Well good luck Grizz. Keep your foot in the door with your kid. Mine- the one who lived with me for four years or five recent years- went to try living with his mom over a year ago. She's a couple days travel away. Weather was suddenly alway 'too bad', they were always 'too busy' and she booked him up for everything she could so was completely 'unable' to give me the visits I gave her for all those years. I guess I should have pushed it but that meant going back to court to enforce the legal agreement we have and I hate court. At 14 years old it's not something you want your kid to have to live through either.
Didn't work out that great - he's basically drifted off now under her influence and doesn't seem to even want to talk to me anymore. When he does text me he sounds almost exactly like her.
Starting to wonder if he's even alive over there.
I haven't seen him in six months and then it was only for two days. I'm just focussing on keeping my own life good, leaving it alone, and hoping it works itself out.
I may or may not be screwing myself by not getting in there and fighting it out- but I did that for so many years I'm done with it. On the plus side I don't have to deal with her horrible toxic shit anymore. Though it may just be a case of 'pay now or...pay later'
