McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

So about a lb of material produced about 3 oz using your dry ice method? Then processed for butter?

Truly exceptional thread.

Thanks

The calculations I've done so far put it at like 2 oz. per pound. My trim consisted of the standard trim I take off the buds, the leaves, damaged bud, and a coupla plants that weren't what they shoulda been ........they got stuck between veg and flower. I have run all the material that was wilted then frozen, I have some bags of dried trim....and we'll see what they produce.........I'm pleased, and won't be posting pics of the take...hehe.....we have hash!

Looks like this grow may produce more than your last grow. I think those super-cropping techniques are going to produce for ya.

I hope it does scar, I know the plants are healthier now than they were last run....I learned how to combat the hard water issue this run....we'll see when she's dry how well I did on yield!

When the dry ice process is over, you have a very fine powder left in the bag, I'm gonna take that and try a bubble run first......if its worth it I'll run it all, if not then I'll cook with it. I saw a vid where a dude went straight from a dry ice run to a bubble run....he just immersed the dry ice/material in water, added some ice and it just bubbled and fogged with dry ice and reg ice in the water in the bag. I have already got the idea to just use a regular washing machine....what we do the laundry in...and stick my bucket under the drain hose........let that fu-ker run and agitate and do it's thing......BAM!...I could run 5 lbs. or so at a time!.....a bubble run!

And good weed to you, Mc!

It's a beautiful autumn day here. :allgood:

How right you are.

The companies will produce what we want if we keep that dollar bill in our pocket just a little longer...........I have vegged with a single component balanced fertilizer...16-16-16, with great results, my mentor told me I don't need anything hotter than 5-5-5. I have also flowered with a single component flower nute...dr earth flower girl. jon705 has found a great single component time release veg nute that costs only .50 a plant per month! We need to refuse to use the multiple complicated bullshit formulas........bust out some supersoil and get it on!

So very true.

I really liked Osmocote Plus. They've discontinued it, but a competitor, Dynamite Red 13-13-13 is comparable. Timed-release prills - you just add water.

Osmocote Plus is a good fert. I'm not using it on the final grow I have going but it takes it almost all the way through to finish. Good stuff.

In what ratio do you use at ? I see their directions give an application yield in sq. feet.

Thanks

Hmm, trying to remember ...

I think it was a tablespoon per gallon. The time-release is faster in higher temps, so that varies - the more watering, the more fertilizing. I think I used a little less and it lasted for the entire 100 day grow. I saw some imbalances the last few weeks, but by then they were busy filling in buds anyway. You can also enhance with teas if you're careful.

All the info you need is in Doc Bud's older threads on OC+

Thanks for the response, appreciated.

I just wanted to make a note that I have stopped washing my buds unless absolutely necessary....IMHO it knock the terpines off somehow.....the smell is muted. I had the chance to compare with pounds....of the same strains...........the wash is only a expedient method of cleaning contaminated products...IMHO.

Interesting Loadie and it was skipped over somehow. But you compared side by side and feel as if washing has reduced smell a touch?
