Method 420-s1ing gets waxy

Yeah man. BHO and other solvents that strip the resins usually affect the terpenoid profile as well. Bubble does too, but it's still better IMO because you don't have to purge or anything and there are still some terpenes left. The best way to enjoy the entire flavor/aroma profile is to make dry-sift. I haven't made any yet myself other than the sifted kief I've captured.

Also, a zester will not do the same thing as a true microplane. I know this because I did the same thing (tried using a zester) and just ended up going to bed bath and beyond and picked one up for $10. I keep the sleeve on it and have it stuffed in my bubble bucket. Not letting it get drafted into regular kitchen duty.

Sounds like ill be in the customer service line at wally world returning the new never used zester. Theres no bed bath here but maybe they have there stuff online

I had to google those names and then was taken back, thanks. Used to be one of my fav shows growing up, one main reason was it ensured I got to stay up later lol.

As far as the butane I heard what is left isn't enough to do harm and the vacuum chamber thing supposedly can pretty much clear it out if you do it right
been doing a bit of it ill post a pic for you have 3 runs so far my third is different from the first 2 im trying to think what I did
diferent and is the last run better or worse im not sure I haven't tried my last one yet the first 2 was pretty good tho

bt I been doing manual vacuuming a hand pump I wanna get a better chamber and an electric pump that can pull more than 25hg
see if and what kinda difference a little more vacuum can do

So my BHO experience is very limited but I do hear chatter about "Shatter" and that the best stuff will break or shatter. The stuff I made wouldn't and I think like most things to get "Art" quality takes years of practice.
Maybe Ill figure out a way to make it blue? "Tight!, Tight!, Tight!!!"" haha
 
So Sunday will be day one of a 5 day trim journey on my last "tiny" plant up on the ranch. In fact its the last indoor plant to be trimmed and nothing else will be flowered there this year. All growing there will be for my outdoor project or to bring to the new spot closer to home

I tried some after my last harvest with brand new all mesh bags. I forget the brand now :blalol:
My experiments were mostly old dry trim, but I had a little fresh/frozen. There was a difference between them. It seemed like the fresh stuff had less plant matter. The dry stuff just turns to dust in storage and contaminates the hash. My favorite bag was the 73, but my trim was also all a mixture of strains.

I just finished a harvest and collected all the good trim into separate bags so I have single strain frozen fresh. :yummy:

I'm gonna pick up a washer before I get started. I'll need a zipper 220 bag too and a couple more drying screens probly.

I just looked on the auction site and found a washer for $76 shipped. Also found a guy with the 220 zipper bag and a 5 pack of drying screens. I better get this done before it warms up too much more. I'll get everything ready then wait for a cold snap. :blalol:

I made a thread somewhere about this, but it didn't get much action... how do you smoke your hash?
I'm old school and love my glass bong. It's just a little 10-12"(?) beaker, but it has ground glass fittings. :circle-of-love:
I've been putting the hash onto a little nug, or sometimes I've tried putting it on an ash, but only when the ash looked 'solid' enough.

Anyway, cool thread. I'll post some pics here after I make my next batch.

Yes Sir, all from frozen fresh but some is getting old in the freezer and it will have more plant matter than the freshly frozen. So far I like a week in the freezer but im not sure it needs that long??

weird how much diff strains can be cause the 73 on my last two wax runs caught almost nothing lol

Yeah thats a great price on the washer and the 220 work bags are great, a vid showed guys loving the pyramid shaped bags but i've yet to see them for sale.

I have a small Vape Ape pen vape but want a bong type setup with a nail

Cant wait to see what ya come up with.

Whats up all I just wanted to jump in here and say hi. I'm 21 days into flower on my first grow and she is beautiful! I had a few others and wanted to make hash out of my trim but the rest turned out to be males :(....she's just been starting to get frosty with trichs and looks like it's going to make me proud so I want to follow this thread and pick up as much as I can on doing it.

Can I get some decent hash off one plants trimmings or should I freeze it and wait for my next batch? Further more, will it last that long?

Well, depending on how big your plant is, even off of 1 good-sized plant I got about 2 grams of top shelf bubble and about another 2 grams of lesser grade that I just put in a few bowls with some herb.

Regarding a couple other points. Fresh-Frozen is THE way to go with bubble. If your trim gets a little on the dry side, I would suggest doing dry-sift instead and just carding to clean the unwanted debris. As far as time in the freezer, I've had trim in the freezer for 3 months before with no noticeable negative effects.

I have made decent wax in mid march that had been in the freezer since last December, like 2 days before XMas. It did seem darker and had much more plant material in the 2nd run.
Congrats on getting your plant going and soon a harvest nice to see ya Lucky, keep at it soon you'll be on your tenth grow:)

I agree the last run that was with 7 day old fresh froze was much better. I plan on testing the upcoming trim a few sooner. Wonder if you used it the next day if there would be any negatives from if it had been there a week?

No I really would just like to see what extractors would come up with and of course it would also be fun to have that contest to strive for.
You are right though I got lots to learn.
I am going to set aside some of the trim this next run to dry so i can blast it to BHOLand:Hookah:

hmmmm so you think the trim doesn't work as well if it's been frozen too long? I have some from my last harvest I plan to process in this next batch. I'm getting ready for a hash making marathon! :rofl: I have about a dozen 1g freezer bags of fresh frozen trim. :yummy: The age will vary from just a couple weeks old to months old. :blalol:

I think it will be fine, might have been a little better if i was fresher but im not sure.
