Loving it my man, those bud shots make me want to flower a purple elephant now . I think the simplicity of dwc might be shocking bro. I mix my nutes pour them in check ph daily and adjust if need be. Once you get it locked in though you just sit back and watch them grow. I have done soil and dtw coco but am hooked on the hempys at the moment. So far my coco/perlite hempy is my favorite. I have 2 twin sour monster clones one with perlite one with out in hempys. Only difference I can tell is the perlite one drys a little faster otherwise they look identical.

I suppose the idea is extremely simple, I guess I was just saying that there is more that could go wrong... I don't have any experience though so I would take my word with a grain of salt. I definitely LOVE the Coco Hempy approach... So easy to grow in. Why do you prefer the Coco/Perlite Hempy over the plain Coco one?

And thanks for the compliments, I can't wait to see what you can do with the Purple Elephant in your set up :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley: Gonna be a beautiful plant.

I guess I just like the idea of more 02 to the roots but judging by the side by side test it's makes little to no difference.

Definitely that makes sense... Maybe it would make a difference in a GeoPot or Smart Pot maybe? One that has a lot of access to oxygen anyways.

QUICK UPDATE

Hey 420magazine! Just had the time to jot down some info so I figured I would make it an update on the Journal for housekeeping purposes. I will be posting a picture update soon, most likely tomorrow. Lots of fun things going on in my city this week / weekend... spending 4/20 in a state with Legal Recreational Marijuana is such a blessing.

PE HARVEST

Tomorrow (April 14, 2015) begins Purple Elephants 2 week flush, she will be getting 4 gallons of Denver Tap Water (PH'ed to 5.8) every other day until 4 days before Harvest (April 24, 2015) and from then on she will be allowed to dry out.

The trichomes are sitting at about 10% Amber / 75% Cloudy / 15% Clear currently, I figure they will ripen out these last two weeks, and this smoke should already be sedative in effect without a lot of Ambers.

SEED ORDER

I also placed an order on The Single Seed Centre's website, and should hopefully be seeing some new seeds within a month. I am getting stocked up so come this Fall, I will have a large selection to chose from when I set up my grow tent in my new home... The newest additions include:

Holy Grail Kush (Fem) (1)
Skywalker OG Kush (Fem) (1)
Tahoe OG Kush (Fem) (1)
Tahoe OG (Fem) (1)
KirkWood OG (Reg) (3)
Critical Kush (Fem) (1)
Purple Chem (Fem) (1)
707 Headband (Fem) (1)
Super Skunk (Fem) (1) (Free)
Auto Northern Lights (Fem) (1) (Free)

Very excited about all of the seeds in that order, especially the 707 Headband... Hopefully I'm lucky and get a good colorful Pheno from that seed, because I will definitely save it.

A fun update Max. Nice write-up on the soil mix. So we're running about a week apart on our soils? It should be fun to watch the new class grow up.

Frosty dayz to you brother. They look great :goodjob:

Even frostier days to you my friend! :cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks for the support, no one has grown these babies better than you, so all I can do is try my best! Both the Sour Monster and the Carls Jr. have been so easy-going and happy plants. And FROSTY! Love the completely opposite structures of them too.

Startin to smell real sour in the tent, coupled with the smell coming off the Purple Elephant it is almost unbearable in there!

That Sour Monster reminds me of the Ice keeper pheno...way to go man!

Trig

The Sour Monster didn't waste any time frosting up.. thats for damn sure. She has been such an easy plant to take care of, I can't wait to see the final results.

One of the dry boxes (big cardboard box) I had hanging in my tent a couple weeks ago actually fell right on top of the SM, and bent the top 3-4 inches completely over... No breakage thank god, but it definitely had to recover from that... Which I think attributed to the dense bud packing on the top 6-8 inches of the plant... I will take better pictures of what I'm talking about.

Also Trig, I owe you a debt of gratitude, Sub let me in on everything that is going on... You're the man! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Caught up finally.
I had to check out that SD.
Beautiful trees my friend. Your seed list is going to get you hunted down. Lol. I'm jealous.

Welcome aboard Cajun! More than happy to have a grower of your caliber on board :cheesygrinsmiley: I'm glad the SD didn't disappoint! I will be posting some more pictures of her soon.. She has come a long way!

And yeah my seed list will get me hunted down.. by my girlfriend   That last order was SO expensive... Oh well, just gotta look at the big picture :cheesygrinsmiley: Besides, all of those new Cali Connection ones should be so fun to grow. Been waiting for SO LONG to pop 707 Headband and Skywalker OG Kush... :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks again for stopping by, your advice is always welcome here my friend :cheesygrinsmiley:

It was even more fun to be apart of! :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks for the compliments! The soil was SOOOOOO fun to mix. I think it is so fun gettin' elbows deep in all of that healthy soil! Knowing that soon the life of my little babies will pulse through it! :cheesygrinsmiley:

I believe we are about a week apart, today is officially 8 days since I mixed mine. Gonna give her a gallon of water today probably.. Can't wait to see how its doing! :cheesygrinsmiley: And yeah Sue, it's about time we graduated and moved on to bigger things, DocBud definitely opened a fun new door for us! The only difference is I did myself a big disservice by not choosing LOS first :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks for stopping by Sue, if you ever need a break from the constant outpouring of knowledge over in your thread, you're always welcome here! Things are a little quieter over here :cheesygrinsmiley:  :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey 420magazine!!

So I am at my grow tent right now and I am taking some pictures, and this one turned out exceptionally well... This is easily the best photo I have ever taken of Cannabis. I just had to share it immediately! :cheesygrinsmiley: :cheesygrinsmiley:

I hope you all enjoy looking at her as much as I do :cheesygrinsmiley: She got her first flush feeding today, 4 gallons of Denver Tap (PH'ed to 5.8). She will get her last Foliar Feeding of Snow Storm Ultra today as well. The expected chop date is 4/28/15 but obviously things could change!
