Medijuana - DIY Cabinet, Perpetual Grow, Airpots, Soil w/LST

Hey OMM, Thanks so much dude...if you're jealous then im surely doin something right:yahoo: Meds are really good, I see how its gonna get me off my pill prescription...I just forget to take em:ganjamon::)...no seriously..I would say that this plant does as described, I couldnt be happier. My next harvest is in 3 weeks, these havent been grown in airpots, so Im not expecting the same results, the way things look tho, I wont be too disappointed. I think im ready to take clones from mother I been coaxing along next week, I think so anyway....working out the timing and space of this perpetual grow is proving a challenge!!! So yesterday I transplanted my bonsai mum to be from her 1 liter airpot to a 11x11cm square pot. I trimmed back to a smooth cylinder shape root ball, cutting off all the cones that thad developed by the airpot structure, and also cutting approx 5cm from the bottom. I prepped her new pot with a few cm wet allmix in the bottom then packed more allmix with a bit extra perlite added around her, gave her a good watering with biobizz grow and some root juice and today she seems to be looking not too bad, though a long long way from the inspiration that is mmclients bonsai mum...

In her new pot, still lonely in the veg room...

I think I be taking my first clones from her in a week or so, Im just trying to work out a schedule and numbers to cut...I keep you posted :ganjamon:

Very nice Bass!! So you hit it a just a hair over .5g/w, thats good! My best was about exactly the same, I had about 305g on my 600w (the harvest preceding the PM onset). From what I've read .5/g is pretty much the benchmark for a good setup being run well. 1g/w is pretty much as high as anyone gets with all the bells/whistles/enhancements/etc. My next goal is to try to get up to .75g/w, if I can hit that I will be ecstatic! Maybe that could be our competition, first to .75?
Anyways, like I said, looks great!! How about some pics with the scope of the dried buds/resin shots? Coming soon?

So thats me updated for now..I think I got some issues with my mother tho....since I transplanted her all branches and stem turned purple. I did cut prune her roots so Im hoping its just a little shock and she will recover soon...any opinion on this would be helpful :thankyou:

Hey Dude, ...yes I gotta say Im happy with the yield...way way better tan my first grow which came in at just 57g:yahoo: :)Im not expecting the next 3 to produce so much...first they havent been grown in airpots, and second they never really had a chance for optimum light from the hps cos they been banished to the sides of the cab...they have been supplemented with the cfls which give a closer 4500lumens but still they are no way as developed as my last grow. As for the one after that, grow 4, 4 plants....If I dont hit .75g/w with these I might be a little disappointed, they surely look to be starting out in a good way...Hope you like the trich shots bro...Im gonna try more today now I have a bit more time...I guess I should look to put something in to the NOM this week...Hope you are well Bro, keep it real dude

Your mum looks pretty good so I'm guessing any yellowing is the result of the root trimming. My own expertise, as it were, isn't that deep so questions about nutrient deficiencies and the like are best addressed elsewhere. Pretty much anything (pruning, root trimming, transplanting, etc.) should be followed by a period of at least a week to recover before doing anything else. Try to wait a bit until harvesting clones since a more mature mom recovers better. After harvesting clones try to be careful with the clean-up prune. The thicker the stalk/stem/branches get, the more green material needs to be left on. I think this has to do with the increased resistence needing more green to help pull water and nutrients through. Since you're height restricted, you'll need to re-establish the basic starting height, or she'll grow into the lights. Beyond these basics, keeping her in veg, using a good weakish mix of nutrients, and some patience (not my strong suit) go a long way. Still impressed with the DIY inventiveness in your grow. Also, really interested in a review of Medijuana, hint hint.
 
Thanks for the tips mmclient. I was considerin to try and leave more green than one top on the clones, just for the reason that the nodes are so close together near the tips...
I havent taken any yet, just lettin the lady recover enough first. As for the report on the medijuana, Im down a third on my other meds, pain relief properties are very good indeed. I dont feel heavy in the head, just nicely relaxed and more able to relax in the body, and sleepin so much better without being nauseous in the mornings. I am more concerned about the time and effects of coming off my other meds, more than these new meds not being up to the task. To say i've not allowed myself to partake of any Grade A bud, not til this wkend will I, as the first plant i harvested has now been dry/curing for 4 weeks:yahoo:

I made some cannabutter and then some rice crispy treats with the trim I saved from the 2 plants

I had. sampled them last nite and had the best nite sleep in a lond time...so then I had one for breakfast today....feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, not bad considering the weather:)

Lots of folks have tried this strain Medijuana, but most have had real problems from them going hermi. I reread your journal and I see nothing like that. Yours just keep getting better and better. Where did you get yours? I haven't be able to locate any. I would love to try some.

I can't say enough about your set up and your planing. WTG! :)

More than likely she's living off her leaves while growing some new roots where you trimmed them, that's all. That medijuana plant really, really looks good, bro. I'm going to have to try and get some clones back here!!

Hi OldMedMan, Thanks for the compliments, pretty cool to be able to impress an old hand like yourself....i got my seeds from amsterdamseedsonline, and I do feel ive been quite lucky with my progress compared to others as you say who have had problems...I definately think this strain is well suited to indoor training...I love it anyway.....Im still checkin out ur grow progress, admittedly from the sidelines...its just so busy over there (your journal) :)

I had to take one of the grow 3 girls from the sides, things were getting too crowded in there...anyway I took the smallest and put here under a 200w, 2700k cfl, its only for a few days with the cab now looking like this...
