Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I like SolarQueen, too, although mostly the Solar part - fits the Mars/planetary thing. :cheesygrinsmiley:

It would be nice to refer to the 5-diode reflector modules somehow - that's the new tech. Penta? Penta something?

How 'bout PentArray? :cheesygrinsmiley: An array of 5's. Also, it sounds like "ray", a beam of light. And rays are things we think of in space - cosmic rays, ray guns, etc. Maybe PentaRay ... or SolArray ...

[Edit] I don't get any hits on pentarray when I Google it ... :Namaste:

Sara,
How about the Wild Grow Series?

How long will the testing be? Any idea on pricing and selling date? Are these another Reflector type light? It looks like they might be a smaller COB style with more than one LED in light each area. Are they?

Top LED never did sell any of the COB style after testing. Glad you tested them before I spent anything on a COB style light. The honesty of your company sure helps me feel confident that your company has me and other users as the important part of the business. The buyers. I'm always looking for new technologies for growing my medicine. I can't wait to see these grow.

Its arrived! its finally arrived!
Very nice light, cant wait to see the testers get theirs up.

someone asked above if someone would do a side by side with a mars 2, i wont mention any names but one of the testers has tested a mars 2 1600 against some 144x3 so im guessing and hoping we will see something along these lines with their new light.

Edit : they almost look like a chip on board set up. cant wait to order mine

just heard that it may be a bigger version of their reflector series. really looking forward to this new light

also thought it was pretty cool when i heard that this is a test run (as topled has stated several times) and not a sponsored run like i thought it was. True opinions from True growers. not much competition can argue with this.

Unrelated but kinda relevant. Last night on the local news, they said a big way to save money growing is to use LEDs. I love living in WA lol.

they wouldnt call us the evergreen state for no reason, other then were forever green ;)

What would the difference be between a ssponsor grow and a test grow? May be a stupid question, but I honestly don't know

Now this is just my own opinion.

A sponsored grower is less likely to give negative feedback and give negative attention to the sponsor. I could be way off base with how sponsors work here, but from my experience you have certain expectations you must meet. When I was getting free basketball shoes, I had to wear them in all tournaments and charity events I played in. Likewise, I see people posting unnecessary pictures all the time of a companies logo, at the start of every picture update.

Just read around the sponsored journals here, I can't find complaints.

Once again, my opinion, and I have been wrong plenty of times before.
