Morda Grows Blacken Blueberry Rose With The ZE250 Sponsored By ParfactWorks

Sometimes when I'm stressed I go out on the deck, smoke a doob and relax. It just washes the stress away.
Yup - same here … a walk out onto the pier, listen to the waves gently lapping the beach … a few deep breaths and then I can refocus!

This place has been in our family for years. I have been coming here since I was 10 years old. My great Uncle bought a huge plat of land and had cabins along most of this side of the bays shore line back in 1948. It has been a place of joy for me for a long time.

Right off my dock opening day of Bass season. They say a pic is worth 1000 words. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sticky traps brother , let's see if we can catch a few and be 100% on what critters are lurking , but other wise I would say she looks awesome
Yeah I need to get some. I see them having more use indoors than out, it is why I don't have any yet. Outdoors they just catch everything. LOL

Very nice! :D
My buddy and I are going to start doing tournaments next year for fun. We tried a couple out this year but we didn’t do too well. But I still grabbed a few good ones throughout the year.

How’s the bass fishing on that lake?
I can’t help it. I see water and my brain goes to fishing.
We also have bluegill, Northern pike, Perch, Small Mouth, Croupy, Sunfish. Wish we had Walleye but nope.

Very nice! :D

We used have tounry's on this lake back a few years ago. The lake is getting fished out though. Sad but, that is what happens with a public access. My favorite time is at night, nothing like having a Big Bass tail walk in the moon light!

That’s super sad. I have a lake near by that’s like that. Used to have huge bass and walleye, but all we can get out of there now are little pound bass and pike. So much pike.

Very nice. :D I pike fish quite a bit too.
We used to live up in Minnesota, That was some pike and walleye fishing there! We stopped keeping anything less than 36" LOL Our bay is one of the best for Bass and Pike. I use a Jitter bug mostly and for Pike a Gold Rappela. I have seen big pike come out of this lake. In MN a red and white spoon would be all you needed for pike.

Yeah it is sad... It has started to pick up some in the last couple years. It is a party lake and we had a JetSki problems. Back when there was a gas pump you could boat to, to fill up, you couldn't even pull a tuber without some JA riding the wake behind the boat. It was scarry. after weekend you see the gas film on the lake too. the bottom was getting gray and mucky, Crayfish were gone, frogs were gone... Since the pump was removed the amount of Jet ski's dropped. The lake bottom is looking normal, crawfish are back and so are the frogs.

My father swore by the red and white Daredevil spoons. I still have a couple of his I’m afraid to fish with because I don’t want to lose them.
For pike I’ve had the best luck using a white and chartreuse chatterbait. The pike around here just go nuts for it.
And it’s good that the lake is on the mend. Ecosystems are hard to rebuild.

We have the eurasian milfoil we are fighting now though. That is some nasty stuff, I'm supper grateful there are no zebra snails. MI lakes are getting bad and we need to work better at preserving them.

I have a a mess of them Daredevil spoons. I have tried them here and they are useless in this lake. I too would save them too if they are sentimental. Funny how lakes differ even in the same state and what fish like. Reminds though, back in my youth some friends had a spot on a lake in Racine WI, they were pike fishing and were getting one here one there. They had some wired rig they were using.... I used for a bit and got zip... I asked if anyone had a red an white... a few chuckles later one guy said yeah but it won't work. I said ok but can I use it... he chuckled and said sure... after about 20min they all had one on catching a fish on every cast. I got the last chuckle that day.

Yeah it’s for sentimental reasons. A lot of his stuff got picked through when he passed away. A lot of things that were supposed to mine “vanished into thin air”.
Ma didn’t want a fight between siblings so I let it slide for the most part. Oh well.

That’s how it is sometimes. I’ve had days where I couldn’t catch anything unless I was using a black ribbon tail worm with red flake. Just slowly swimming it across the grass…
Last time I went fishing with my cousin and her husband he made fun of me for using “old people baits”… until the third or fourth fish I brought in. Then he was suddenly cool enough for it.
I’m not even old yet.:lot-o-toke:

I know what you mean, Sorry about your loss I know how that goes. My older brother an I fought 3 years in court over this place. He wanted to sell it, I wanted to buy it but I couldn't have it. Finally the Judge looked at him and said basically "You did not give me what I asked for, settle it today or you are going to jail." The court went into resess and I got the certified check and it was over. It is sad how some people act with a little power... He was the exsecutor of the estate. Just goes to their head. Been here now 14 years and have loved every minute of it.

It’s crazy indeed. My buddy just went through that, his dad passed from a heart attack. Bud was supposed to get the house and the property(he is the baby of the family and the other brothers started families and owned their own houses already), and all of the other assets were supposed to be split between him and the older brothers.

Older brothers wanted to sell the house and split the cash. Bickering, fighting and a few police officers later they settled.

The house ended up getting sold I’m pretty sure, but we haven’t talked in a while so I’m not sure.

Also, I apologize for hijacking your journal. :passitleft:

No worries I'll get back on track with my next update. LOL

Yeah family can get squirrely after a death, seems to happen a lot. Even with all the precautions my Mom had it still went sidways. Sad to hear about your friend I hope he was able to get past it and move on. My brother and I still don't speak. It was all fault after all... LOL

Well Mamma's not happy, got the power bill and it went up $50 this month. The only addition is the @ParfactWorks ZE250 Grow light. It does give us an idea of the cost to run. Not sure how much of that is just the rise in cost for power though. We knew it would add to the bill, just wasn't sure how much.
Having said that, I will have to figure out the cost of the full grow. We want to figure out what the cost will be over time for the total yield. I personally think it will still be lower than the cost of buying from a dispensary. When you compare the cost of running this light compared to other ways of lighting, it still cost a lot less to run the LED lighting. The light is running on a 17/7 at the moment. I'm curious how much that will drop when I go 12/12.

How does this compare to others of you running LEDs for cost of running... Low High? I have not ever run one so I'm also curious how this light compares to other LED lights.
