right on, grats on the bubblebags brother, 8 really is the magic number :)

i find that the extra high really makes a difference on withholding more contaminants between 220μ and the 190μ that one bag just can't.
Also i really like the 90μ addition before the 73μ, gives you something else to taste and experience than your standard "primo hash"
some even find it better than the 73, including myself ;)

i'm glad you're getting into hash, i really think it's the future of this industry. More and more people are starting to vape and the herb is slowly becoming the middleman and nothing else, sure there always will be old schoolers who occasionally blaze a blunt or a joint but at the end of the day even them will go for the concentrate.

Thanks 420bro -- I have been looking and when I saw the price on that set I decided to leap. I have a growing supply of stuff that I can get into those bags and see what comes out the other end. I haven't done any real hash in years, and when I tried it before I was probably unwashed, or poorly handled product. So thanks for the info! I'll hit you up down the road if I run into any trouble, thank you!

So much for the bubble bags for now, they called yesterday and said they are on backorder,,, offered me the 5 bag kit but I said no thanks. Looks like I'll be holding onto my 'spare' leaves and maybe feeding them to my worms, using some as mulch.

Couple more days I'll be dropping those beans..... cant' wait!!!

You could freeze the leaves. Any reason anyone know of that this wouldn't work?
 
That's a great idea! I've got a big bag of frozen cuttings from my last harvest and I intend to use them with my next harvest for a nice haul of oil or what not. Just didn't have enough this time around.

This would work perfectly. I immediately froze my trim after cutting it on my first Journal... I always do. Blended it while it was still frozen to make my butter... It was honestly still pretty cold when I started adding it to the Butter / Water mixture on the stove.

Another interesting effect of freezing it (as told to me by my friend who works at TCLabs here in CO, a THC concentrate company), at least if you do it while it is freshly harvested, is that the terpene profiles are MUCH higher.... like that of a live plant. Many Concentrate Blasters and Labs here in Colorado have started producing what is called "Live Resin" (also known as Holy Water); in which a fresh harvest is immediately frozen with Liquid Nitrogen and then blasted using the normal Closed Loop Vacuum Purge method...

It can all be a bit confusing but the point is that in Lab tests Terpene Profiles tested much higher (upwards of 10% to 15% higher) in Live Resin vs. regular Shatter. MUCH tastier :cheesygrinsmiley:

Now my Freezer is nothing compared to Liquid Nitrogen and the cold stainless steel of a lab... But what I have noticed is that; my CannaButter, CupCakes, and Muffins don't just smell and taste like weed.... They taste and smell like Warlock... I took a moment to savor it yesterday, and the resemblance to how my Warlock smelt while it was growing is just... uncanny.

I've noticed that any edibles I've made have the distinctive flavor of the individual plants. So freezing can enhance that? This is quite interesting. More study is needed. Thanks for the link Max.
 
Good info, thanks for that link Max! I've read before that freezing right after chop is best, thanks for that info Sue. I'm going to save the best sugar leaves, I've got them separated already, although not much. Well see what the next few months bring in terms of additions to that collection.

My past experience with edibles isn't great,, I'm looking forward to making some with a better product.

Now, I may be making assumptions when I say that it makes your edibles taste more like the strain it was made with... but it makes sense if Terpene Profiles tested higher in concentrates that where made with frozen bud that they would test higher in Butter made with frozen bud... At least it makes sense in my head :rofl:

I have had a hard time finding info on the subject.
 
They've only just begun to investigate cannabis. Keep looking. Israel has been doing the most research for the longest period, so that may be a good direction to look. I've never gone looking myself. Your supposition makes sense to me as well.
 
Couldn't sleep last night, getting anxious to get going. Was able to locate the final pieces of my green/hoop house. Found a local company, imagine that in my backyard. Final size will be 12x12 although, today I'll decide if I want to goto 12x24. Not much of a price difference between the two. The bigger one will be a little more to heat when that becomes necessary, but the extra size will probably come in handy. One thing I saw I that site was a recommending or the idea of having chickens in the hoop house,, they produce a lot of CO2, and good shit, but mainly the CO2 in the hoop house is what I'm thinking about.... I read somewhere where Ranger275 was involved/helped in a grow like that. I just wonder what steps I'll need to take to protect the flock if I go that direction.....
 
I hear ya, DP. No chickens, that makes sense. I'm leaning 12x12 since I have some parts to extend it, and my goal of six outdoor would fit in that. But, I am going to think long and hard about the bigger one. I know in a few years I'll want that, but. I'm just thinking it might be best to get one small one up and running, get it running right, before i go that big. But,,,, that's just laziness speaking :)

I tried to sign up for a master gardener course in my AO,,, but it's full. Have to wait until next year or just follow the bright ones here ;)

Last spring game tonight, going to Jet Blue Park with the lady only to see if the Sox can win one while I'm here....wish us luck!
