McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

OK guys.....dr earth soil is 22 bucks, ocean forest is 20....anyone like the ocean forest?, The only other soil I ever grew with was kellogs....and I would grow in poop befre I grew in it again! Your comments are desired!

I love Ocean Forest. I can't get it over here any more. Bummer.

My first book on pot was "A Child's Garden of Grass".:high-five:

Nice.

I got a load of soil amendments today, mc.

None of what I wanted,

a lot that I didn't expect to be able to get.

I don't know if loopty will have the honour,

but what do you think?

Nice rico....nice pot too! We're lookin at pots now.....I have one that will work. This will be lovely! +reps

Here we go, I got dr earth soil, they had foxfarm in about three different flavors, dr earth is the best soil I can afford. I saved 12 dollars getting it at my friendly nursery rather than the grow store. I told em at the grow store my loyalty wanes when I can get it that much cheaper somewhere else. OK, ya get all your shit together to repot.

Go get some cuts.
0031386.JPG
I put in soil and stick the cuts in the pot with the added soil til it's at the level I want. So, it took four scoops of soil.......I start with four scoops of soil on each one.

Roll the solo cup between your palms to loosen the soil from the cup.
0051231.JPG
It will usually stick to the bottom too, so a little pressure on the bottom til it slips out. Hold your other hand over the top of the cup to catch it as it comes out.

TaDa! These are acceptable roots and are at the optimal time for transplant, or potting up.
008934.JPG
It will be at the perfect height when you place it in the pot, in this case a two gallon nursery pot.
009833.JPG
Fill around your plant, the soil needs to be nice and loose...don't pack it in. As you put the soil around your plant you can adjust it and straighten it. After I have all the soil in the pot, I give it like a downward jerk...this settles the soil just enough to ensure that I don't have any air pockets around the roots

There it is, a properly transplanted clone.

Like I said, these are two gallon nursery pots, and they got watered in with two cups of tap water. I'm kinda anal about this, if the pots don't have the same moisture levels in the pots, I'll have two water them on individual schedules...a pain in my ass. I water ALL my plants at the same time...the ones that are in groups, and will be grown together....every thing is the same!

Missed this one on the down load, these 15 plants are scheduled for a 6-7 week veg period, I'm liking to veg longer, even though the nodes are staggered, and the cuts carry the same maturity as the mother............I want the stem to get as thick as possible. I expect close to an oz. each from these plants. The only thing between achieving my goals or not is me, I have evreything required...and overkill on some things..........

These plants will experience no stress whatsoever.......
