Mono's Perpetual Soil

hey mono, do you think I can hang a 150 watt light in a 3 foot tall space? figure the light has to hang down about 6" from the ceiling.. the plants another 6"-1' from the light and the plants get about 20" tall (including pot height)

idk man..

If you are going 12/12 from seed, a little low stress training should give you the space, if you have the horizontal space that is. Without the low stress training it would get a little tight in there :)

Hey Mono hope all is well and Green with you! Auto's can be surprising little buggers can't they lol. I ran with them for ages when I started growing. I'm thinking I might do one more auto run mid next year just to show what training can be done to them etc. People do seem to be getting more interested in them now again.

Everything is going well in my world! Gearing up for the Christmas period. Hope you are enjoying the fruits of Gert my friend!

I agree, the auto's have really surprised me this grow. It's good to see people showing an interest in them, and realising their potential. I would certainly love to see you train an auto my friend!

:Namaste:

Im runnin an auto in my mini cab and trained her a bit. Just kinda pulled the side branches out so they could grow straight up and opened the middle for them. Just added some CO2 flowin so i should see her bulk up more and more. Its an auto cheese from dina fem.

First auto ive ran in about 5 years.

Keep up the good grow though!

Sounds like you have it all sorted there buddy! Hope the CO2 enrichment works wonders for your girls!

:Namaste:

Its not alot of it but the mini cab is pretty small and i killed the fans so hopefully itll build up to something worth while. Had some left over turbo yeast and mixed up a little batch in some half gallon jugs and threw it in. The turbo yeast puts out alot more co2 but it only lasts 3-5 days and doesnt take well to adding more sugar cause its made to hit such high alcohol contents that it kills most of the yeast in it.

Its good for makin the shine too!!! haha.

Ive got 2 co2 tanks from paintballin years ago that im gonna rig up to slow release co2. Ill just have to be there every day when the lights go out to kill it. Its nice im runnin an auto now and got the lights on for 20 hours a day so i only have a few hours of off time and since the yeast work best with heat, it gets cold enough to really slow co2 production (70s) for those few hours off. But an hour or so after the lights kick on its warm enough in there to kickstart the yeast again! haha.

A bit of a comparison. Both plants are from the same batch of seeds, grown in the same conditions. They are both 47 days from seed.

The only difference is the smaller one has been grown in a 4 litre pot and the larger in a 10 litre pot.

No Idea on Final harvest weight, it is however, showing that a bigger pot does make a bigger plant...

The buds appear to be larger on the smaller plant. It will be interesting to see if there is any difference in harvest weight and/or bud quality between these two plants. This is turning out to be a nice comparison grow Mono! :goodjob:

Thank you very much buddy! :Namaste:

I do like a good experiment, thought it would be interesting to see if bigger pots make bigger plants with auto's.

The buds are certainly much more developed on the smaller plant, however, there is another super skunk in a 10 litre pot that is even more advanced than that. I think the strain is not totally stable in the sense of when flowering is induced.

lovely images of beautiful plants as usual mono. you think the size difference is mainly because of the pot size?

you said those cfls are 65 watts each? how much did you pay per bulb?
