Monster Cropped Strawberry Banana

I'll get back to led as soon as possible, I'll need 4 HPS to start though. HPS is a lot cheaper than led.
Ah. Gotcha. I was thinking you had issue with Quantum boards... I had never heard of that and wanted to hear more. I'm sure it's all over your thread, but what are you gonna do with all those lights?

I'll probably give away the HPS eventually
Seems like used ones are super cheap on craigslist. Mine has a XXL reflector, its double ended with 2 lamps I dont think I'd get $100 for it.

I have been doing research on my timer issue. Turns out the $7 timer I was using should never be used on a ballasted light... MH, HPS, even a 315watt CMH can cause issues with a cheap timer. Apparently, that's what chooched my timer. I'm a LED guy at heart and never had issues with them because there are no ballasts. This is my 3rd season with my double ended MH/HPS. My light fixture will run as high as 1100 watts. I was told the timer just wore out, and I was very lucky it didnt burn up. Jesus Christ! I guess I dodged a bullet. I ended up buying a Titan Apollo 4. It's a single light timer but made for ballasts. I got it from BG Hydro for $30 with shipping, usually$55

I really like Turbos sprinkler timer idea, but I couldn't get a straight answer as to its use with ballasts. When I get back into LED I will probably go that way

It'll handle ballasts just fine. These are used for roadside/commercial lighting all the time. Parking lot lamps, neon signs etc.

Everyone's going to led, commercial growers are still using high end DE HPS for bigger yields
Honestly, I haven't seen anything that showed a gain with HPS over my best LED other than cost. I've never seen the plants reach for the light (pray). They dont seem to grow as fast. To be fair though I've only grown 2 strains under HPS. I'm using a Spectrum King in the closet and the plants react differently. It would be fun to do a comprehensive grow off between high end LED and HPS. I bought my particular HPS so I could find out what they were like. I made sure to get the DE, and a reflector that would give a big footprint. I didnt want any excuses as to the performance. I dont like it. I'm gonna go to HLG sometime in the near future.

It wasn't so much a ballast thing as much as a digital ballast thing. I'm no electrician. I'd rather have a bone marrow transplant than be electrocuted just a little bit. I know theres little chance of that here. I just went with the advice given

The big plant is for all intent and purposes 2 months old today. I say that because it was a clone.

It's a bit of a beast. The shot with stalk doesnt really do it justice. The tape measure is a bit closer to the camera. To give a better description, it's in a 6 inch netpot and pushing the Hydroton out . The plant top is around 42 inches, but if everything was tucked it would be over 5 feet. I REALLY dont need it much bigger!. This plant is an excellent arguement for less plants is(?) more. Some day I'll pull my head out so it can flower.

The closet plant got 4 gallons of hydro water today. It's doing well, but it still has super purple stems, so I will be giving it more PK booster to knock that shit off. It's been getting the booster lightly but I really didnt want to give anymore than needed.

Both plants got foliar spray with fulvic acid. Lights go out in about a half nourish.

Hope all is good with you guys!

Car show!

So I was talking about my buddies rock crawler. I had to pull this picture from an old phone. While i was there i grabbed more car pics

Here is the rock crawler and the owners Suburban. The truck is a beast. I dont remember what sized axles and all that, but it's insane. It has the V6 Buick. He has another donor motor with the super charger but I guess the wiring harness is missing and it's a bitch to find. The Suburban is Rhinolined on the body. He has a big block for it, but no time.

My kids first truck

Now for some cars
Tommy's 55. It has a 512 incher with an 8-71 blower. He is an artist. When you look at his motor and think theres something missing, there isn't. He's a Plastic Injection Mold Maker (like myself) with his shop in a 5 car garage in the backyard. The next car was his. He sold it to a micro welder friend. There are some very interesting parts that he made on this little truck

Look at the hairpins on this car. They look like they are welded tube. But they are billet. In the photo of the front end you can see the crank mounted alternator and the bracket for the lights, its also billet. This car is on airbags. The front end bags are under the dash, and the air tank is the frame itself.

I could talk cars for a while but I'll spare you

Had a 55 chevy, Silver Blue, two door sedan, 327 with 2 - 4's, 4 speed. She was a beast, beat a number of the super car's of the period, 65 to 69. Sold it when my son was born, needed the cash, and the ol' boy I bought it totalled it three months later. He barely survived, and if you saw the car you would wonder how did he survive. Ran off the road at over 100 mph, hit a rise for a driveway and the car traveled more than 150 feet in the air and crashed into a concrete abutment. I was sad when I saw it, loved the car.

Damn kids! They ruin everything! Haha. Sounds cool. My 53 panel is fun. It has an injected 388. I made it from a Comp. Products short block. It might have 5000 miles on it, but I doubt it. The picture of the car is with the old motor

Thanks for writing in
