them around every day.... Its all an adventure :D

My EWC, perlite and coco blend is a pain in my butt. If my pH is not on point at all times my plants show calcium and magnesium deficiency in hours. I'll go to bed and they'll be fine. I wake up and they're complaining. They eat calcium and magnesium like an unsupervised kid would eat candy. I also can't seem to let the pots dry out as much as others in peat/soil mixes do or the growth slows noticeably and the plants complain. Even with additional amendments the soil is definitely not feeding my plants the way I see peat soils work for others. They need fed additional nute teas and such with every watering. I've never had so many issues so early on as I've had with this coco mix. It is a finicky beast, and I don't think it's for me. I sure hope it works better for you.
