Long story short, hubby wouldn't listen to my vision. He built it in the wrong spot. Got mad. I left. Sunday came and ... hmmm gee that won't work. I said I tried to tell ya.... anyway... still happily married  pulled out the cement and back to my vision. We relocated it to the Center so it can swing from the middle.

Heya Momma!

Is the arm parallel to the length of the greenhouse? If so, how far is the hinge from the end of the greenhouse? If the arm swings the cover over the top and long sides, how do you block light on the ends?

Sorry about the late delay in postings. I have Been in class

The one thing I find in the greenhouse. Today, at 7:12 am temps were 16, RH 88%. That is after nights with dew falling. As soon as I open her up her RH drops to normal, then by end of day she is hot and drier at about 26% RH. I do find they are holding their moisture more. I don't care for that it can cause more problems with mould and gnats. . I may buy a de humidifier for outside, see how they handle being covered. I will finish that project in the next day or so. Sooner than later.

It is with bright shade from about 430pm on to help give you perspective.

@Cola Monster when do you start to cover yours?

Sounds like you will need to turn up the ventilation to get the moist air out of the greenhouse. Ventilation is also going to be critical when you cover the greenhouse during sunlight hours for light dep.

I don't do the light deprivation method at all but was just describing how I'd go about doing things if I did. Sorry for the confusion!:lot-o-toke:
And @FelipeBlu is correct, you're going to have to find someway to ventilate the greenhouse during the blackout hours or you might be in for a serious world of moldy hurt come harvest. I have both of my greenhouses ventilated at each end so the heat can escape during the hot days and I can if ever needing cover up at night by having flaps that I attach using P.V.C. snap clamps.
I wish you the best of luck in figuring it all out which is half the fun in my opinion. That's how I learned over the years by simple trial and error & not repeating the same mistakes twice.:blunt:

Where are you in the world Monster? I totally agree with you, it's half the fun!! I love experiments.

I want to finish early Sept. rains get bad here, BC Coast. This is the only way I think I can do it or else I'll have to run dehumidifiers 24/7. Which I may have to do regardless honestly. hmmm...

I live in the Northern California area where we get good growing weather all the way through October on into November, well for the most part. :cheesygrinsmiley:
