MassMedMan's Spring Fling - Indoor/Outdoor - Organic - Medical - 6 Autos

I see the plant I'm topping later is bursting out of the smart pot, roots are. So, I got a few extra smart pots yesterday and I got some soil that's ready. So, I'm going to fill a five gallon smart pot with soil only this time, fill it about 2/3 full and drop that 3 gallon with the plant into it. Then I'll pack soil around the sides between the two pots.

I don't know what value there is, maybe I'm wasting soil. But, I'll never know until I do it so. I just see those roots and realize they can be air pruned, or allowed to go deeper. ?? And then air pruned.

This will be my second three gallon I've up potted this way. The other won't be topped, so, I've got some good comparisons going.

This is an interesting experiment. Your theory is that the roots may re establish outside the smaller pot into the surrounding added soil solution? In essence a kinder, gentler transplant? An exciting possibility.

Except the ventilation, I hit my goal of under 200$ for the build. I'm happy with that. .it's not pretty, it might withstand high wings,,, but it will grow some great bud this summer!!! Thanks for coming by Stevio, and thanks for the tips. Let's see what you can do, daddio, for less than two bills ;)

Less than two bills? I think I might run to the store today and see if I can whip up a materials list for everything. :thumb: I'll let ya know, lol.

Any quick tips I should know before I look at anything?

Don't cut the pvc. I had some genius idea to cut my twenty four foot pieces, to accommodate a center brace. That didn't go well, cost me two days. Other than that they're pretty simple, get a bigger bag then you need,, glad I did.

I LSTd one auto plant today instead of topping. I'll explain tomorrow with pics,, thing loved it...

Good night

Morning all, uneventful night, all looks good. :Namaste:

Yes, that THC bomb has caught up, nice eye ;)

Although, it still lacks compared to three candy kush and one cheese candy. The THC is lacking in branch development from the nodes compared to the other ones, but height wise it's almost there.

Most measure ten inches, two inches on average higher than yesterday. .works.

I've been brewing a tea with Peruvian seabird guano, gave them a cup this morning and half hour later before I left they all greened up.... Good stuff that sea bird shit. Have a nice day, Sorrena, thank you for coming by!

Probably be the end of the week for pictures agAin.... happy 420 everyone!!

Is that the Sunleaves 12-11-2 stuff MMM. I use the same in my soil. I have found better results with Vermacompost teas than with the seabird but that's just my own personal findings with the soil I'm making it would be completely different for someone else unless they had my recipe. Which I share as an open source. Making a tea out of Sunleaves SBG 12-11-2 is definitely a cost efficient way of using it. Then again I spread about a 5lb bag through 8 bags of dirt. My next journal is going to be doing side by side veganic live soil versus organic live soil.... maybe followed by a Organic supersoil vs a Veganic super soil. Just to see the difference :) The fun things you can do with a controlled room :volcano-smiley:

I didn't get it in the soil before time, before I cooked it, so, I just did a tea. I have more soil cooking and I added some pellets to the soil. I think that is the brand. I'll look later. I saw a noticeable change after they got it. I gotta say, it's a little more work, but I like making teas and feeding that way. Thanx for looking, things are pretty good.

Noticed one leaf that looks like something is into it. Saw brown speckles a few of them on one leaf, flipped it over and it looked like somebody/thing was working on that side.

I made some neem, sprayed it on while they were in greenhouse under clouds, and I'll look again tomorrow. I know neem takes a few doses, and I was just thinking of starting them on it.... ;)

Cheers!

I'll say this now. Purchase some nematode spray! There are different species of Nematodes but they are pet and human safe. Miniature lil worm like parasites that attack all invasive bugs and will suck the life out of them, their children or whatever. They are a win/win :)

I saw a clear worm crawling out of my soil this morning,, was that a nematode? That plant is kinda light green, stunted, the worst one...

You'd have a hard time seeing a nematode.. If you have worms in your soil might just be a pup ;)

It could be worms, I put some in there when I packed the pots, and another time.... and I swear I'm seeing worms holes.... thanks, I'll look into that spray,, just was actually ;)

I'll order some, I'm sure it'll help with all my gardens.

I worked some mosquito bits in today and I put three or four worms in my LOS pots today,, watched them crawl in. I for sure saw worm holes this morning.

That makes over a half dozen worms in each pot. Before that I cut back the clover, and added more, or new alfalfa hay.

How many worms do you think is too many? ;)

They be shitting up a storm I bet.

I LSTd the THC bomb. And adjusted the lst on the candy kush. I'm done training, they both look great.

They all love the side light,,, gonna have some bushes
