Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Well you asked for help, your plants are burning from the bottom up...its not a light issue.

and i already said i appreciate your posts - am just giving you all the facts / info that seem relevant to your replies :)

- by now you're probly starting to see why i am so confused and defeated !

Man those look great ! Will u use the Mar II light for flowering ? Or do u have another set up ?

J

I'm just getting them settled in their new pots then I'll flip them :) They loved the 96x3w for veg too...Here are a couple I started from seed under the 96x3w..

i am certainly no expert, but perhaps that is still too much light for the tiny ones
even with just 1x 300w light hung at least 1.5x the distance recommended by the manufacturer?

maybe you could veg them up a bit with those cfl, let them strengthen up
then try the lights again
am unsure what you mean by 'those cfl', as the 2x 300w LEDs are the only lights i have

i have been waiting for a republican to put me in my place and tell me to get over myself and if i cannot afford the proper equipment that i don't deserve to grow or partake in the great sweetleaf and lol do not try to tell me republicans
are not partaking i was one for many years
oh dont get me started on the GOP - i'm upset enough already :p

I am a republican and I will put you in your place, this is no place for politics there is a forum here for that.

that one is yes...but I have 4 massive plants vegging under a mars II as well...

I respectfully disagree about it being the LED. It most certainly looks like nute burn. Even tho your soil has no chemical nutes added it probably has organic, natural nutes that are too hot for seedlings. Check my thread as it is with LED bulbs and is green and lush. Good karma being sent to ya:peace:

while i appreciate your intent, i hope that you guys can understand that due to you both using different LED lights to me, your setups arent comparable enough to be of much help in my particular and sorry situation

ok first off i am sorry i got two posts mixed, it was trewalker who said he switched in some 42 watt cfl
but still my idea stands maybe get them a bit stronger before using the big boy lights

second... yes 300 watts still sounds like quite a bit for 1 x 1 tiny babies are sensitive
but plz don't take me to heart i have never grown with led, i will step aside as you have some veteran help here
just wishing to help in any way

take care and good luck

ok i am now gonna apologise again sorry mr buckshot
i think i should read more and type less
so sorry if i offended anyone
good fortunes and long life to all

These days folks want us ripped apart because if we are we can not stand together. Folks here stand together, it is refreshing. After all we are really all the same.

I wish you the same

While we all have different environments, the fact of the matter doesn't change that your issue is burn. Maybe you got a bad block who knows, but that is 100% for sure not a lighting issue. Those seedlings are burned. Our experience is what we are offering you. You said you have tried everything...but changing your medium, I realize you bought the "good stuff" but even the good stuff, ffof, happy frog, black gold, super soil...ect will burn the shit out of a seedling. Continue what you are doing if you want to continue to blow through beans and not more than 2 leaves on them....Or take some advice and start them in smaller pots, in a neutral soil...like promix. Then transplant them into that hot coco you're currently using and be successful.

i wasnt aware of that, and neither is my friend with more than a decade worth of rather successful indoor growing experience, which is why i was happy to take his word

(am also unsure why you mention so many brands of medium that i didnt use, but it doesnt matter)

- even tho the only seeds i have left now are random mystery ones, if any of the few stores in my state actually sold this promix you suggest i'd gladly give it a go

I totally agree. Those poor babies do not like that stuff no matter what the bag says.

PS Do you really trust those workers to be careful washing them?

You want to start in something that has no charge at all, Pro-mix is peat it has Mykos added to it as well that aid in root growth and is also very common. I mentioned those mediums as examples of how the "good stuff" burns...That methodology of starting in a big pot is off a little bit. You'll want your plants to get root bound a bit in veg then transplant for explosive growth.

This is the last post I'll dedicate to this subject. Every bit of honest advice I have offered to you, you have basically told me that I'm wrong. I'll let your buddy with 10 years experience continue to show you how to kill your plants.

..i've said thanks repeatedly, and that i would be willing to follow your advice - why so precious eh?!
