Mono Grows Again

Cheers lads always nice to look on the bright side of things... at least she didn't have a chance to pollinate the whole tent. Now that would have been a disaster!

Welcome aboard Blighty Buds, hope things are going well fella! :high-five:

Things are trooping along in the garden, I'm still waiting on the critical hog clones rooting, in the mean time I started off another purple #1 from dutch passion and transplanted the vegging critical hog up from a 7 litre pot to a 15 litre pot.

In the flowering tent, the last outdoor / indoor plant is budding away nicely, the smaller critical hog is starting to put some colas together, and we have baby buds beginning to form on the two Mother of Berries. I've also moved a little Strawberry glue into the flowering tent just to see what she does :)

I don't like having high plant numbers (Not that the 11 plants I've got growing is really high numbers), given the legality of cannabis in the UK. So I'm slowly working back down to only having 3-4 larger plants on the go at any one time, with the view to having another crack at the one plant, one kilo target over the winter :bong:

Anyway, some pics, managed to catch the HPS just as she clicked on...

So, the purple #1 seedling doesn’t seem to happy, anyone got any ideas what the issue could be.

Leaf burning / discolouration, with slow, very weak growth.

pH 5.8 - 6.2, feeding 1/3rd strength every two days to runoff. I’ve already removed the two lower leaves, as they were burnt to a crisp.

I thought it was over feeding, but the other two seedlings are doing fine, and I’ve always fed seedlings the same strength nutrients and never had this issue before.

I’ve not spilt nutrients on the leaves, or given it the wrong feed...

I’m stumped.... :bongrip:

I’ve flushed the Purple #1 as still no idea what the issue is. I’ll give her plan water for the next few days, if she doesn’t perk up I may just scrap her and sprout another seed.

The veg plants are coming along well, I’m waiting on a new cfl coming before I can get pics of the veg tent as pics under LED never look right haha.

Anyway, some pics of the flowering tent.

Bad genetics would be my guess if you are doing everything the same and in the same environment with the same strength nutes.

I don't have any experience in coco so I can't offer any insight brother.

Cheers fella!

I was wondering if that could be a possibility, I've got a rather simple routine with the plants... They all get fed from the same mix from day one until flush, never seen the issue before.

i always seem to think it's grower error. I gave it a good flush, run off is pH 6.1 and feeds have been 5.9 @ 1/4 strength so I can't see it being lockout, over feeding or any other pH issue, unless the water supply has changed (it's a private supply from a stream behind the house).

Maybe too much iron in the water locking out manganese.

Will see if she perks up in the next week or so, if not, time to pop another seed

On the left is the ill purple #1, it's two weeks older than the plant on the right... She went to the compost heap today and another bean was popped to give the strain another try.

Will be interesting to see how this strawberry glue produces too ;)

And in the veg tent I have the next one kilo contender. Not a particularly high yielding strain, but a very stable indica with amazing colour and flavour.

Mother of Berries from TH Seeds.

She’s currently around two months old from seed, in a 30 litre fabric pot of coco, with 2 inches of clay pebbles in the bottom.

I’m thinking of beginning flowering on her mid-end December, so that will give her a solid six months of vegetative growth from seed.

At that age, she won’t fit inside the 4x4 tent, so I’m thinking of hanging the tent frame for the lights / fans etc to hang on, but letting her have as much space as she wants in the room. I can keep the room at 25 degrees C lights on and 22 degrees C lights off, with negative pressure in the whole room.

Got to keep it only 600 watts of light though :bong:

Pics were not very good under the mars LED so some under flash instead.

The gardens finally starting to pick up pace, feeding the flowering tent every day canna coco a and b at 1/3rd strength. PK 13/14 twice a week now at half strength.

Now it’s starting to get a little cooler here in Scotland, the night time temperatures are sitting around 20 - 21 degrees C in the flowering tent which is a drop of about 6 degrees from the day time temps. Aiming to keep it this way.

The big girl in the veg tent is coming along well, slow and steady for her. Going to do some training at the weekend.
