When I look at the rogues gallery of those who became visitors in my thread I'm quite pleased to be able to say that there's a pretty classy crowd hangin' out in here and I appreciate the interest and advice/commentary. I won't list names because I'm sure to leave somebody out but I want all to know that it's their presence that makes a journal worth doing and I've gained knowledge from each and every one of you..

The Auto Hindu Kush finished with 9g of decent smoke under the 90w UFO. Supposed to be able to do 30g and probably could approach that with better lighting. I wouldn't normally consider it as a primary strain but it was worth trying and for those doing mini-stealth grows it is probably worthwhile. Smoke is a little better than mids. Has a kush taste but not strong in smell or flavor.
I got around 200 seeds from the seeded auto, unsorted in this pic, but there should be north of 100 viable seeds. Maybe a SOG candidate somewhere down the road, when I can devote the space and better lighting.
The bud didn't last long enough to bother with pics.

I believe it was OMM who informed me that the auto trait doesn't show in seeds from auto parents but I labelled them as such anyway so I'll remember where they originated.

I didn't know that about auto seeds, they never have the trait? My first attempt at a sog is winding down and unfortunately I'm going to have a bunch of 9g plants, I hope they smoke ok. I got about that much off an ak clone in the first grow and I haven't even tried it, it just didn't look right to me. These look better. Fingers crossed.

Got yourself plenty of seeds for a future grow. And who cares if the auto does not carry over. Nobody is going to know the difference when its in a bowl on fire giving you some love. Very nice and enjoyable journal as always.

Hey Blue, thank you my friend. My attempt to catch up got shut down by company but I should be able to make the rounds today.

OMM got the info from an experienced source so I suspect it's correct. I'll grow some out later this year and see what developes. Even without the auto trait they should be worthwhile. A little longer veg time can't hurt so it might be a good trade-off.
All we can do is try new things and learn as we go. Your next SOG could very well amaze you. Maybe it's a matter of different timing on the trim job. I'm sure you'll work out the kinks and in the meantime you'll still have some fesh bud to keep the stash levels up. I'm rooting for you!!

Should be enough to keep me going for a while. I let the seeded plant go an extra couple of weeks to help the beans mature a little longer, so maybe I'll have more viable seeds than anticipated.

I would love to be able to do a small field of Hindu Kush, might even be able to get bigger plants since they won't rush into flower on thier own. Maybe somewhere down the road, when Canada realizes how the high cost of prohibition is so ineffectively applied.

Yep, I know they need some time before they get planted but thanks for the reminder, my friend. They'll have months to cure before I'm likely to use them.

Hi Sonzor. Got enough to do a test grow to see if the female seeds can actually be identified by the indent at the base as suggested a while back in your thread.(I think it was there I first saw the idea).

So true, when smoking the product it makes no difference if they flowered on their own or naturally. The bud is a good daytime smoke, decent, but not heavy enough to interfere with normal day to day functions.
