Mono's Perpetual Soil

Subbing up 19 pages deep Mono, sheeoot! All your girls are looking great n green! :passitleft:
Stocked to see you got some sage n sours starting up, I have two currently in the tent, although they had a hard life being brought up by windowsill for a month they are doing much better being under the MH.

Stay well :peace: CA

Glad to have you along CA215, you have joined just as things are getting going again :).

Got the sage n sours free from good old herbies, really excited for them should be tasty bud! Have you got a grow journal running on your sage n sour? Would be good to get some tips from someone currently growing them.

I am doing a bunch of medibles today, picture fest for the closing of my outdoor journal. Sugar cookies and gummy candies! :Namaste:

I am hoping to get everything typed up tonight and get something going for you to sub to! As of right now I am lst'ing them and they are seeming to like it :) attempting to get that top all in an orderly fashion at the moment for a scrog. Awaiting a long flower time on these babies. I love the diesel family all together so I think I can be patient for these ones :)

Sounds tasty my friend!

Great to hear they are enjoying the lst. I can't seem to do a grow without at least a little lst. I agree, the diesel family is a really good bunch of buds. How long you expecting the flowering time to be on the sage n sour? I tried to do a bit of research but had to take a guess at around 11-13 weeks with it being sativa dom.

"TH Seeds - Sage n Sour

S.A.G.E. x Sour Diesel
We wouldn`t cross any plant with our favorite : the S.A.G.E.®, but then again, the Sour Diesel is no ordinary plant. With it`s well balanced flavor and infamous strength and smell the S.A.G.E.® has finally met it`s match. With a shorter flowering time than the S.A.G.E.® and a bigger yield than the Sour Diesel, you can now reap the benefits of this must have combo.

Type: Mostly Sativa
Height: 120-140 cm
Yield: + 350 p.s.m.
Flowering Time: 9 weeks."

Stretching on the autos has totally stopped and the growth seems to be developing nice tight nodes. So chuffed with that haha.

Seeing quite a lot of initial stretch on the pineapple chunks, hope it stops soon. I will most likely clear all the lower growth anyway so should not be too much of a problem.

Breeder was saying 9-10 and it being pretty much full bore sativa I was shooting for at least the 10 if not 12 weeks, would really like some fat sativa nugs, always makes for a great day :) We will see how they do, update on them shortly in the new journal.
Imo on the little girl being pulled and replaced.. I would do the as you all are thinking, fem Pineapple chunk if you are going for a full bud run, if not, plant that reg, cross fingers for a male and collect some pollen, ohhyea :blunt:

I thought 9 weeks was extremely short for a sativa, I was thinking in the sort of 12 week range. We shall see how they do. Make sure you give me the link when you get the new journal up and running. How you going to be growing your little ones?

As for the replacement, I have two tents, one for veg and one for flower so I would prefer females from the regular seeds (i have 5) as I quite frankly think collecting pollen and doing anything with it would be a little bit out of my skill set haha

Yes sir same as I was thinking.. If they say 9 weeks Ill add a week to that and start watching from there. From experience watching sativas grow this outdoor season I am expecting a long indoor flower time regardless, we have a good few months on our hands :)
I am growing my little ones in soil, vegging with teas and such, going to flower with AN goodies, & im using ffof and vermifire soil,
Link being sent your way in t minus 2 minutes :Namaste:

Funny when I look at the plants in the tent they seem not to be growing, yet when I look back to the last load of pics it's clear that they are haha.

Put two white widow x Skunk #1 beans in to soak. Also finally got round to popping the sage n sour too which are currently in moist paper towels.

All being well in the next couple of days we should have increased the plant count from 6 to 12 :)

I've been experiencing this same phenomenon! I was thinking nothing was happening for awhile, but now I like to take pictures almost everyday to do side-by-sides. It's really quite amazing how much they change in a day.

And 12 plants, whew! I'm jealous :dreamy:

There are a few WWxSkunk grows going on right now. It'll be nice to watch them all grow together.

I think Sage and Sour is going to go on my to-grow list.

:ciao:

I think I spend too much time just standing looking at them so don't notice the difference at all. I think I will do some day to day pics to see how much they are actually growing in a day :)

any pictures updates? last one was 3 days ago :)

I might get some new bulbs because I don't like how dim 2700k bulbs look to my eye.

Would you suggest 3500k or 5000k? I found two packs at lowes and I'm gonna pick up one. Which do you think will look/be brighter? They are both packs of 23 watt, 1600 lumen bulbs.

Will go and take some pics just now :)

I use 6400k cfls for veg and a couple of 2700k cfls. They are the same amount of lumens, just the 6400k bulbs look brighter lol. Also I use 65 watt and 45 watt so probably look a bit brighter lol

That's an artifact of how we see the visible light spectrum. I think the plants "see" light differently and do not notice the apparent dimness of the lower K range as we see it. I haven't performed any experiments regarding high vs. low spectrum lighting during vegetative and flowering stages, however IMHO I would be careful selecting spectrums based on your preferences rather than the plants.
