MGD420 Grow Journal: Jan 2022

no. you're way too hot.
ease off a bit. if you can.

you're riding a rail as the buckets are too large. you'doing really well considering what you have to work with

it's crazy hot now. there's no where to go for flower.

he hasn't settled on a straight method yet. it's all kinda part this part that.

Is there a chart or something similar for where ppm's should be through out a grow ?

What would be the recommended ppm's for seedlings, Veg through to flower.

AN has feeding charts on their web site. Pretty sure it doesn't give ppm's though....

Go with 50 % of their recommendations and stay below 1000 ;)

Cheers.

Yea their feed charts don't use or go by ppm just ml/l

Thanks I'll do this from their next feed.

For future reference regarding ppm's would this chart from RQS be a reasonable chart for what to aim for when mixing nutrients ?

That might still be a little high, just keep a careful eye out at ~ 900 !

Cheers

I recall when I first got here that folks always recommended 50% for AN. Looks like it's still the case.

It's funny, I did a lot of reading on MC and don't remember much about ppm readings ?

With my water I now know ;)

My King Gelato is well into flower and still stretching. If I don't kill her she will be a beast, he, he..

Cheers

the chart you posted is fine. i usually run about the same numbers. i finish just a touch hotter usually.

he's not running MC. MC has an ec and both 500 and 700 ppm charts on their website though.

I was referring to AN when I suggested he visit their website. I used AN M/G/B + my last two grows.

My MC comment was about what I am using this grow.

Cheers

AN stopped posting an ec/ppm chart. he was following the measured bottle chart. which typically puts you too hot with AN. the bottle chart is the same as they post.

the chart is correct for 700 scale. you might be thinking 500 scale. 500 scale finishes about 850 - 900ppm at the peak of
flower.

edit : this is precisely why ec is becoming more widely adopted.

The chart itself has 3 phases of veg and 4 for flower.
I'm guessing those are early, mid and late stages for both ?

Other than the obvious like going by breeder times, or pistils that show plants are beginning to flower etc
How does one know what stage of veg, flower etc they're actually in ?

That's probably harder to answer for autos, especially the veg part since you have no idea when an auto will start to flower. But if you know flower days from the breeder you can figure that early would be from pistils to the end of stretch, middle would be the pistil production part, and late would be when the flowers are bulking up and the first pistils start to senesce.

That makes sense regarding flowering stages.

I've found the only issue with using breeders times is that they're normally off by a few weeks. Not sure if that's due to different environments, nutrients, medium etc but have noticed with previous grows and breeder estimates that they might for example say something like 76 days from seed to harvest but its way off as I've seen my girls go as long as 90+ before they were ready to harvest.

As of right now I'm not 100% sure if my plants are in early flower, I thought they were as it looked as if they had a couple of small pistils forming but now I'm not sure if its pistils or new vegetation.

They still seem to be growing, it's more "Stumpy" I'm worried about. Although it is growing, I can't see it growing a huge deal, the other two though, I'm a bit more enthusiastic
Could just be 'one of those' that for whatever reason doesn't want to take off. The other two are booming. It's like my 2 in the little 2 litre pots. Granted they're different strains but they got the same treatment and environment and one is about 8" tall and the other is the tallest in the tent.
