Decided to transplant the plants into their final buckets. Washed and mixed some perlite in with the coco. For the reservoir I used canna aqua clay pebbles, brewing bucket taps for drainage and covered the back of the taps inside the buckets with 75 micron nylon mesh to prevent the pebbles, coco or perlite from blocking the taps.

@FelipeBlu

Any idea what's the cause ?

The plant that that had the dodgy leave that looked like it had been munched on.

This other plants leaves look a bit off also, newer vegetation looks weird, discolored.

Good afternoon @MGD420 I hope you are doing well.
I noticed you have a heat mat, what is your temp set at?
What is your ph, ppm?

Stay safe

Good evening BIll.

The heat mat has been off for around 2 weeks, the mat temp can't be manually set unless it is use in combination with some sort of thermostat which I don't have. When in use it's barely warm but never had an issue using it on seedlings.
The temp in the tent on the other hand is sitting at 21C - 69F.
The temps get quite low occasionally dropping as low as 16C - 60F.
Humidity is sitting at 64% at the moment.

I haven't been testing the pH of the feeds as I'm using the pH perfect line of nutrients in coco/perlite. Apparently there is no need to pH up or down.

PPM mixing the micro, grow, bloom @ 3ml per litre along with 2ml of B52 and 2ml Voodoo juice brings it up to 1000ppm.

Ok I understand. :Namaste:
Is that a wood floor under them?
16 c is chilly.

I'm not sure I get what you mean ?
Is the thing they're sitting on in the tent wood ? It's the heat mat.
The flooring in the house is wooden, OSB or something similar. The bedroom the tent is in is carpeted.

Thanks again.

Sorry some tents are in basements with cement floors that are cold.

I wasn't sure if thats what you meant or not.
No concrete floors in the house, all wooden.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem, like 7dust suggested, magnesium deficiency ?
Put cal mag in your water first every time in coco.

Same amount as what FelipeBue mentioned previously or should I up the amount.
I didn't see what @FelipeBlu recommended but it would be wise to follow his recommendations.

Hola MGD

For some reason, Mg is deficient. The oddly-shaped leaves are also indicating a possible issue with potassium. Something is causing a lockout - temp? pH?

Hi Felipe.
If I had to guess out of the two it may be the temperature, temps in the tent have been quite low recently, first it was low humidity and now temp. It's still like winter here at the moment. Temps have been around 16C but they constantly fluctuate throughout the day and early hours drop to around 16C. Its sitting at 23C just now but that's only because I've had the heating on.

I can test the pH of the feed before watering the plants but don't have anything to test pH of the medium and haven't had any run off as of yet because the plants have only been getting 1 - 2 litres every other day since transplanting into the buckets.

If you are growing in coco, you absolutely have to know what your pH is - every feeding!

Edited because I wasn’t reading closely. You don’t need to measure pH of your media or runoff. What is the pH of your feed?

I totally understand what your saying and definitely in no way disputing your experience or trying to say your wrong but isn't the point of the advanced nutrients meant to be so you don't need to change or constantly test pH with their pH perfect hydro nutrients.

First time I used the advanced nutrients pH perfect I had no issues whatsoever and never once changed or checked pH of the feeds, run off or coco. Only time I used the pH meter was during the first 3 or so weeks I used the canna a and b as that needed to be pH'd.

Just trying to understand the whole pH perfect nonsense where advanced nutrients claim it isn't necessary.

How can I go about fixing the issue without having to go out and buy additional stuff.

Would I be better feeding the plants with enough nutrients to fill the res and get run off so every other day when I feed them I can test the run off. I haven't managed to fill the reservoirs yet as the plants roots aren't anywhere near the bottom with only being transplanted a couple of days ago.
