I have a QB tent and a "blurple" (I can't even believe I said blurple, I hate the term) 2x2 and she can still produce some lovely product my friend. You won't get a gram a watt or better like QB's, or these new Mars setups, but with the right technique, and a light that still works fine, WHY NOT. That being said, eventually my epistar 80 will be just a backup light or VEG. I figure why not get a few more cycles out of her in the mean time.

She is currently growing and about 5.5 weeks into Bloom. Mars Epistar 80 in a 2x2 Scrog Dinafem OGK.

I used a blurple for about 2 years and produced some nice bud.

I have plenty of runs under my belt with old tech(quality was never an issue), but my QB setup(which I feel the 3500k lacks in Deep Red and IR) is SO much more powerful. I run 280 watts and where the boards crossover light, some of the tops are 85000 lux at 14.5 inches. Even the outer edges get 40000 or better. My new frame that I will eventually build will spread the boards out more and add some deep red and IR. Otherwise, no complaints, massive yields and HUGE colas. I wouldn't mind trying the SP3000 in my 2x4 , definitely liking the PAR output and or footprint on the edges.
