McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

the only way to get rid of your history is to take out the hard drive and smash it to bits:peace:
that's not to remove it. To make the history not visible to your, well whoever, just delete it. & oh yeah, then clear your recycle bin.

This is a little off topic, and if it offends anyone........IDC! At what point did we become so stupid that restaurant owners decided that they would short the pay of the waiters and waitresses, and shame the patrons into paying the rest of their wages with tips?.........they even dictate how much we should pay them! I do tip, I tip on the basis of quality of service, and what these servers did that was BEYOND what I would consider normal service. I think I will stop tipping unless the servers save some ones life or something like that, I'm sick of stupid concepts, it's not my fault that some one takes a job that only pays 2.50 an hour, and then expect me to pay more than the employer. This is as stupid as a free car wash that requires a 10 dollar donation............they aren't required to lie like I do to keep my ass out of jail. We are doomed as a people as long as we go along with counterproductive practices, am I wrong?

I know exactly what you're saying - in what other business do you directly pay their employees? But there's more to it than that. I actually think it's probably a good thing. I've spent a lot of years in the restaurant business, and was a waiter for years in my 20s - best job I had during those times. I was in retail for 20+ and then a few years ago, had an opportunity to start a little lunch cafe, where I am now. I'm the owner, and operate the place myself, so I wasn't really prepared to be tipped, and I don't get tipped like most waiters, but it's still significant and rather remarkable. It was an odd feeling at first, but I soon realized that most people voluntarily tip for food service, even when it's pretty clear that that they don't have to. Interesting - it got me to thinking.

We know how centralized and impersonal our culture is becoming, people use phones to text more than to speak to each other, big corporations are forcing our small personal business into bankruptcy, etc. I mean when is the last time you entered a corporate store in a mall and were spoken to personally, like an individual human being? I kinda like the idea of a service person's income being directly related to how much I approve of the way they're doing their job. The opposite might be a secure government employee, like a social worker or DMV worker. They don't care what you think.

I've always worked directly with the faceless public, and my income has always been dependent on how they felt about the way I treated them. It'd be nice if more businesses were based that way, I say. Imagine if your local DMV employee got most of their income from tips. Imagine how a social worker's tude might change if she got half her income in tips? :cheesygrinsmiley: There are thousands of examples like that.

If your server doesn't seem to care about you, don't tip her/him - that act will get cleaned up or she/he will fail at the job.

I hear ya gray, but me, mcloadie, I always try to think the best of folks...........if I get shitty service I think to myself...mcloadie, you don't know what kind of day that server is having, you don't know, they may be havin all kinds of troubles...or just havin a bad day......and I usually tip them MORE if I sense they are having issues...regardless of the service, and I always pray for them under my breath and try to say some kind words to them. However, I think that the gratuity should be left out of the conversation concerning the employer....the gratuity has nothing to do with the employer, it's based on a relationship developed between the server and the customer...BTW, I am a heavy tipper!

It can still be found even after erased. Only way to really get rid of it is to destroy the Hard-drive.

you can also install some sore of disk wiping program that wipes the free space on the hard drive.

One I use is called Sure Delete. Or Iobits Advanced Care, another freebie that wipes drives and tuens up PC's

Your virus scan might have a disk wiper in it also. I know my Norton has it in there.

Everything you delete on your computer is still there until you use a good wipe program that rewrites gibberish over deleted files.

A deleted file is just like a file in a filing cabinet and all you did was pull the label name off. The file is still there until is is wiped.

Tipping is not a city in China. The company I worked for suggested 20% tip on all expense reports. I just figure it's part of the cost of the meal. As an ex bartender tips are nice and I tend to tip good service at 20% acceptable at 15% and unacceptable at 2 cents.:peace:

Ima pussy at tipping Harley! You been ridin lately?, I've been goin a little recently, even if just to town for groceries. The old lady is all over my ass to go all the time....she loves to ride. I rode yesterday and it was soooo hot, my bike has that deal where the back cylinder shuts off and turns into a cooling pump at idle when it's real hot....and it was doin it yesterday, my abs light comes on when it's hot too. It's probly to do with the pipes being a different temperature than the stock ones.......I have vance and hines big shots with competition baffles.

i was speaking in reference to another user in the household not a tech. Your hard drive will leave traces of everything.

I've been out a couple of times I was going to Sturgis with a buddy Saturday but I can't leave the plants that long so had to bow out.
I've ridden In 100+ degree heat and my bike runs pretty good. I'm sure where you are at it's a lot hotter and can affect the bike a little more. I still have stock pipes and fuel injection about all I have done to my bike is replace the seat, add a sissy bar, add saddle bags, grips, and a windshield. How often are you replacing the rear brake and tire??? I've got a Dunlop and had it on less than 3 months and it's just about wore out maybe 1500 miles on it I'm thinking I need to switch to an Avon or Michelin (need to do more research).........:peace::high-five:

I know gray......a big pussy!....LOL......people are for lovin! If you water a person like you water a plant they will grow too, the bonus is that I grow also! I will not be conformed to this world...........I am in this world...but not OF it! And that my friend is a precarious position!

Word. There are opportunities every single day to ease someone's way, and I try to take advantage of them whenever I can.

A guy's gotta have somethin' to say to St Peter when the big day comes, I figure. Besides, it feels good, and who doesn't wanna feel good.

(thanks for the reps)

Hey Guy's, question for you. I get this 400 watt supernova, what else would I need to get the best out of the plants, besides nutes. Mac, we already talked about the LST and HST I was going to do. I will have to do that to the LA Silver now that the NL #% shit itself.

I've got way over five on my back tire, and I've been getting ten out of my front. I wear my back brake out just slightly faster than my front. Sounds like that tire was rotten and just dusted off, I've been hard on back tires before.......doin smokey burnouts.....but I have the stock whitewalls on it now and never had problems with these tires. I've never been to Sturgis, it has to be off the hook!

The next best thing you could do would be to vent that light, when they are vented properly you can put em right down on the plants, and when you can get em down like that...........the yield improves substantially, and I would say the quality too........I got some nice buds under the 600. I know a lot of folks runnin the 400 with excellent results.
