McBudz - White Widow and Northern Light / Big Bud grow

Cry me a river - LOL lucky
I can't wait to see what you go with.

I ordered a can style filter from foothill filters on ebay. They are about half the cost or less of a CAN filter or similar brandname. They sell air scrubbers and such too. Check em out. I'll report on effectiveness next week once it comes and I get it installed.

Can't help but make the stink face when you walk upstairs in my house... lol :yikes:

lovin the stink face!! cant wait for my filter to quit workin, lol. Looking good there brother. Is this your first time with a big-bud cross? If not I was wondering what you would make of the grow difficulty, never tried it myself.

First time with BB cross. They were hard to get goin IMO. the seeds were huge about 2 or 3 times the size of a normal seed. they all cracked open but died shortly after. Only 2 survived and 1 was male.

They had a little bit of an issue during veg where the leaves got a wierd red shimmer on them then started to die in some parts. I think this was due to my ph dropping a bit and it seemed to be sensitive to this more so than the WW and HK at the time. I fixed the pH and foliar fed for a while and it came back.
It seems to be budding slowly but then again its budding at the same pace as my widow to the far left. Big Stinky ( all the bud closeups above) is out pacing everyone in bud / trichome development. I wonder if she will go as long as the other 2 and have a ridiculous yield or if the other 2 are just underdeveloped. I guess time will tell.

BBNL sucks up a ton of water. I have to water e3d or even more. It wilts badly if you let it dry out too much. Never seen a plant use so much body language. Its kind of leaving me to wonder what to do when I leave to visit my family over thanksgiving. I'll be gone for 4 days and she be all f'd up if she goes that long. I was kind of thinking I should set the pot in a pan with about 1 inch of water. I know this is not good practice but I also know this chick will drink it up quick enough not to cause root issues.

^ good idea but don't have an airstone. I think she'll be fine in an inch of water. It will only sit for a day tops since it will get used up or evaporate before any harm is done.

Just noticed today the top of one of the colas got a little cooked under the new light. Backed the light off and clipped away the fried leaves. Hopefully she'll be alright. WW's are fine though, they sit lower. New lights are powerful.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving...

Day 37 of flowering

Transplanted the clones with the best root systems. Ended up with 7 WW's and 2 NLBB.

Big Stinky's buds are just getting more and more dense everyday and some nice foxtailing going on. They are all looking very frosty.

The other WW is starting to fill out better.

The NLBB does not seem to be filling out anymore and all the hairs have turned dark red towards the top half of the plant. Also see some seeds forming on a lower bud site but see no pollen sacs anywhere.

Thanks creamm

Nice shots! So, in your opinion do you think the NLBB is a sneaky girl makin seeds, or a possible accidental pollenation?

I have no idea. I know there was pollen in house a few months back but not sure if it is still fertile. I dont see any signs of pollen sacs anywhere and I think I would see them in my tent its sealed up pretty good. I'll keep an eye on them and save them for sure when they mature.

bored and posting a pic of a closeup on big stinkys trichs

Very nice buds McBudz, and even better photography. I love the colors on these ladies, there are gunna be alot to trim!

flyfish, 4twenty thanks guys.

southernboy- I feel like Big Stinky , the one with the fat buds and 50% red hairs , is going to go first. The trichs are clearish/cloudyish and I'm keeping an eye on them. Today is 41 days so almost 6 weeks. It could be somewhere around 3 weeks + or -. The one all the way to the left looks like she'll go a a little longer. She was slower to start filling out. She has tons of bud sites too. The NLBB appears to have stopped filling out which is disappointing. Not sure whats up with it. Maybe its just bad genes? If she doesn't do anything int he next couple of weeks I'll probably just throw her clones in the garbage and flower the 6 WW clones in the tent. It will be tight in there but it will work out.
:peace:
