this new CREE light is amazing,

im looking everywhere to find a dimmable and spectrum control panel to suit my needs for a special very tight setting i want to try .... unfortunatly, i really dont like the "curving patern" on the sides of this new light ... dont fit my special needs at all. if the panel was normal, no curve on the sides, the small one would be perfect for my needs ....

so please tell me Sara if i can have this new panel without the strange curve on the sides

if no, will have to continu searching for the panel of my dreams ....

Uh huh, same old story. I have read numerous posts by people making the same claims and even more, but i am yet to meet one grower in person who rates these lights for flower, everything is on forums or YouTube. Needless to say i fell for this nonsense and it cost me $1200 to find out i should have just stuck to HPS.

I'll keep them for veg but they were pathetic in flower. I tried pretty much every method to increase the yield and had some advice from established growers on here and still ended up with less than 0.5gpw.

Check out my journals. My last 4 plants to come out of my flower tent under a Mars 900 and I got about 15oz of hard dense bud from 4 different strains. :peace:

I have a Broken mars II led. 25 of the leds are out.. what is the best action to take SmokeSara

I had the same issue. Could be a bad driver. You can open it up and swap the plugs from one of the other drivers (there are 3) and see if it come on. If so, they can send you a new driver and you can fix it yourself. If not, the have repair facilities (depends where you are) that you can send it to. I would send Sara a PM with pictures of the light off and the light on. :peace:

What light would better suit me for my grow tent (3ftx2ftx5ft)? The 96x5 or the 144x5? Temps will be an issue but only during summer time. I only plan to do 2-3 plants max. Since the tent is more of a rectangular shape I just feel the reflector series will provide better coverage than a Mars 2 series. The 144x5 will almost be the same length of the tent which i feel like might be too much.

Thoughts?

Thanks all

Just received my first marshydro light; a 300w first gen. Very nice build quality, light output and value. I will definitely be purchasing a mars II.

Can anyone recommend what size light would be suitable for a 5' x 5' area. I was thinking a 900w?

Peace.

I have seen posts where the size of buds from LED'S is questioned and while I do not want to get involved with that argument I want to post some pics of what I have experienced in my current grow.

These are photos of a medium bud on one plant there are much larger with photos to come the soda can is a 12oz that had to be tilted so you can see it behind the bud

This is the largest top flower from a different plant the same strain from a top vendor, same pack just a different seed in the same tent, nutes are the same light is the same pot size is the same

So who's fault is it when our grows are not as large as what we expect ?
Seed vendors - they show us what we want to grow not necessarily what we get
Light Vendors - each is the best just ask them
Nutrient manufactures - it will turn a Daisy into a Redwood really it will
The Grower - If 7ml is good than 10ml is better, test equipment is not important, It's a weed stick it in the ground and harvest a Kg, Nutes? MG works on my tomatoes beside those others are too expensive, Let's alter the growth cycle, pull off all the leaves, tie it down, break branches then wonder why it is growing slow.

Bottom line is GENETICS and phenotype are the most important and that can be different from seed to seed then it's up to us to provide the proper environment, nutrients, water and control anything else that pops up:thumb:

These were grown under both Mars 2 and Reflector series lights

if you want medium light power mars2 1600W will be ok for 5X5 .... if you want full light power you need 4X mars2 700W. this is a big area.
