I've also noticed this in pictures. I think it just looks this way because the mars II lights are brighter.
 
just got my reflector 144 x 3w in the mail today and am very happy with the light it puts out. I wish I had some better hangers for it but the light itself is a win for my setup. Now ill just have to wait and watch the magic.

yes, actually, we are usingt the same spectrum ratio, we want all our lights work great, haha.
 
by a fire, wow, here we can only use air conditioner. warm mode, haha.

was 14 degrees Fahrenheit last night. had to throw my weight into my door to open this morning. 5x5 tent with a 1600 and a 4inch blower with 2 6inch standard fans inside temps of tent were right at 72 degrees. i added a heater just to keep my night temps closer to my peak light temps that are 78 degrees right now.
just 4 more inches of snow and im on the slopes!

id recommend growing veggies and herbs during the winter with your 1600's could keep a small apt very warm ;)
and taste some fresh veggies

wow, it is very very cold, here is 45F and no snow,gentle breeze, but I feel very cold when I walk outside.

yes, I have grow tent and light, I can grow some vege, tomato and flowers. sleep with them? temperature is high in there, haha .
